Ethiopia Has The Most Fun Start in EU4 1.37 | Prester John & A Blessed Nation Achievements
Вставка

- In this Europa Universalis [EU4] video, we play as Ethiopia in an attempt to get the A Blessed Nation and Prester John achievements. We quickly annex our neighbors and use the Ottomans to invade the Mamluks. After a time we become the number one great power and are able to easily beat the Ottomans and complete the achievements. The start for Ethiopia was super fun. It's constant wars and insane mana generation thanks to the amazing starting ruler.

These two are rather fun achievements! I got them when the Origins patch game out. Ethiopia is my favorite African nation to play
I haven't done an Ethiopia run before but these videos make each nation look really fun! Keep up the good work!
Ethiopia is my favorite! Don't need quantity since the cawa infantry (buy 2, combine) instant 1,000 infantry unit.
they're kinda like the old mercenaries in their use case but arguably much better.
While you do get more value from the core cost reduction if you take it first, the missionary strength is arguably better to get first (you inevitably need to convert people to Coptic, and the holy sights are only able to give bonuses if the province is Coptic)
Honestly with the estate privileges conversion strength, I think waiting until the second blessing provides more value. I had 0 problems with conversion and it was super quick. But both blessings are super strong and the first 2 blessings are easy enough to get. So either is fine.
@@icepyre true that the estate privileges give more missionary strength. but they can stack. also those privileges create more unrest in land that hasn't been converted or aren't an accepted culture, though regardless you shouldn't have much of an admin problem given the starting ruler so I'd still find the missionary strength more worth being the first choice (though i can understand why your path works as well)
2:50 for this Jewish achievement, you can combine it with Hanukkah Mutapa. Because for Hanukkah Mutapa you should be Jewish.
Good to know 😊
@@icepyre i’m late but i did that achievement as the mamluks by rushing the jewish provinces and letting rebels convert me. this was a few patches ago though idk if anything changed but i did it in less than 20 years
Missed out on forming Aksum, man.
Ethiopis is great for rushing for an early empire. Thanks for the video.
42:41 quite literally god's favorite princess
btw you actually couldn't have formed Mameluks anyway, because ethiopia is considered an end game tag
Huh. I wouldn't have thought that but sure enough.
You can decrease autonomy in the macrobuilder, much more efficient than a mapmode.
Good video.
The Holy Sites Achievement can be easily done by utilizing Armenia as well. The achievement doesnt require direct control, just coptic ownership and faith in order to unlock the bonus. If Armenia pops up of her own even better.
Flying through these bro gg
The only difficult part is if you can get Cairo before the Otto bros and generally expand fast so you can compete with them. At least at very hard.
Forming Rome as Ethiopia is fun (and cursed) af
You actually didn’t need to take the Jewish stab hit. They contribute to religious unity so it was a waste.
Any follow up to do mamluk achievement whit this save ???
I'd have to convert to Muslim. And I'm not feeling like it haha.
I’d love to see Academical Athens and Its all Greek to me. I’ve been trying it myself and expanding as Athens is no fun.
Maybe next. I'm in the starting stages of Victorian Three. It's taking everything I have not to reform horde and tag switch into some World Conquest monster. As if playing until tech 32 wasn't pain enough.
You chose wrong on the Jewish event. Supposed to keep the stab. They don’t count for religious unity so you can still finish the missions.
I’ve been telling my friends this. Ethiopia is kinda crazy if you’re good (I’m not)
2:02 GYATT??
Now play Adal 👍
I'm so Anbennar-pilled my first thought is that Coptic feels similar to Dwarven religion XD
I've yet to play Anbennar. Might have to drop Quarbit a DM and have him teach me the way.
@@icepyre Much like base EU4 itself, the best way to learn is to just try whatever and fail over and over again until it clicks
Quarbit isn't good at anbennar unfortunately
