Happy Adventure Thursday everyone!! So fun to have 2 episodes to share with you this week AND next week! We hope you all are doing well, we love you and we'll see you Sunday 🤗😘 xx, Mr and Mrs A + our 3 kitties too
What a glorious thing!! CLEAN WATER. So many taken for granted, but being able to have water on your land, not only to drink and survive, but to protect your property and grow your crops. I am so happy for you guys. You are such good people and you deserve the best. I am just loving you and loving your adventures and have been watching since you were looking for property.
What a wonderful update. Welcome back Brittney, Drew, you'll have to cut that kink out and reattach the ends using a standard connector fitting. That material once kinked is useless. Get that pump house built and protect your system.
It is mind-blowing to me to think that people would come on your property, your private property and think it's okay. It is too bad that you even have to think about this! That is a game changer. Finally, having water on your property, that is so exciting! Thank you for sharing this part of your life with us, always fun to see the progress.
I’m sure you must have enjoyed your precious time with family. Your Mom and Grandma are just as beautiful as you are ! Healing wishes for poor Drew ! ❤
The cats are having the best times of their lives , I like how they follow you around and are so inquisitive as to what is going on , and so loving towards you both. Oh , and kudos on all the water stuff - a defining moment.
The term used for the shock felt inside the pipes when the valve is suddenly closed is called "water hammer". In some older homes, you can hear the pipes hit the house when valves are closed to quickly. Detrimental to the pipes.
Brittany you look like the magical fairy that you are with your kitties following you. Drew I'm so glad that your arm is all better now. No more falls. ❤. Congrats on the water. 🎉
I am appreciative for as much as Brittany and Drew share about their lives already and would never consider trying to intrude on your personal time or space. I hope people get a grip on themselves and decide to be respectful of your safety and privacy. ❤
Hey Drew, awesome progress! Best to unroll the pipe to prevent the kinks, now you have to cut the kink out and use a union with 2 hose clamps on each side of the union. Also, though your pump may have a certain output, the volume of water in the drilled well (bore hole) will run out fairly quickly (within 2-3 hours) as the refill rate of the drilled well won’t be as fast as the the pump output. You can get someone in to calculate the refill rate, they pump the well out for an hour then set a instrument up on the well cap to measure the height of the water, then wait and hour and measure the height again. Using the volume of a cylinder you can then calculate the refill or recovery rate of the drilled well. The pump output is typically rated with almost zero backpressure, pumping all the way up to those tanks is going to drastically reduce the pump output. As always, I look forward to all your videos.
Two things: I think the rainbow when you arrived home (and I use “home” because it’s so right) was a perfect symbol of your love and commitment…to each other and to your fascinating project. And Brittany…you are one strong and tough broad…I mean lady!!! I love watching you two interact. You’re a great team. PS. I meant lady!
Setting-up a well pump distribution system. Provision for: fire prevention sprinklers, connections for the house and the two large hillside tanks, a garden hose irrigation. In time, construction of a roadside pump house. Another milestone checked.
I've always loved and admired you guys and after watching this video, my feelings have grown even stronger. You honestly feel like family. Drew...So sorry for your injury and I'm glad it seems to be healing well. Without the castle princess there to care for you, I know it was a struggle to care for yourself and the watermill projects. Brittany...my heart saddened when you showed your diaries and talked about your health journey. I'm so happy that you made the turn back to a healthy way of life. 🙏 ❤
The water pump is in! Piece by piece, your dream home is taking shape. We're almost there, right? Hugs! Hope your arm is feeling better, Andrew. Good luck!
Drew, so sorry about your accident and injury to the left arm/elbow. It is healing nicely, what a blessing for your neighbor who did first aid. Don’t be hard on yourself for the time you were down, in looking at everything you have done up till now, it is amazing. When you film with the drone, the place is just beautiful. Also, as others commented here, your command of Portuguese is very impressive, but you are immersed living there and working with people every day, and it is the best way to learn a language. Way to go!! It is so beneficial for both of you, keep up the great work!
It is such a nice feeling when we see water coming out. Congratulations! I had a bad experience when I was swimming at Fort Lauderdale Beach. I didn't know about the waves that can take you in. I was floating and I was 200 meters from the beach in a few seconds. I tried to swim back but I was swimming against the current. I was so tired , so I had to swim to the side.
