Your Merch is the best Quality I have seen. So far the Items I have purchased have not shrunk in size at all. Hoodies are the perfect thickness. Craig you need to Add a "Grill Daddy" Apron if possible. Great Video!!!
I'd check/ reseal the corner molding outside, where the metal siding joins. They leak a lot. There's special kit you can get that corrects the problem.
I would think starting with seams...on the outside...at the top... working out/ downward, would be the smartest plan of attack when it comes to correcting leaks. 🤷🏻♂️ Like renovating a neglected house...get a good roof, walls, & windows. THEN work on the inside.
RV looking better by the vlog, maybe get one of them handheld water leak detectors from Harbor Freight. in hindsight i would maybe check for and fix water leaks first on the next project. An amazing job regardless, i don't have the patience to do all that tbh LOL.
You guys need to know. I was with Giant RV in Southern California for about 22 years. Worked service and warranty during that time. 1) What The Factory instructions were for maintenance. The Exterior is to be Inspected and spot sealed every quarter. THAT'S EVERY 90 DAYS! The Exterior is to be Stripped and COMPLETELY RESEALED ANNUALLY. Your carrying that house around on truck! Think about it. Ray and Marcie
I just ordered a Flo-Blue shirt! 😊 Glad not too many leaks!! This is why when you do a building or house you rush to Roof it then Close It In, before doing Interior…😅
I love the care you are putting in, to do it right! I am very excited for the final results. I hope you are keeping track of money spent on renovation. I’m interested to know just how much it will cost. It is going to look great! I just know it. My husband and I are retired and love to travel in our fifth wheel. We always look forward to your videos.
The previous repair with the huge hole on the rear left corner has got to be leaking big time. I have found leaks where you would swear it was not leaking. Once I used the brightest light I could find, put it inside where it was coming in. In the darkness of night I noticed a slight glow on the outside. Sure enough, caulked a 1/2" inch area and it stopped the leak. Have fun with this😊
The Class C is looking great! Can’t wait to see where you take it when it’s done. That was a busy week for y’all! We had a great time at the meet up, and really enjoyed meeting you both and all the others! Had a great week afterwards at High Falls too. Gotta admit Jed and I were a little tickled when we saw ourselves on TV just now 😂
Really enjoying the renovation videos. My wife and I just got back a couple of weeks ago from a 6 week tour of the Southwest in our Momentum 25G Toy Hauler trailer, went to 8 National Parks. 5,333 mile trip. Beautiful! Anyway, had to binge watch your channel to catch up after being away. 😀 Your merch looks pretty good too! Just ordered shirts for me and my wife. Hope to run into you on the road sometime. Keep up the good work. Don in Florida
In hindsight, maybe a plastic tarp covering the roof while you were away would have been a good idea. ???? Oops! But it looks like it is coming right along. Good job!
We've done full time RV life for about 6 years and it's been quite the adventure! We're currently on a 48 states in 48 weeks journey which we just started in Oregon. Your videos are great!
Your meet up looked so fun! We plan to go FT mid year 2025. Maybe one day we can attend a meet up- we’d love to meet you guys! We so enjoy your channel. You two are so fun and down to earth! Excited for your merch! Good luck!
I've found what works best for sealing windows and doors on RV is the stuff used to install windshield and rear glass in cars and trucks. If you ever have to cut one of those out you understand why it works.
The way we did our leak testing we would start the engine turn the heater on full fan. Make sure all doors and windows were closed. Build pressure up inside the unit then take a soap, water bottle and spray outside and look for bubbles. Kind of like checking a tire for leaks. It’s looking better every day :-)
I' m excited to finally see merch! Hoping to get me a tee , hoodie and one of them beenies! Love that you are sealing up your windows and lights. That rain was much needed, as it provided clues to what was sealed and what needed attention. Can't wait to see the next video 😊
