One of the things I like when I have vasals/personal unions is to give them each 5 provinces in each region to create maximal amount of colonial nations
Damn, never thought of that
God damn, i need to try this
If you give them 10 provinces, you'll gain more benefits.
ILY GOLEM KEEP MAKING VIDS SOON U'LL FIND GLORY YOU ALWAYS SEEK
Thx man! Appreciate that
I love Castile played for the Golden Fleet :D My record is 4k in one golden fleet transport every 3 months.
Polish king is here! Big fan of ur vids. Yeah, gold-maxxing as Castile is super fun
I do this in "co-op" multiplayer with friends where I try to bankroll all of their ridiculous wars. And by "co-op" I mean we spawn Jan Mayen and the Synthetics and try to take them down.
I just watched your series during the weekend and convinced myself to expand on the concept you developped there. Indeed, Castille can release Leon and Asturias which both have Exploration as historical first pick (so they'll have it unlocked if you release them after you unlock your own ideas) and a colonist in their NIs. If you delay the mana points privilege a little bit to also unlock the Council of the Indies missions, you'll get the additional 2 diplo slots to allow you to have Portugal, Aragon, Asturias and Leon to create colonies for you.
Then the second improvement would be to create one colony in a given region (for example Santo Domingo in the Caribbean) so that you get the Papal ownership of it. Then you free that CN, and attack it to feed to one of your Iberian bros. In the meantime, you set up another CN in the Caribeean, let's say Cuba. Rince and Repeat in every colonial region.
@@MiniaAr Yes, you can always do something better :D In the video I presented the idea for the game. If you really want to use the potential to the fullest, you can also let your vassals out of Morocco.
Lookas!
honestly one of the most skilled eu4 youtubers

YEAAAAH ANOTHER SPONSOR FOR MY BOY GOLEM!
was searching if you’d done a castile run recently and was upset
you hadn’t, but now here it is !
all your vids are fun to watch, but the colonial ones are a special kind. my favorite. i really enjoyed the netherlands one and this one as well
I was searching for a castile run in ur channel and I was like ‘dude how the hell he hasn’t released a Castile video so far ‘ and today here it is 🤣🤣
The secret camera that i installed in your room shown m..- i mean, yes, here it is!
The sole EU4 youtuber I watch to the end rn, good job for keeping my attention. Would you mind playing one of future campaigns with Dev Points' mod?
DON'T FORGET ABOUT COLONIZING THE EL DORADO
currently playing Ansbach -> Franconia -> Germany. Got France as my Junior Partner, and they even had exploration ideas! but... all they had was a few trade companies along the coast of africa, literally no colonies. So I did the giga chad move and No CBed Inca, lol. Good old German Peru
Nice work. Can't wait for the next part.
Awesome video. Yes, second part, please! 😊
This is my favourite channel ❤️
Portugal is now hard-coded to take Exploration-Expansion, even if they are in a PU.
Damn, seeing HOMM3 gameplay in that add gave me the most insane nostalgia rush 🤩🤩🤩
So, just a quick note; Colonial Regions are not the same thing as regular regions. I happen to know this because I'm playing a colonial Portugal run, and Texas is part of Mexico. This looks great, good luck with this campaign!
Your vids are incredible, best thing to watch while playing eu4
Saluzzo to sar-piedmont to italy. Could be fun.