Oh wow ! What a happy milestone, water to all the property ! That will certainly simplify things ! Hope your arm is healing well Drew, and welcome back Brittany !
You two must be incredibly happy about pumping water finally! Projects are coming along leaps & bounds. Congrats & getting closer! Drew sorry to see you have injured yourself & you did wear a helmet I hope? 💙Britt so glad to know you had quality time with your family! Welcome home Britt you two are so cute just like teenagers in front of camera! 💜🧑🎄🎅🎄
So to see Brittany back - I'm sure she had a very good time with her family, but know she's very thankful to be back at t he Mill. Great job on getting water to the Mill and other places where you need it. So much joy watching your adventures in building your homestead. Take care and til next video, Love mla
Having unlimited water is huge! This is also great to tap into to put out wildfire. Drew, glad to see that you're okay and the accident was not major especially those hills and clips you have to drive. I once had an accident face down riding electric scooter. That was scary.
So many millions, worldwide do not have clean clear safe water to drink - and yet we humans need it as much as we do air. This is so remarkable, and so valuable, for you - muito feliz por voce!
Drew- when you do final install of piping from well point up to those two storage tanks, install a 4inch pvc conduit, then feed the water piping. That way if you ever need to replace there is no digging required. Think also about install a few large pull boxes in that run .
How exciting is getting your water pump installed! Thank you for filming and narrating the whole process. It was very interesting! You have great water pressure! Two of my sisters live off grid and have to use water pumps too. I had one when i lived in Colorado. It was housed in a "well house!" Your pump system is pretty cool! I loved your drone shots of the roof and your mill home! It looks truly magical! Also love your kitties! They are part of the magic! Road rash is no fun. Been there. I've done that! Get better soon, and remember to get that joint moving as soon as you can! You want to retain as much of your range of motion as you can without having to regain it again with painful physical therapy! I love how you both stay connected with family. It is super important! Good thing Brittany is back with Drew! You need each other❣️ My husband has limited mobility because of a stroke. I'm doing everything myself. I have to think about getting things done in stages. I know how to do a lot of things, but at 76, I am not as strong or as tall as I used to be.
So much progress on the Mill House it’s not hard to imagine y’all moving IN! It already is looking like a home ❤ WATER!!! YAY!! It is good to get to visit home and also be back at home at the Mill House. So much to look forward to in the near future with your creations making your dream home come true! 👍💕✌️
Oh Drew your poor arm and hand, hope they continue to heal well, please take it easy. Lovely to have you back Brittany, I follow another channel ‘Jared and Brit’ who live in Fort Lauderdale. So exciting that you have water from your well, a step closer to being in your home, and being fire safe. Thanks for still filming even after Drew’s accident x
I’m 56 and live alone on an eleven acre homestead and have been injured a few times so I completely understand the way you feel. I hurt my back once and could barely get back to the house and spent several days barely able to reposition myself in the bed.
Happy you have water and protection in case of a fire, but I absolutely love your roof the guys did a wonderful job. It’s just beautiful to it from above.
Hiya, great work as always. ❤…I’ve found when unrolling the BIG a coils of pipe, by far the best way is to weigh down the loose end and then unroll( preferably slight downhill) avoids the kinks/ tangles in the pipe. Leave in sunshine to soften up then drag the pump end downhill to the pump. Then it’s just burying the pipe so it’s not in the sun and is under your tracks. Where it’s kinked leave in the sun under pressure and it may well come good…if it doesn’t, you’ll need a straight connector and cut the kink out….its like that old saying about how can u eat an Elephant…..one bite at a time 😊, stay well,t
So great to see a surprise video! How exciting is this epic day !!! I hope u build a really cool looking pump house for that pump!!! Drew u really should get an x ray on that arm, I mean look at what happened to the scooter handle? Thanks for the surprise video!!❤❤❤❤❤
So happy for you that this step has come true! Sending lots of love from me and my kitty in Vermont! Drew, I'm pretty sure you have eucalyptus re-sprouting, you can see them as you come down the gully. I think you'll need to go through again and cut them back. They won't resprout forever, it just takes a few times to win.
