  • Inflammation Beats Cholesterol for Heart Attacks (Study)
    In this study researchers from Brigham and Woment's Hospital, Mount Sinai Hospital, Cleaveland Clinic, etc. demonstrate that inflammation control becomes more important than cholesterol control in patients already taking statins. Let's review.

    Brilliant message done in a balanced open way. I’m 55 and husb 60+. Our CRP and other markers are done 1-2x per yr. Also key for 50+ (maybe 40+ now) is a Coronary Calcium Scan. It shows arterial plaque. Another valuable tool to find heart disease in early stages and determine how severe. Peace and health to all. Edit: neither husb or I need or take a statin.

Other important point..that statin olay giidt role as mast cell stebilizer that will reduce inflammation inflammation and has significat role to reduce . CRP
      But mostly effective vit that will reduce cardii vascular problems.. is proboitic.. turmeric curcumun.. and D3 with k2.. and imega3... And lastly important is magnisuum and zinc... But as dr been say the hapoy and reduce thinking and anxiety and depression as the most important point to reducea y health problem including any inflamation and even cancer.. so try to get nice psycilogic state.. and sleep and prevent depression and anxiety.. by taking.. low dose xanax and low dose lorazepam.. when ever u feel tention or sressed. Just started the video. I have heard elsewhere that inflammation is a big issue in cardiovascular health before. In my experience and this is not medical advice, I had found that taking vitamin complex D3+K2 with magnesium has shown, through tests ordered by my primary, to have very low inflammation and undetectable calcium buildup in my arteries. I started taking this vitamin complex because of calcium build up in my ears causing vertigo. I no longer have vertigo. The complex with magnesium moves free calcium in the flesh to the bones. Other side effects are that my dentist has seen my teeth get stronger, The complex also has boosted my immune system. Except for COVID I have not been sick for the last 7 years since I started. I used to get a cold every fall and a sinus infection every winter. But they don't happen anymore.

    • @integrityshines561

      Colchicine got FDA approval last year to reduce cardiovascular risks in people have coronary artery disease. There is a lot of data to support its anti inflammatory benefits and it can help stabilize plaque and reduce heart attacks. It should be used more widespread but doctors are reluctant to use it is often described as having a lot of side effects and being dangerous to the kidney. There are recent publications that support its safety when used in low doses of 0.5 to 0.6 mg daily and dose can be lowered to every other day in renal impairment and can be avoided in severe renal impairment. What is so perplexing that in FMF colchicine is dosed up to 2 mg daily lifelong and is considered safe and effective for that indication. And now when we can robust cardiovascular risk reductions via its anti inflammatory effects the side effects are overemphasized and docs reluctant to prescribe. There are a few drug interactions that one must avoid in but other that it has such a long track record of use in gout and FMF. It’s seems that that it could compete with the corporate profits to be made of a big blockbuster pharmaceutical .. hence we don’t hear much about it and is not repeatedly endorsed to be used like the new and costly agents.

    • @Mir_Nohti
      @Mir_Nohti 2 місяці тому

      @@Sudzilla86Not sure if you're speaking to me, but they have been using the colchicine for recurrent pericarditis and for coronary artery disease it is a "weak" Class 2b recommended treatment. The FMF I have is systemic and the colchicine has been helpful, but while that is true, colchicine has to be dosed carefully as toxicity and tolerance can be problematic. I also have to avoid citrus fruit like grapefruit, so this also means I avoid teas with bergamot, etc. to so my body can detox the substance effectively. Anyway, if I had recurrent pericarditis and/or coronary artery disease, I would definitely consider the drug. I think there is more general inflammation in our bodies than gets credit for all manner of disease processes, but that is just my personal unqualified opinion.

      Just nonsence, the body (liver mostly) makes the colesterol it needs! Without colesterol no life! And the PARTICLE nr witch are lipo proteins(the carrier of colesterol) can vary quite much, you don't have a constant LDL, HDL nr! Mabye it's to difficult for people to understand this? But it's critical to understand how this work, or else just forget to talk about this subject

    And how do you reduce inflammation? By cutting out sugars and carbs. Also by eating animal fats.

    What is it about inflammation that contributes to cardiac damage? Is it that the vascular system is damaged by it (like the endothelial lining of arteries) and so small LDL is more likely to get stuck and build up?

      Maybe, but it inhibits CoQ10, selenoproteins, vitamin k2. More likely to cause heart failure and atherosclerosis.

    It doesn't mean that cholesterol is not significant. Just because strychnine is more poisonous than arsenic, that arsenic is harmless. Combine inflammation AND cholesterol and you get a worse condition. Most people who have high inflammation have crap diets anyway, that include high cholesterol (and you don't get high cholesterol without high saturated fat, which also contributes to inflammation).

    • @Gabi-fg7hw
      @Gabi-fg7hw 2 місяці тому

      No, I (and many others) have high cholesterol without saturated fat or bad diet. Despite all these, CAC of 0 and virtually no inflammation.

      @@Gabi-fg7hw Yeah, you no doubt got Hypercholesterolemia as a genetic disposition. You're in the reductionist minority.."and many others",is quite a throwaway line....It's a strange phenomenon that MOST people with high cholesterol, stop eating cholesterol, their cholesterol reading goes down.......doh.
