I’ve run nothing but NVX for almost six years now and I’ve never had an issue. 6 amps, 6 subs, a dozen sets of speakers, and hundreds of feet of wire. Their customer service is definitely sub-par but I’ve always gotten responses from them. 🤷♂️ I think they are coming out with more products this year too.
Don’t have one of those. Made a video on fixing my input voltage and setting gains. Bluetooth goes to eq then that goes to amps. No radio. These full bridge amps want under 2.5v input, 2.0v is ideal.
I have DC audio level 4 12s they seem to play all day off a hifonics 6000.1 Which I'm sure in true hifonics fashion is about 30% fat so I might have 4,000 I certainly have the power to make power to the amp so it has to be putting out at least double what the 3k put out which was 1800 no clip 2200 at clipping ... but that's also playing music not a test tone .
Rise will eat into that too. When I checked mine this fall I saw 2.5 ohms from 1 ohm wiring. It’s the burps and frequencies farther from tuning you have to worry about.
Can’t beat them. I’m getting some v3 12s soon to compare to the v2s. Really beefy subs and sound great in my experience. Don’t forget to use code RILEY815 at NVX.com for 10% off.
5k watts to 2 1k watts subs! lol Dude! yea no wonder you can only run it for less than a minute hahaha! nice set up man i like the amp rack! Maybe i'll do a video of my upgrade.
So, it’s set just below clipping with a 0db test tone but most of my music is -7.5 to -5 so it’s not at full tilt while playing normally. I’m slowly working up the courage to go full tilt. 😂 I might set gains on -10 and take it up to clipping on music. I’m already shattering plastic pieces of my interior. 😬
@@thelifeofriley815 holy smokes! 😂 Next thing you know you'll need double half inch plexiglass! I'm gonna run 2 10s sundown 750w RMS each with down4dound JP8. Should be sufficient. Will be running 2nd battery as well, did you put the other fuse at the 2nd battery between the front n rear?
@@thelifeofriley815 did that relay come in handy? I was debating about that as well. I have 2 NVX amps as well. One is 2k n the other 3k. The relay goes between fuses from the batteries or just right before the 2nd battery?
@@fulanito47 the relay separates the batteries for when the car isn’t charging them. This helps the batteries sit at the resting voltage they like and not pull each other up or down. Once I get a new front battery I’ll take it out and just leave the batteries directly connected.
Lol, speaking from experience the switch to 1 ohm is a one way ticket to slap town, but you are definitely going to blow those subs if you leave it wired like that. Especially unloading the box on music. Maybe you can save your subs by setting the infrasonic filter on the amp. I speak from experience, go back to 2 ohms or you will be upgrading subs next.
It’s either 1 or 4 ohms with these subs. I don’t blast it on normal music, just rebased stuff like DJ Russticals and with frequencies near my peak. 2-2.5 ohms rise is helping the subs stay below their max rating but it’s fully sending them. Going to do a couple burps on a meter then go to 4 ohms. The amp is set to 28 subsonic and 70 low pass. That’s half an octave below and double my peak frequency.
@@thelifeofriley815 I was doing the exact same thing on my subs but I liked it so much I never wired it back up figuring I would remember to keep the bass knob down. Yeah eq was boosting the rca to like 9v and it was still clean on the scope. Amp says it takes up to 6v input but it actually will only take 2.2v before the board is unhappy. 65-100hz should be picked up by your subs
Not with a 35hz tune. It falls off above like 60. Raised tuning to 39 and it’s still struggling to hit 70hz. The fs of the VCW is like 26hz.
Looks like we have a lot of unforeseeable glitches in The Matrix overpowered subwoofers and terrible amp placement stop the clip

Are your subs in phase ??? Kinda looks like they are out of phase of each other on the video.
That has to do with the camera sensor. Also why some videos make the subs look like they are moving in a wave.
My thoughts as well