I did that with espionage-offensive ideas, was super easy and fun. And I was able to unite most of italy diplomatically
Excited for this video i love this channel
Florida being named Mexico got me lmao
im doing quite a fun playthru right now.. if you want to give it a go (assuming you havent already)
Its this: I made a custom nation... you could use a normal nation, but im not good at the game so i used an 800 point custom nation
- the concept is this: one of your national ideas is cannot declare war.. you can put it anywhere you like.. at the start mid or end
or you could just play a normal nation and never declare war... i dont know if this works on normal mode which is what i normally play
technically speaking i dont remember any nation having ever declared war on me on normal mode unless its a coalition.. ive only been
declared on in ironm,an mode and very hard mode... so, you put it on either iron man or very hard or both.. i dont like ironman cos i like
to save scum when necessary. i made a custom nation with lots of fort defence, attrition to enemies, mercenary improvements, like
more discipline, less cost for buying mercs, less cost for mercenary upkeep etc.. then i went first two ideas, defensive and mercenary
cos i removed the cant pick two of the same type in a row in the options.. then i went infrastructure.. anyway.. i started in tibet region,
and conquered most of the tibet region & formed tibet and took out all the small nations etc so i had a slightly bigger than current tibet area
and built tons of forts, taking everything i can to lower fort cost etc (i have positive income with tons of forts active) - now heres the strategy
when you get to tech 10, youre no longer allowed to declare war (or earlier if you wish).. and what you do is you get rid of all your armies
and wait for someone to declare war on you.. its kinda fun seeing where you expand, by allowing the ai to decide for you.. you can keep some
armies if you want it all depends on the strength of the people bordering you and who you want to declare war on you.. for example, i had
a 6 province afghanistan declare war on me with 11k troops and i had 0, but i had like 30 provinces myself.. the ai thinks you are weak
cos you have no army.. but you have a great economy cos ur not paying for armies all the time.. i just spawn a 20k stack of mercs and
win the war.. the problem ive had is it takes longer to get war score cos u cant split ur armies to take single provinces, and mercs often
dont have cannon, so its harder to siege down forts, and they often have worse generals.. i used my mercs to finish off any rebels after the war
and then disband and wait for the next person to declare on you.. and if ur having too many declare on you, you just keep the mercs active
for longer to give you time to prepare.. its a fun way to play the game.. the other problem ive had is i actually get a lot of ae.. i was expecting
id get less ae from taking land in a defensive war? i feel like the devs should fix this.. if you are invaded you should take less ae.. i actually
got coalitioned and a huge war but won with a ton of mercs... thats another thing that annoys me.. they declare on me, but i can only peace
out the main guy? so i wasted tons of money and time doing a war and they lose hardly anything.. i dont get coalitioned much normally cos
i always make sure i have tons of allies & vassals and a large army.. so i rarely fight coalition wars so id forgotten that you cant peace them
out individually.. id done a long war where id taken literally every province. anyway would be cool to see someone try this way to play the game
Golem eu4 always makes my day 🙏
As an spanish Golem saying Vamos Señor killed me😂😂😂
Thanks for the video
I live in Switzerland, and I just want to use this comment to say that EU4 adding the alphorn soundtrack was amazing😍
WAMOS SENIOR!
Ottomans conquering south Italy is historic, but it was not this big by any means. It was just a one city
Viva Espana !!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Ouch, if you upgraded the monument in Madrid to tier one first, then waited until you got the Madrid solo corto event, you would’ve gotten the monument in Madrid upgraded to tier three automatically when you did the a new capital mission.
Hello, first of all great guide! Im playing EU IV 1.37.5 and many things are different in my game, are you playing with DLCs? For example my mission tree is different with less missions and I have no option to select naval doctrine
Hey! Thanks.
I use all DLCs in all of my videos through the monthly subscription on Steam. The specific DLC that brings Spain more missions is Domination if you're looking to get it separately
@@GolemEnt Thanks!! I was looking into it and just saw most of the differences come from Leviathan, and the missions from Domination. Sounds good, I´ll give it a try
keep going!
Is it ever worth it to move the main trade node from sevilla to mallorca once you fomed spain?
DUDE ILY U AND UR VIDEOS PLS NEXT EPISODE
The best way to play castile is to conquer England and form angevin gingom to get pu on France and also Spanish mission tree this way you can pu every coloniser in Europe and have both the new world, Pacific and indomnesia to yourself.
I don't disagree with you, definitely makes for a powerful campaign, but I personally enjoy reforming into multiple tags just once in a blue moon xD if you wanna make everything ridiculously op, you can always reform into Kongo, Bavaria, Sardinia Piedmont, etc. etc. but it gets tiring so fast imo
Two videos in two days, am i dreaming?
personally i would never form spain as castile bc its an end game tag with meh ideas. id just annex aragon with a diplomat and form france or smth
GET THIS TO 2K LIKES RN
Hooking more noob into 2 civil war and the great Enrique i see 😂
why not take money from portugal in the war and give it back to them instantly after to decrease liberty desire/improve relations?
In what universe is the Malaga fort "not good"??
I must've expressed myself wrong. It's a good fort, but not useful in this game since we're mainly colonizing and nobody's gonna invade from the south
Part 2 when?
You can actually use the infantes disaster to get rid of your starting trash ruler if you let some pretenders from events enforce, you get stabbed up to 0 and can usually get a good ruler
But then u don't get isabella of castile event for aragon pu
@@BEEETRUS you do
Navarra as a PU is actually really good. You can feed it French territories, let it get a French cultural union, get its own merchants, take cash from it selectively so that it isn't crippled, etc. I kind of want to do the challenge where I have one PU per culture group in Europe.
