G'Day my friends!!!! Here we are in our second year of full time travel and we are so excited to be sharing with you Tasmania. Often missed on the lap year we are determined to get it on travellers list of places to see. Live Life & Explore Peeps - Catch u on the Road D
Just enjoying your Tasmania (arrival) video. Just a quick question, is there any parking close to the Spirit of Tasmania departure pier which will accommodate vans ? . Cheers and thanks for your time 🍻🍻👍
Ok we were worried about this too, we got there super early as we were told the Westgate was closed. Since we had our dog too we wanted her to have a run around. Port Melbourne is fairly built up and there was lots of people out on the beach but we did find some parking near a reserve, with toilets and play ground a few blocks back. I’ll check to see if I can find the street name
Williamstown Rod - Murphy Reserve I think I was. We drove up to the terminal so we knew were to go and did a nice little lap of port Melbourne and the beach. Have a great time - I’m trying to get our videos out of tassie and they should help. How long do you have in tassie?
Hello! I love your Tasmania videos :) we are heading off in our camper at the end of the year! We were going to take our Vizsla but are wondering how much your dog holds you back from doing/seeing things?? Would you recommend taking our dog from your experience?? Hayley
Yes, when you look at the map you think crap. There is so much national parks but in reality you can’t get into a lot of that. Cradle Mountain was a bit tough and we missed Mariah island. But other than than she was pretty good sleeping in the car for shorter trip and in the van. We did a lot of practice before hand. Just start trying it now. The tassie trip was super hard on our nerves leaving her in the pen for 12 hours.
@@Donna.Buckingham yeah I’ve felt a bit like that when researching where we can go. And the 12 hours in a cage is scary thought too.. we definitely have some things to think about. Thanks for the feedback :)
Hi thanks for the videos really enjoying. We are looking at travelling in a van with a dig and three cats. Would love to hear about your challenged travelling with pets. Also how you manage with kitty litter. What you do with your dog when you need to go somewhere as a family and what you do with the cat.
Yes we had all these questions too - the cats are way more easy than we thought! We put the kitty litter in the shower with the vent open and change it 1-2 times a day. They were inside cats before so they pretty much sleep all day and love looking out the windows and doors. The cats just stay in the van - but I'll do a video about it for you.
I can’t seem to put a link here but go on the App Store and it’s EasyPark it’s a pink logo! And if you are bringing your car they use it for all the parking instead of meters too. Really handy. Thanks so much for watching! How long are you going to have in Tassie
@@Donna.Buckingham Thanks heaps, will have a look. Hubby and I will only be in Tassie for 2 weeks. I’m really looking forward to it. We were meant to go in March last year but COVID hit. I have never been, but hubby has.
@@Donna.Buckingham Would love to see port Arthur and montazuma falls. Hubby said that we are definitely doing the sky deck(?), but I don’t know how ill go, because I’m not good with heights 😂.
Hey Mark, we started loading this yesterday at 12 noon - just looks like it uploaded 27 hours later. That was fun. Hopefully it should be ready to view shortly. Have you been to Tassie?
@@Donna.Buckingham Cradle Mt. Great walks and Wombats (my wife’s favourite animal). Bay of fires next for beaches and free camps. Then Strahan and pieman river area. And lastly you have to go to cockle creek and do the walk to the end of the road.

@@Donna.Buckingham what litter are you using
It’s a paper pallet & we are camping by a beach so using sand instead at the moment
great idea using the sand👍
Thanks for the info . Hi can you put a link to the app you used for camping to book thanks.
We find all our camps on WikiCamps & that one in devenport was easy park it’s a pink app with a P
Thank you for the video. Was extremely helpful. Hopefully heading to Tassie in Nov. You mentioned an App, do you have a link for it?
