It finally happened. TTFAF FC, nearly 12 years after playing this song for the first time. GH3 FGFC. 70/70. This is my best FC.
After my heartbreaking choke at 3711 notes, I knew I had to keep playing this song until I FC'd it. Immediately after I uploaded that video, I started up a Twitch stream to grind this song for a live audience. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to FC it on stream, but I was able to get multiple 3,000+ note streak runs and a few runs up to the snake. I had a ton of fun interacting with you guys in real time. For a long time, I thought I would never be able to FC this song. I remember the day in 2008 when iamchris4life got the first ever FC of this song, and I thought it was the greatest thing ever done in this game (which it was, at the time). Everybody knows Through The Fire and Flames. It is infamous for how difficult it is, and everybody who has ever played this game wanted to at least be able to pass this song, let alone get 5 stars, let alone hit 100% of the notes on expert. FCing TTFAF is every GH player's dream, and I just accomplished it.
By today's standards in the year 2019, this FC is pretty entry-level for top-tier players. In recent years, I purposefully stayed away from playing this song on GH3PC and Clone Hero because I really wanted my first FC of this song to be on console. FCing this song on GH3PC or Clone Hero is much easier due to having 100's or 1,000's of frames instead of just 60, and Clone Hero has a much more lenient engine. An FC of TTFAF on Clone Hero isn't even close to the difficulty of FCing TTFAF on console. Also, since I like going for high scores to post on Scorehero, I kinda needed to FC this on original hardware so the score would be legit.
All in all, I've probably played this song thousands of times over the years- gradually improving over time, reaching new skill ceilings. There was a time where I was extremely excited that I was able to hit over 700K. There was a time where I my high score was 823K. There was a long period of time where my highest score was 940K. And now here we are. I'm extremely happy that I was finally able to FC this song, and I have loads of clips of me missing in various areas. I could probably make a small montage of the worst misses if you guys want to see them.
Anyways, this leaves me at 658/660 songs FC'd for the Full Series FC. All I have left is the Smash Hits version of TTFAF and I'm The One on GH Van Halen. I'm leaning toward TTFAF happening before I'm The One tbh, but I'll have to get to work and see what I can get done.

People have done it multiple times in a row, blind folded, with barely visible notes, sped up to 150% speed, etc.. It's nuts.
Captain Kerpa The Real version and guitar hero version are not similar. Playing the song on a real guitar would not help you fc this song at all

The star power usage was perfectly timed too. I was really hoping to see the score enter the seven digit range, but I think this is as close as it optimally gets in GH3

Unfortunately, 1 million isn't possible. Optimal is only a few thousand points away from it, but it isn't possible.
Also, UKOGMonkey still has the closest score to optimal, with 992k (?).

It's like _VVVVVV_ no death mode, which some people have gotten good enough at to speedrun it (with all 20 shiny trinkets!) while I've been playing since 2015 and have yet to beat the game with under 25 deaths.

I always come back to this video every once in a while simply because of how impressive something like this is. My high score on this song is about 715k and it just amazes me that a perfect run is possible. I have so much respect for anyone who has put in the time and effort to achieve this.

Actually it's simple when you understand the pattern, it's called: tapping, but requires a lot of practice
@@raphaelramires5347 theres a specific way to do this but it takes hella practice to master it. I think you need to tilt ur hand a little bit so ur fingers are at an angle to hit the red on and off

Id call it a draw... Ttfaf has some ridiculous parts, like descending triplets at the end of the solo, but guitar solo b in jordan is enough to make anyone fail.
Edit: I forgot to mention the gh3 engine was far better than gh2, which adds to the difficulty of jordan.

loved this game, it had the best tracklist ever for a rhythm game. I remember the best years when me and my friends used to play GHIII before go out in the evening, my best performance was complete this song in hard mode and I was drunk. The drunk status gave me the power to go to the end without fail. So I want to congratulate you on completing it on expert mode. I think it took a lot of training to do it without fail a single note, so sincere congratulations!

I’m a guitar hero player who was born 2 years prior to TTFAF’s initial release. And I just can’t get enough of this song along with the game itself. Now I see that even the days and years have passed by, these two masterpieces of entertainment would go through the fire and the flames and be carried on among variety of generations.

I started playing at the beginning of the quarantine, when I got to the end of the game I was shocked by the difficulty of this song (this on medium lol I'm a joke), and I ran to look for a gameplay, when I saw you play I was impressed and it gave me willingness to train every day to get at least 95% on this song, it seems impossible to do more than 90% on the controller but I will do it and one day I will buy a guitar and play the expert just like you.