that is some beautiful looking water. congratulation on another epic feat being completed. stoked you got brittany and your elbow back drew. continued blessings.🕊
I was wondering if you guys ever comprehended how much work and I guess expense would be involved when you purchased the watermill to get it renovated or almost rebuilt actually. I can see it coming together beautifully with all the hard work that’s been put into it. I can’t wait to see it finished or at least move-in condition. Getting water was a huge step in this happening. I know Brittany is probably dreaming of getting a king size bed after being home for a few days. I hope Drew’s elbow heals soon, looks painful! 🥰
Just make sure that the new pump house has enough headroom in case the pump needs to be pulled out again - factor in the curve of the pipe when deciding the height of the roof. Alternatively have a roof you can open in order to get the pipe and pump out safely. You should have some filter cartridges to stop any sediment getting into the house plumbing, and a reverse osmosis system in the kitchen that can provide water for drinking, ice cubes and cooking. Well done both
The shot of the roof top is beautiful 😀 can't wait for the house to be done 😊 love the process and progress! To have water 💧 will be amazing. Thank you Drew and Brittany for sharing 😊❤🤗😎☀️much love to you ❤️
When I was in southern florida las year, I went down to homestead to see the beautiful orchids! It didn’t disappoint. The Keys are nice, but shallow near shore. Snorkeling out at reefs was awesome.
At 11:12 reminded of: “A garden fountain, a well of living water and flowing streams . . . ” Song of Solomon 4:15 what blessings and rewards for your efforts! So happy for you😊
Of its hard water there will be a metallic smell. If might need a water softner for bathing showering bit a reverse osmosis is fir drinking water quality I only
Congratulations on finally getting water. 💦 I notice in the drone shots that the terraces are starting to show green. I hope it’s good vegetation and not the eucalyptus coming back! 😉 loving 2x a week❤
The technical term in America is it’s called waterhammer when you slam a valve shut the pressure surge going many many times it’s normal pressure! Still a 30 pound pressure from the pump slam shut, can put multiply times the pressure up to and over 300# or even more!
For such a big system consider installing a buffer tank. Pump water from the well to the tank triggering the well pump based on the tank level. This will prevent problems with the well pump disconnecting from the pipe (what the guy was warning you about closing to fast ) and wear. Will increase the pressure too cause you'd be pumping from above ground, from the tank to wherever. keep the pressure vessel in line with the house tubing. This will be good too avoid the tank pump always starting even when you just fill a glass of water. The tank pump must have a pressure sensor to trigger automatically. Ideally you'd what 2 surface pumps. One for the house another for garden
Nice job,and well thought. for the big kink, you may have to cut the tube and reconnect with the blue type type connections you see on the well, they are easy to find and use.
hi there, house pump door should be in same direction of where tube was laid before they put pump in and in and preferably door in front of water hole . also protect water tubes with red conduit prior to put concrete on the floor
Our well had the pump last likely over 50 years. The old fittings were rusted out and they were replaced by brass fittings. Hope to last another 50 now. Caution: If you have to pull up the pump and restart then make sure the workers do not allow sand to get into your line and then go into the house system. We had to get the house sinks, tubs, and toilets all cleaned to get proper sealing for the automatic shut off. You likely are good for a long long time when the system is built with pro-care and quality. George in Metchosin, BC Canada.
Water! Such a massive step forward in your journey toward having a perfect home! Well done for getting all of the (complicated) necessary steps sorted. Seeing those cats, all three of them, chasing along with you is a real joy! Just what you dreamed of, Brittney. Glad to see that your elbow is healing, Drew. Maybe think about elbow protection when you're zipping around at speed? Thanks for the bonus midweek video.
one way value probably needed still between a section there to make sure water from the upper tank never flows back into the well or the link to the house in case that value isn't closed.
Oh wow, our well was the first thing that was done. We went about the same depth. FYI we made out well house kinda big and store a lot of stuff in there AND it all runs on solar. It's so cute. Congrats guys.
We always enjoy catching up on your news. Wonderful to see your vision come to fruition May God continue to bless and keep you both, your families and kitties. ❤❤ Sorry to see your injury Drew.
congrats on your new pump[! Grunfos is the best pump on the market, we installed them for quite a few years, but in our area we use heavy duty 20 ft 2 in PVC pipe with screw on connectors, but we also ha a 550 truck with a boom to lower an pull the pump, your going to love it.
