I appreciate the comparison next to common pens and the sharpie. Pictures make the pen look much fatter than a sharpie so it was a helpful addition to the review :)

I have the brass version. Its a btolliant pen fairly heavy. The bolt is jalfway down the pen and the pocket clip is cut into the body. Brilliant kit.
all work and no play makes jack a dull boy. laughed so hard!
I've had this pen for a few months now, and I love it! Except for the fact that one of the pocket clip screws stripped out the aluminum and fell out. Love the look of the clip with the standoffs ; but engineering wise threading steel into aluminum is not great. It's significantly less awesome now.

Cool pen does any of the other bolt action pens you are going to review have the bolt on the side instead of the rear? I work in a factory setting and am always getting hit in the chest by different things while I'm moving around through daily activities.
Yep both the TiBolt and the Maxmadco have the bolt on the side.

whatever that gun was in the beginning (sorry I'm no expert) sounded like what i assume the ascend into heaven would
1-10 how would you rate the refill tip play on this knife? That's gonna be a deal breaker for me, as I'm totally OCD about refill tip play.
I checked again this morning for ya...with 10 being perfect, I'd give mine a 8 or 9. There is a tiny detectable amount of play, but it's not consistent. As far as writing goes, its indiscernible. Great questions!
Excellent thanks for checking for me, I took the plunge and ordered one. I'm coming from a Fisher Astronaut which is an excellent pen but the clip has gotten weak from being clipped onto thick pockets, and it cost too much to lose. The main selling points on this pen are the removable clip so it can be tightened up, the Fisher refill, and the bolt action. I can live with it being a little thick in the hand (less fatigue) and a little short.

ive decided on getting either the boker 50 or the tibolt. Which is better?
Both are good but overall the Boker is the better value, and the tibolt is the better product

is the micarta version the same thickness? and as a first edc pen is this one managable?
It doesn't have a sharp edge therefore it's not very good for breaking a glass or something else, for that matter.
looks like you can put something in the top part of it and fire it out
the bolt have just one big problem ! hes on the wrong position if you wanna use them in your shirt pocket he will crack the material.also the position is very bad if someone punch there or you drop.