FINALLY!!! The merch is in!!! That was me who asked you about the shirts during the video call when you all were in Alaska. Can’t wait to get ours and sport it. Wish we had the chance to partake in the meetup, but we were busy busy busy traveling. Looks like you all had a great time. Hope to see you all out on the road soon. We are preparing to sell our home now and see what the future holds for us. What we will say, is we WILL NOT be buying a used $5500 Class C motor home to live in. Haha… enjoying his series.
I bought a waterproof sealant from Home Depo and had to redo the whole thing, these sealants are not meant for RV. Our huge RV sho has been in business for 40 years told me to use Pro Flex RV Flexible Sealant GC28100 - clear by Gepcel. I ordered some from Amazon. TIPS: make sure the area is very clean. If the old sealant is difficult to remove use WD40. Use mineral spirits on the area with a clean cloth then use a clean cloth and go over the area to make sure no residue. Using the caulking tube, cut a VERY small slant cut on the caulking tip. Make a small bead across or down (don’t go to the end). Put mineral spirits on a clean index finger and go over the silicone bead and pull down or across. Can’t wait for the next episode
You will definitely want to take off all of the marker lights and turn signals etc and put some butyl tape behind them and seal as much as you can. A small water leak will travel down the wire and come out feet from where the leak is ,making it harder to find. My 2016 cougar 5th wheel had a leak from the aluminum plate that attaches the cap to the roof seam, water was puddling up in the trough and leaking through the screws. The only way I found the leak was when water started pouring out of the electrical socket next to my bed night stand. Self leveling lap sealant pumped into the trough to fill up that area was the only way to fix the leak. I actually ended up fixing it in a rain storm because the bucket I had would only last 8 hours and I was working 12 hour shifts. Dicor Lap sealant is expensive but amazing stuff!
Great video!!! Dealing all those leaks is the most important thing in your whole reno. Once that's done, the fun begins! Looks like your meet up was a huge success! Maybe someday we'll be in the right place at the right time. Merry Christmas!
Craig start at the roof one thing i have learned from used RV's all leaks start at the roof. The roof is designed to channel the water away to the corners so the roof is a giant funnel to every corner. Along the wall where it meets the roof there is a channel (gutter) that runs from front to back pull make sure that it sealed up and even pull the screws and put sealant on them. The roofing material should overlap the wall under the gutter strip that's what seals the 2 together. Water run downhill inside the wall until it hits something horizontal windows, lights, floor etc. it will funnel around the window and rot the frame and everyone thinks it is the window but it is the roof. on the end of the gutters put gutter extensions on so its keep the water from running down the side of the RV. pull all the lights seal around them and seall the screws before screwing them in.
Penny and I (Bob) really enjoyed meeting you guys at the High Falls meet up. We camped for the weekend. I wish that the dogs would have been with you but I totally understand what you said(Victoria) about his wildness. Again if you need help of any kind with the Class C I'm not that far away. God Bless.
What a nice meet up and great day! Happy there were not to many leaks in the RV. Really nice sweatshirts you were wearing, congrats on the new ítems ☺️👏👏👍
Your Merch might be the first one I ever buy. I love rving and it’s my dream to live the rv life with my husband of course. 😊 Thank you for your fun and educational videos.
Craig, there was a news seqment yesterday on a Dodge recall for brakes. I know you’ve had your for a while but it may be something to check into.. just passing along.. be safe
Hello we ordered 2 shirts. We love your happy joyful outlook on life. Thank you for sharing. You guys are our favorite you tubers. God bless you both. Love the Whittons Jeannie, Jim and Rusty (our dog)