Hope you heal up soon Drew. Its a drag when you do construction aand have an injury on something that bends. And yes NO pop byes to UA-camrs. If I ever make it to Portugal, I'll make sure to drop a line first.😅
We lived in the PA mountains, lost power in storms many times. We had a well. Get a well bucket, it looks like a ladle on a really long rope. You’ll be able to get water without power.
Been watching your adventures for years. I think Britney is getting even prettier instead of getting older. :) Glad to see the project going well. pun pun
Happy Adventure Thursday everyone!! So fun to have 2 episodes to share with you this week AND next week! We hope you all are doing well, we love you and we'll see you Sunday 🤗😘 xx, Mr and Mrs A + our 3 kitties too
Have your water tested to make sure it does not have arcenic, bad bacteria etc. This is very important for well water & often overlooked.
Thank you for being such a beautiful and wonderful person we get to share our lives with 🙏🩵😘
What a wonderful update. Welcome back Brittney, Drew, you'll have to cut that kink out and reattach the ends using a standard connector fitting. That material once kinked is useless. Get that pump house built and protect your system.
@@jmalone2758 I thought the same thing. Now that it’s kinked that badly, the pipe integrity is damaged. If there’s a blowout, it’ll happen there.
It is mind-blowing to me to think that people would come on your property, your private property and think it's okay. It is too bad that you even have to think about this! That is a game changer. Finally, having water on your property, that is so exciting! Thank you for sharing this part of your life with us, always fun to see the progress.
It was great to have an extra episode! Wow! You've accomplished a lot. Drew, your Portuguese is coming along nicely. It's not a easy language.
It’s amazing how much you’ve accomplished in two years. It’s exciting creating a home out of a mill. 🙌
I’m sure you must have enjoyed your precious time with family. Your Mom and Grandma are just as beautiful as you are ! Healing wishes for poor Drew ! ❤
THANK YOU LOVE 💕 and Drew's elbow is nearly all healed up now, thank goodness 🙏
The cats are having the best times of their lives , I like how they follow you around and are so inquisitive as to what is going on , and so loving towards you both. Oh , and kudos on all the water stuff - a defining moment.
Your videos are always admired for their professionalism and creativity. Thank you for your dedication!😜🏸👹
oh my 🙏 and thank YOU for your appreciation ❤
Drew - You should get a fire hose to store in the pump building so you can deal with a brush fire.
And one generator back up
It was really nice to see Britney in Florida and her childhood house, thanks for sharing such personal things with us.
Thank you for appreciating, every time I go back I’ll try and share something new from my room 🥰😽
Your videos are not just entertainment, they are a source of inspiration and learning. Thank you for your hard work and dedication!😼✋🎇
Speaking from experience, make the well house larger than you think you will need. 🥰
excellent tip, obrigado!
Yes I have one wich is 1x1meter x 2 meters heigth and it´s a bit cramped...I believve 2x2 meters footprint will be ideal...
The term used for the shock felt inside the pipes when the valve is suddenly closed is called "water hammer". In some older homes, you can hear the pipes hit the house when valves are closed to quickly. Detrimental to the pipes.
Great, great progress!!!! Very important!!! Crucial!!!! Congrats!!!!

I am appreciative for as much as Brittany and Drew share about their lives already and would never consider trying to intrude on your personal time or space. I hope people get a grip on themselves and decide to be respectful of your safety and privacy. ❤
It's so exciting to get 2 episodes this week. Water!!!! Yay!
That well is just gold!!! Wonderful to have that for convenience and for fire safety!!!
Finding that companion that completes you, total magic. 👩❤👨
Hey Drew, awesome progress! Best to unroll the pipe to prevent the kinks, now you have to cut the kink out and use a union with 2 hose clamps on each side of the union. I'D BET MONEY HE'S JUST GOING TO BURY IT AS IT IS.
Two things:
I think the rainbow when you arrived home (and I use “home” because it’s so right) was a perfect symbol of your love and commitment…to each other and to your fascinating project.
And Brittany…you are one strong and tough broad…I mean lady!!! I love watching you two interact. You’re a great team.

