In this footage we see a British convoy travelling along the N13 into Caen, then southbound on the old N158 (nowadays it is a motorway) to Falaise (3:25). During the third leg of the journey to Argentan, the camera is positioned above the N158 on a railway bridge, filming the convoy approaching and going under the bridge. This section still exists today, it is at Breveaux near Occagnes, 8 miles north of Argentan. Convoy enters the town at 5:28.
At 6:31 we see the word "Paris" chalked on the lead truck, suggesting the ultimate destination, whilst other trucks appear to carry the names of girlfriends....

These trucks the Brits are driving are left hand drive. Are they commandeered German vehicles or American ?

Most are American, Whites, Macks and at least one British Bedford QL. There are also a Humber Box medium utility/staff car and a Tilly which was made by either Standard, Hillman, and Austin.

Not so, these are American trucks. Perhaps driven by British troops.