Check your DOT lights front and back (Amber and Red). If necessary, reseal them with silicon caulk. The leaks we had during a very bad storm occurred when the front amber marker lights leaked and flooded the crow's nest on our 22' Minnie Winnie!
Best to start on the roof… grab a tube of butyl and reseal everything that you can! Next seal all broken lights and especially those clearance lights! I once chased a leak for weeks until I changed out the clearance lights and then viola…leak fixed! The water was traveling down the wire and leaking between panels where I couldn’t see…. That’s how dun it
Get a moister meter! Be sure to get the one with the two prongs. don't get the sensor because the tin wall will interfere with the readings. I know I've been there and done that lol Amazon around $ 20 to $30
I think what I would do is make sure the roof seams are sealed, then the end cap, then the corners last. Water always flows (seaps) down, so try to seal from the top down. I did mine last summer...not fun!
The front window get more abuse because its being hit by the wind going down the road so its more of an automotive glass and should be sealed like a windshield in your truck with the same kind of sealant under the glass.
Mabe purchase a little moisture meter hand gun thingy and go around the inside , also leave some windows open a little bit and a fan running all the the to air it out incase it is condensation moisture 🤔
Hey y’all that was me wanting the hoodie and hat , have to say impressed with the outcome 👍 my problem is it’s lay-off season so I’m forced to put my order on hold at this time. Great episode as always 👍🇺🇸❤️🙏🏻
I would have coated the roof with that Henry Tropi Cool # 887 this stuff is better coating then most of them its rated pretty high then work your way down like caulking the windows after the roof , just like a house start at the top !!
I really enjoy your videos, but your putting the cart before the horse. Fix the leaks first. I understand leaks can be difficult to see exactly where they are coming from. Good luck really enjoy you both.
I hope you did see that first one sorry about that I had to delete it real quick on the front of that camper if you check all the seams where it's all come together and screws you might have to tear all that caulk out of there and re-caulk that area that would be your best bet from where the roof touches the front of that all the way down I would just tear it across the top and reseal the whole thing up there not the whole roof just on the front seam it's looking pretty good though
WOW this is a first for me I've never heard you 2 speak a zint of the word of our Lord and Savior don't be shy, And when you make a hoody or T-shirt with the imprint of Philippines 4:13 I can do all things though chist, who strengthens me, in the back with you Logo in front the I will buy with pleasure God bless.
Hoodies are great. Just got a bunch made for my trucking business. My customers and realatives love them. T shirts and hats id like to know how they do for you.
Y’all are doing amazing job on the RV. I read some of the comments from others and agree with one thing a water leak detector from Harbor Freight will help you. Also the roof seal it next and then recheck for leaks. Water is an amazing thing just like in your house, the leak could be coming from another spot and running down coming out somewhere else. In our old RV we had a leak in the front on the cap top and it was leaking into our bathroom and by the time we found it the floor under the shower was gone. That’s when we got a new Fifth Wheel. Now ever months we check all the roof for cracks or any damage. Thank y’all and stay safe and happy travels
Hey guys! What age were the pups when you moved into a camper full time? My Fiancée and are going to be making this journey as well, and we are considering a puppy, but we don't know if it's fair to the puppy. By the way, we love the videos! Thank you for all your work!
😃I have a question that I'm sure my good buddy Craig can answer. I notice you are having many problems with leaking, and a friend of mine said he bought a used R.V. with no leaks because it is made from fiberglass. He said because of that, it won't leak. Is this true?😃
Your Merch is the best Quality I have seen. So far the Items I have purchased have not shrunk in size at all. Hoodies are the perfect thickness. Craig you need to Add a "Grill Daddy" Apron if possible. Great Video!!!

