hoooooooo boy do I have a lot to say about this one...
So if you read my description of my Chemical Warfare video, my experience with this song is very similar. My first FC of this took agonizingly long, 15+ hours, had many dumb misses, messed up the star power, and was done around the same time. I got my first FC on August 14, 2018, and had a score of 855,761 (I missed the select button on the post-chorus 2 activation and I missed 600 because of it). Since then, I have reFC'd it twice (so 3 FCs in total). This is the best score I was able to get, and it's still almost 1,200 points below UKOGmonkey, who has legit one of the best scores in this game. He hit just about every squeeze possible on this song, and I will never even come close to beating it. GG
I had many problematic sections throughout my grind on this song:
-2:21 I was able to hit these about 80% of the time, but there were a few times where I would just miss here constantly.
-4:14 had a couple dumb misses at the transition to the YB chord. This spot seems broken at times, this seems like this was a problem spot for many people in old vids of this song.
-4:22 sometimes I would oversqueeze at the start of the fast strumming, which really sucked
-4:23 of course I would miss somewhere in the OMGWTFBBQ part every once in a while. Even though I hit it like 95% of the time, the 5% of the time was pretty tilting
-5:02 the transition out of the tapping part into the strums gave me troubles sometimes. If I missed there, I either played the HOPOs too early, or I tapped an extra note when I should've fretted it normally.
-5:06 missed a YB chord once. yikes
-5:21 - 5:26 the double strums in the sweeps would randomly miss sometimes, and the strumming section afterword is super easy to miss for me. If I tried to use the R G hammer ons between the strums I would miss, so I strummed through them most times.
-5:36 - 5:38 same story as above. The hopos between strums can be tough
-5:40 - 5:45 THIS ONE RIGHT HERE. THIS IS WHERE MOST MY RUNS WOULD DIE. FCing up to this point, especially with good squeezes, put my nerves through the roof. My hands would get tangled and just refuse to hit the notes properly, whether I fretted the whole thing or tapped it. My semi-consistent way to hit it was to fret the first half without ever using my pinky, then tap the second half and transition into the quick trills afterword (which surprisingly I hardly ever missed)
-6:12 - 6:14 ALSO THIS ONE RIGHT HERE. Obviously. If I put this section into practice, I could hit it a majority of the time, but never in a real run with an FC up to that point. That's not to say that I couldn't hit it if I had missed prior; If I had missed prior to this section, it was almost guaranteed that I would hit it. infuriating. No exaggeration, I had more than 25 FC runs that died in this section. The nerves were just too damn high. I honestly think the only reason I was able to FC this song for the first time was because I messed up star power earlier, which gave me less nerves because I had already mentally written off that run. Now that I have FC'd this song multiple times, this section isn't nearly as much of a problem.
So there you have it, Fury of the Storm FC. 4/6 GH Dragonforce FCs, just missing both TTFAFs. Very happy to have this song out of the way. This was definitely the song that I feared the most when I started recording this game, and I think it ended up being the song that took me the longest- yes, even longer than Chemical Warfare. And yes, shorter than Black Widow (which is tomorrow baby, get hyped!)
ALSO- I have a 57.2 GB folder of chokes on this song. I'm gonna make choke montages for this and Chemical and upload them as filler videos before I start my next project. You won't wanna miss those, trust me

I picked this game up for the first time in almost a decade. I started a new campaign on hard mode and holy shit I have a newfound respect for people who 100% FC these songs on expert.
Once you get to the battle mode on on quest mode good luck beating that on Expert. Hard as f

It’s the easiest part of the whole solo lmao
I'd have to practice the two hand method I ben doing it with one depending on how I feel I pass it frequently with of course mistakes though it but hit enuf to make it through it but I would love to do it without missing any notes like a do the start of Through Fire and Flames but I can do that with one hand no problem.

@@derpyface4874 Lol that part is unbelievably easy. Its as simple as alt tapping gets. And the transition into it is easy as well since you can just left hand tap the first two notes of it. Same with the transition out. You can just switch to only left hand for the last few notes(since its not even that fast of a left hand tap either). That section is pretty much a break from everything else.

They really didn't have enough star power no pun intended to warrant their own game. All dragon force was really known for was playing really fast, that was it. Band members weren't really notable, They didn't really have a rock and roll story either.

Even at 26 whenever I go on holiday this is the first game I look for in the arcade and its sad that most places got rid of them, it used to be awesome seeing people group round this game in the arcade and see who was a rock god

Same it's unfortunate that the player base for that community has fallen back nowadays but even at my age I still enjoy the game series regardless of the looks I may receive because of not only the nostalgia, but also the challenge it gave me compared to the games nowadays

Fury of the Storm, the best DragonForce song ever in my opinion! Everything about this song is DragonForce made to perfection! The inspiring fantasy lyrics, the perfect mix of the guitar notes that blend with video game music, and the chorus itself is amazing!

I feel like the note sequence they've done for this song could've been way better, i don't know it doesnt always feel right toward real guitar physics.
I love this song more than any one from DF but for the game, i prefer how "Through the fire and the flames" was done and set.GJ on your 100% tho you're rocking it.
Yeah, the first half of the solo is mapped completely wrong. Especially where you can hear the notes raising and lowering pitch, yet the pattern remains the same, then the notes lower pitch and the pattern shifts to the right. It's very inaccurately mapped.
I haven't played this game in a little bit but I could only ever get 97% on this song. I really miss playing it. Loved this game.
