@@nikolaitregouet you're telling me he has a video talking about this strat?:D I know his channel, he's great at what he does. But i don't watch much EU4 content these days. I watch Vic 3 from time to time if i have time away from work and my own channel.
Starting as Timurids would make run a lot easier and slightly better (persia path has -20% dev in primary culture ) , and since you are muslim you can also form mamluks for -5 % dev cost gov reform and -10% dev cost local organization .
You finished before you got to the best part of the Persian bottom mission tree. You have a mission there that increases silk trade value to 10 ducats per, which makes your income around 700 ducats for 40 years, and if you have been developing them for this cheap its gonna get even better. It's one of the most satisfying buttons to click.
was constantly behind the british for global trade, then popped the construction cost and most economy missions at the bottom of the tree, built manufactories everywhere, suddenly i had almost double their trade node value
Vassalizing Byzantium, absolute classic. Right up there with marrying Burgundy as literally ever nation in Europe. Though an underrated one for me is no cb vassalizing Timurids if they end up reduced to a few provinces. I've done this at least 3 times. In my current game as Mewar/Rajputana/Bharat I've had a vassal Timurids bigger than me on the map for a hundred years; no one supported their independence because I kept beating them in wars if they did and only just got their liberty desire low enough to start integrating (3700 diplo points lmao).
is it just me or to the Persians have very aesthetically pleasing ideas. The brown green and yellow coloring of their national ideas paired with their flag looks awesome
Hi Golem, this is the first time I've become a member of a UA-cam channel, I think it's a must for the content you make and the quality of the latter. Greetings from Naples, Italy
10:51 you need to manually press the close button on the army when you suppress rebel because for some reason using esc cancel the order 🙃, other than that bs suppress rebel is quite good it gave the army unrest modifer that give out max -5 unrest to all the province that the army ordered to suppress and automatically move the army to kill rebel and come back to their originally stationed province
it was either that or the "army is scared" thingy, wish it was possible to just disable that, so you could place mercenaries and don't give a if they die or not :D
tbf this is pretty insane just georgia -> persia, but it seems starting as norway massively helps out with allies and getting it up sooner, alongside the extra bonus dev cost. fun campain concept. very cursed, though with the russia PU its not that hard to make it a continuous land empire..
Orthodox Lithuanian-Polish Commonwealth with Cossack estates can play both tall & wide. Missions & ideas give cost reductions to development. Cossack estates privileges can negate the development penalties to steppe provinces. Orthodox icons can give development cost reductions. Ideas give bonuses to production.
In my unspeakable amount of hours in eu4, I would say this is one of the most blessed runs I've ever seen. Norway, no CB Byzantium into Georgia/Persia. Amazing 🎉
Welcome to a Blursed% speedrun of EU4, starring the newly anointed record holder Golem. Normally that anointment would cost 50 whole paypal bucks, but as you can see we stacked a few bonuses for a 69% discount... nice.
I love mountains and forts and development, so you can imagine I just love love love this run ! You could have also formed Persia with the Mazandarani culture instead of Azeri, as it would have given you access to some bonus missions and a unique tier7 government reform (not that it's super useful though)
Without even going for a playing tall build, I got Iran to the point where mountain provinces cost like 4 points to dev even when at like, 10-15 development, literally such a powerful country in EU4
i recently played a custom nation 800 points with tons of fort defence attrition for enemies and dev reduction and mercenary ideas i conquered all tibet & nepal region quick until tech 10.. where i had a cannot declare wars idea as my last.. then what i did is keep getting rid of my pure mercenary army.. formed tibet... was on very hard mode so people are more likely to declare war on me, took everything i could to improve defence.. got up to +140% fort defence at some point.. and then i just waited til people declared war on me and spawned in mercenaries immediately.. i had such a good economy that i could have a fort in every single province although most werent necessary... you could just do 2 thick on all borders.... youd be amazed at how dumb the ai is.. when u have 0 army, they declare war on you, even when u previously beat them.. ming non stop declared on me and i took all of china.. but even small nations declare war on you like 6 province afghanistan.. the ai thinks ur weak.. they dont care you have 10 times more development, 400k manpower and tons of money.. in peace deals take as much money as possible and then provinces.. you never need to declare war
This is a crazy strategy, man! How did you come up with this?! Loved it. There can't be many EU4 players who've had Catholic religious rebels rising up against the flip to Zoroastrianism in Iranian Scandinavia.
ive complained about rebels for years in eu4.. i think they need to make a button that moves the map to where they will spawn... and highlight the whole province in pink, not just a thin pink line.. this is cos when u have a big empire its super tiring and frustrating to try and find where rebels will spawn.. but also.. when setting rebels suppression armies, they should move close to where rebels are about to spawn and wait for it to happen... they should also immediately go to the next rebels instead of walking all the way back to their original position.. and.. if something stops an army being able to go the route you told it to go, it should change its route automatically so it can get there.. and if it cant and stops, a pop up should come up so you know your army stopped moving.. these are all things that would make the life of the player less annoying and less tiring
I think there's no need to continue this one, but perhaps I'll make upgrades to this strat and do a new one in the future with hopefully even better results!
0:30 guessing one of those formables is INCA... is there no way to later combine your norway/georgia/persia strat with inca also? they get dev cost reduction as an idea and high altitude adaption or would it cancel out the other previous things you got from those three nations?
So the thing is that Persia is an end game tag. Only way would be to form Inca before Persia, but then you'll probably miss out on the Persian reformation age ability with 20% dev cost. Maybe this could work if you go for Norway straight to Inca and only then to Georgia to Persia, i'm not sure. In any way sounds like a big delay, idk if it's worth it
@@GolemEnt btw theres an option that says u can turn off whether u can form more than one end game tag.. but then it wouldnt work on ironman mode, but i never use that mode anyway cos i like to save often
@@GolemEnt so have you tried seeing if you can go norway georgia inca or inca norway, georgia persia or georgia norway inca? i feel like last time i played inca it had some pretty good dev cost reduction stuff for mountains.. the nation is pretty much set up to do well in mountains.. but maybe its not worth the effort?
Honestly I have started playing more and more lately with fort buffing to stop the ai from running away from U and carpet bombing U . Kinda funny when they just avoid Ur land because of how bad it is for them and once U take a fort of them they are never getting it back
I feel like you just skipped to the end of the video, because I never mentioned any OP nations and playing Persia was just a fraction of the campaign :/
What if you played tall while playing tall instead? Just have random mountain provinces peppered around the continent, focus on development and maybe go with mercs to have the possibility of defending without needing military access through 50 nations to go from your easternmost point to your westernmost one Welp, time to play Feiten again I guess