Scraper blade on multi-tool oscillator. Quick work of sealant removal!
I just ordered a Flo-Blue shirt! 😊
Glad not too many leaks!! This is why when you do a building or house you rush to Roof it then Close It In, before doing Interior…😅

All that hard work can’t wait to see the finished product!!
Reno is looking good guys. Bit by bit you will get it mastered. It’s all looking good!! 👍👍❤️❤️🎄🎄🇨🇦

Good idea ! Also heard of snaking a camera scope in cavity/ cabinet/ wall to see where the light of day can be seen
@krisg3984 I needed the contrast of doing it at night. My camera scope light is pretty wimpy and it is hard to see anything.
It’s never stress free coming through Atlanta!!!!
Back to the "SPONGE"
An RV nightmare starts with leaks. I know you will conquer. Merch safe👍👍👍
That's a good name for the rv.
The Class C is looking great! Can’t wait to see where you take it when it’s done. That was a busy week for y’all! We had a great time at the meet up, and really enjoyed meeting you both and all the others! Had a great week afterwards at High Falls too. I added 3M self adhesive rubber gutter around my windows to channel the rain off the windows on my motor home, worked great

Wow, just wow. We didn't realize you set that up all yourself. Make it easier on yourself next time and make it more intimate. We had a great time!
So happy that we made it to your meet-up.
Great video!!! Dealing all those leaks is the most important thing in your whole reno. Once that's done, the fun begins! Looks like your meet up was a huge success! Maybe someday we'll be in the right place at the right time. Merry Christmas!
OH, and the leak on the left side of the bunk could be the seam on the roof that goes from wall to wall. use self-leveler to seal it.
Craig start at the roof one thing i have learned from used RV's all leaks start at the roof. Just placed my order, hoping for Christmas delivery to Canada!! Great videos guys keep em comin'

What a great turnout for the meetup!
For the floor go grab you a moisture meter from Home Depot. In your situation I’d get the prong type so you can push into areas!!
Always great videos! Glad to see the merch!
Thank you for watching!
Another uplifting video!!! ❤
Thanks so much!! 😄
Purchase a moisture meter at Harbor Freight. Works well to detect water leaks before they get serious.
The front window get more abuse because its being hit by the wind going down the road so its more of an automotive glass and should be sealed like a windshield in your truck with the same kind of sealant under the glass.
Use a moisture meter. It's worth every dime it cost.
Great video. I love my sweatshirt!!!

Merch looks great, I love your logo!
Nice job!
Fall and hurt your "privates" 😂😂😂 You two are too funny with your "insinuatin' "

Georgia is a little far for a meetup. When you’re in the PNW setup a meetup. 😊
The front corner needs the rubber insert to cover the screws. That might be where the leak is
oh yea corner for sure
Buy a cheap 2 prong moisture meter...would help a lot
My niece catered an event at Talona Ridge recently… was that yours? Chili Dog!!!
congrats on the merch ....
:)
My shirt has been oredered!
51st from Indiana after the storm 🫣

We have stayed at High Falls at the lake loop. Not a big rig friendly loop but very enoyable.
We did think it was a great spot for our meetup!

Glad you had a good turnout for your meet up. 🤣
Love the shorter tee shirt you're wearing, Victoria!
What is that style?
just a note there is a postal strike going on in Canada.
Atlanta traffic is the worst
Before wallpaper I would of taken it down to the metal then spray foamed it
Wait...at 2:03 we can see UA-cam on your dash.?? Your Ram allows UA-cam while driving?
We had to have ours….. ummm….fixed at a audio shop
good jjob
There are people watching these, but I'll have to wait till y'all get back at real rv'in.
At least Craig isn’t wearing flip flops while standing on the engine cowling. Almost like he values his life!😅
Corner seams leaking maybe? Definitely not an expert! 🤣
Isn’t there a way to close up the RV and force some kind of fog machine and see where it leaks out?
Hey guys! What age were the pups when you moved into a camper full time? My Fiancée and are going to be making this journey as well, and we are considering a puppy, but we don't know if it's fair to the puppy. By the way, we love the videos! Thank you for all your work!
After you get it waterproof, where does the para scope go?
I want the Black/Black hat shown on the site, but didn't see how to order it
😃I have a question that I'm sure my good buddy Craig can answer. I notice you are having many problems with leaking, and a friend of mine said he bought a used R.V. with no leaks because it is made from fiberglass. He said because of that, it won't leak. Is this true?😃
Maybe you should have started with the leaks
You should contact Matt at bunker branding to print and sell your merch.
We talked to y’all at Talona about ATL traffic. Did y’all end up going around on 285, or going straight through?
I’m just curious why you guys didn’t do the roof and the side walls first before you even tackled the inside
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Ok so where is tulona(?)ridge and why does it sound familiar?
multe tool with putty blades
Until you redo the roof it's going to keep leaking.
Or at least test it.
@davesigz I don't know. They showed us the roof in the beginning and based on what I saw it just needs to be replaced.
With all the rain they had, there were no signs the roof leaked, so I think they're good......
@traci635 ok
Why
did you buy that ❤
Re seal the roof.
Don't for get roof vents
Leaks are evil!
