This show is like the omnitrix from the original Ben 10 series, Sometimes, you get what you were asking for, but when you don’t...it’s almost always turns out to be a pleasant surprise
I really liked how this book captured magneto's arrogance, his dedication to his mission, the terrifying and awesome ways his powers can be used, and the horrors that bigotry can cause.

I will say, the magneto arc during the final incursion before secret wars kicked off was amazing. Cullen really really set an engaging tone between Magneto and Polaris
This series sounds great! Though to there's no reference Magneto's greatest challenge: The existential dread he felt believing his powers were gone after he couldn't control a WOODEN GUN!
Without a doubt. Sinestro was amazing. Bunn gave him such depth. First time I cared about the other Sinestro Corp members too. It sucks DC decided to make him a generic villain again. Ik its unpopular but I thought the Lobo he wrote was good too.
@@brianadkins3880 Cause people hated the fact DC killed off the original Lobo and replaced him with a Lobo they thought was too pretty boy looking to be the character. So they never gave it a shot.
For both Mangeto and Sinestro: Did you completely root for them100% or were there times you felt uncomfortable and rooted against them? Why do we like it when they get revenge?
@@Seasonal-Shadow_4674 I liked both of them for the same reason in that Bunn understands the nuance in writing characters that have years of history where they've towed the line between a doom bringer and an anti-hero. DC for it's part always has far compelling villains in my eyes, but the X-Men always had the best villains in my eyes as well. Always seeing Erik get pushed back to turning the tide, helping the X-Men or not being characterized like himself was always a bummer to me, so this was a whole breath of fresh air. Also while the series loses steam because of Crossovers and Universe ending events, I think both Remender and Bunn write some great moments for him during Axis--which wasn't a great event.

I always thought that writers a lot of times confuse Magneto & Punisher’s motivations. People think Punisher is this inherently violent monster who used his tragedy as an excuse, and Magneto as this deeply sympathetic and heroic figure. But I never found that the case. Punisher, while by no means a good guy, really is a man who was broken by tragedy. While Magneto is a holocaust survivor who basically became a racist fascist in his own right. His backstory is tragic, but he’s still a narcissist who believes he’s a god.
My dream of getting Back Issues on those 90's Hellraiser comics (published by a imprint of Marvel by the way) just died. *single tear rolls down cheek*

In volume 2 briar shows that there’s groups of people that trade stuff based on super villains like video tapes of the carnage and stuff. I probably would be there similar to I would for X-men stuff. That being said volume 3 was were it gets uncomfortable for me espacally when it gets more personal for him

Magneto has probably dealt with spies for decades and knows a lot of mutants giving him a reason to know at least some of the fake stories. He probably ignores a lot of false negatives too (aka real mutants in trouble).

Bunn wrote two of the best Villain books at the same time between Sinestro and Magneto. So glad to see this book get some love and coverage on this.
