While I am a bit disappointed that we aren't getting a Ghibili Zelda movie, here is what I wanted to see in a live action verion: -History of Hyrule, the Goddess Hylia, Demon King Demise and the Triforce - Ganondorf as the main baddy with some more in depth into his character - Link x Princess Zelda's relationship. - Cast anyone that isn’t Tom Holland for Link. - Link’s inner struggle between being a Hero of Hyrule and his own happiness. - An original story ( not a copy of OoT, BOTW or TOTK) that is well structured with it's own set of characters, a new version of Hyrule, and a epic action- fantasy with a dash of gritty realism that is build by confident writers.
Man Nintendo did a Zelda anime in Link’s Awakening and it was so amazing!! They should’ve done a series, it fits it more better I feel. I also think they should follow the manga’s story since Link speaks there.
I hope Link x Zelda's relationship is well established as done in both Skyward Sword, Spirit Tracks and BOTW/TOTK. This beloved pair means alot to the fans as it does to me. Their bond is much more than just your simple Knight and Princess dynamic. And it should not be professional like how Twilight Princess has done.
I agree with you While I am disappointed that a Zelda film by Studio Ghibli isn't happening either, I still have hopes for a potential live-action adaptation. The rich lore of the Zelda universe provides ample material for a compelling original film story. An in-depth exploration of the mythology behind Hyrule and its divine origins could serve as gripping exposition. According to the Hyrule Historia, the kingdom was established by the Goddess Hylia, who chose the first Zelda as a mortal reincarnation (Nintendo, 2011). This divine connection gives weight to Princess Zelda's role. The mystical Triforce could act as a powerful plot device, as warring forces seek its mythic power. Ganondorf has the potential to be one of fantasy cinema's greatest villains. Despite being the primary antagonist across multiple games, his backstory and motivations are vague. Giving depth to his character could make him sympathetic even as he commits evil acts. An original take might focus on his origins with the Gerudo tribe, explaining his hatred of Hyrule. The emotional core of a Zelda film would be the relationship between Link and Zelda. Though their bond is depicted in different ways across games, it resonates with players. This legendary duo should begin as reluctant partners who grow to trust one another through shared hardship. Romance is unnecessary; meaningful friendship against all odds is far more impactful. Casting an unknown as Link would let the character's quiet heroism take center stage. As the player's avatar, Link is often designed to be a blank slate. The actor's charisma shouldn't override that. According to rumors, Holland was considered, but his star power would be distracting (ComicBook.com, 2020). A fresh face would allow Link to shine. While Link's courage is unquestionable, the toll destiny takes on him is prime drama. In Skyward Sword, he grapples with the goddess's calling, torn between duty and personal freedom (Nintendo, 2011). Portraying his sacrifice and finding purpose despite tragedy would add nuance. Any Zelda adaptation should craft an original narrative not retreading previous games. The writers must demonstrate deep understanding of the lore while exercising creative liberty. New environments, characters, and quests could thrill viewers, evoking the sense of adventure that defines the series.
@@bk18-31 First off, Link and Zelda's relationship needs to be more than just friendship or put in trust in one another. If not for Zelda's romantic love for Link, what else could she do to awaken her powers? Their relationship should not be pushy and both have the shared trauma, the build up towards romance is needed. After all, Link and Zelda are the reincarnations of Hylia and her chosen her. i like how you add of the part of " torn between duty and personal freedom" so this could be the core part of Link's character while having care of others like his own family at the same time. And Lastly. we defiantly need writers must demonstrate deep understanding of the lore while exercising creative liberty. Nintendo should take note on this comment of yours.
@@a.jthomas6132 Yeah your right actually after I gave it some thought, Their relationship should not be pushy and both have shared trauma, so the build up towards romance is needed. And like you said they are the reincarnations of Hylia and her chosen hero so it would only be natural. Thank you for liking that, and yeah the writers should demonstrate a deep understanding of the lore while exercising creative liberty. Nintendo should allow for more romantic development between Link and Zelda. Their bond has developed over multiple lifetimes, so it is natural for their affection to grow. While staying faithful to the characters, the story can explore new directions. Link faces the tension between duty and personal freedom, so his care for Zelda could lead to internal conflict. Ultimately, the lore provides a strong foundation, but the writers should have space to advance the relationship.
They should've just made an anime adapting the Twilight Princess manga if we're being honest, similar to Castlevania and Cyberpunk. If for Western movie studios, they had a few good options. Cartoon Saloon who made Wolfwalkers and Laika who made Kubo and the Two Strings had the perfect aesthetics for a Zelda film.
Anime doesn’t have a wide appeal. They’re niche. Sony isn’t going to put a budget on something like that. Live action is acceptable to most and has the widest appeal. We want a sequel. This gives it the best chance from a business perspective
It not being animated will be a little weird. I hope it’s like the Mario movie though, like how everyone thought it was gonna be bad but it’s really good.
The thing is, it was way easier to produce a good Mario movie than a live action Zelda movie that can keep up with the quality and feeling of the games...
Yes and Maybe. The point of Link not talking the games is so we can embody him as we play. We can't play a movie. Also Links spoke in other media like the manga and cartoon.
They better give Ganon a good backstory and everything and I'd like to see him brutally die!! XD Hope they somehow add Midna in the movie. Maybe in the post credits or something. Twilight Princess is underrated. I think due to it's dark nature it'd be rater TV-14 BUT overall I think we might get a "new" Link with a new story and easter eggs??
I don't agree that the Zelda movie should be an anime, recently (and even for a while now), action anime animation has been choppy and visibly cheap because of the less-than-shoestring budget they operate on.
I was hoping it be photo-realstic animated. I just hope its along the lines of Twilight Princess's aesthetic and tone. I'm sick of the cartoony, shell shaded, mainstream style the franchise has been heading towards with BOTW and TOTK. And I don't want to the skinny Gen Z femboy Link we've been getting lately. Its time for the heroic, iconic, imposing and masculine Link from TP to come back. And yes, Link is gonna have to talk.

and have link speak
Also cast Oscar Isaac as ganondorf

Nintendo should’ve just given Zelda to Mappa to animate 😔
Can’t wait for them to cast Shaquille O’Neil as Ganondorf
My biggest pipe dream is they abandon ship and start an anime instead T^T
2:40 Having Link only say hyah irl would be… quite interesting

It be great in keeping in game plot and would save some shooting time like less bloopers I guess but I feel like it would be too awkward lol

How do you guys feel Link will be handled? Will he be a focal point or pop in for combat scenes then run away? 😂 Just like one punch man
Link's going to need to learn sign language Or there's going to be subtitles
Given the state of every movie studio/streaming service ever, I am VERY against this. Leave LoZ alone please!!! 😤🙏🏻

Idk why they didn't make it animated 😭
live action movies have been notoriously bad recently 😭😭😭
Please hope they do not make Link talk...it is difficult but I mean talking a Link will ruin the whole franchise to be honest...
👁️👁️
This movie is gonna be ass I just feel it in my bones
😂