Your roof is a work of art!
The water pump is in! Piece by piece, your dream home is taking shape. We're almost there, right? Hugs! Hope your arm is feeling better, Andrew. Good luck!

These gentleman are amazing they know what they are doing just AMAZING
Good job, one more step closer to building and living in a stable home, " that's not on wheels."😊
Welcome back Britney. Drew missed you as we did. Your water system is top notch. Remember to close the valves slowly.🎉
Your channel is a real find for everyone who is looking for a share of good mood and joyful moments. Keep inspiring and making our days better!⚡️🤞🌈
🥹😘😘😘😘
Oh wow ! What a happy milestone, water to all the property ! That will certainly simplify things ! Hope your arm is healing well Drew, and welcome back Brittany !
We are watching and enjoying you guys from South Africa, always great seeing you guys notifications.
How special!! Always amazes us to know how far and wide this beautiful community reaches 😍🙏😘

How exciting for you two!!! Love this. Hope you’re feeling better from the fall from your bike.

honestly I felt better when she got back home.weird!!! Her strength is palpable. Drew you are amazing too.

I worked at Grundfos for a few years and I actually made the electrical part for that exactly type of pump 😅
that is some beautiful looking water. congratulation on another epic feat being completed. stoked you got brittany and your elbow back drew. continued blessings.🕊

That’s awesome. Put a huge smile on my face😊
Hello Drew, it was really fun for Mr. Luís to communicate with you and not use some words so you could understand better 😊
At 11:12 reminded of: “A garden fountain, a well of living water and flowing streams . . . ” Song of Solomon 4:15 what blessings and rewards for your efforts! So happy for you😊
Great reference!
GREAT to have running water ... inside the house and available for outside usage.
We’ve been in the business in Canada for 30 years and grunfos pumps and pentair pressure tanks are the best
If the smell continues (H2S ) rotten egg smell. You might have to install an iron filter which is for any iron and rotten egg smell removal
Of its hard water there will be a metallic smell. If might need a water softner for bathing showering bit a reverse osmosis is fir drinking water quality I only
Nice to get this episode while snowed in by a Buffalo lake-effect storm today. Thanks, friends!
Mr and Mrs Adventure here to save the day!! 🥰 so glad we could help keep you company 😘
I’m visiting daughter in Nova Scotia. Huge windstorm last night. 50+mph winds 🤦♀️. Stay safe & warm.
Congratulations on finally getting water. 💦 I notice in the drone shots that the terraces are starting to show green. I hope it’s good vegetation and not the eucalyptus coming back! 😉 loving 2x a week❤
Loved the tour of your childhood bedroom! So sweet. 💕
Wish you all the best and good recovery Drew. Love from Norway
Celebrations for a major milestone of running water to your homestead!!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉❤
The technical term in America is it’s called waterhammer when you slam a valve shut the pressure surge going many many times it’s normal pressure! Still a 30 pound pressure from the pump slam shut, can put multiply times the pressure up to and over 300# or even more!
Your cats are so precious. I love that you're such good fur parents to them. It's nice to see something other than dog people on YT :)
Congratulations on the well!
Great point! We ended up using a stronger tube that you will see in a later episode 💪
hi there, house pump door should be in same direction of where tube was laid before they put pump in and in and preferably door in front of water hole . also protect water tubes with red conduit prior to put concrete on the floor
Congratulations!🎉 What a milestone!
Wow!!! That is huge! Happy Water Day 💧 😊 Drew….be careful!
🙏🎶😊✨
I started clapping when the water started gushing 😂😂 love from Luxembourg ❤
Aww yay!!! Love that we can share in the joy 🥰🤗😘
congrats on your new pump[! Grunfos is the best pump on the market, we installed them for quite a few years, but in our area we use heavy duty 20 ft 2 in PVC pipe with screw on connectors, but we also ha a 550 truck with a boom to lower an pull the pump, your going to love it.
Thanks for your vid 😇💟💟💟 Love and bless you guys 🙏 good work on the water connection 💯😊
Great the driller found water!
I sympathise with you Drew, I fell out my back door today, grazed my right knee & elbow. Really smarts, cried like a baby 😂
OMG 😳 what a job with the hose
Glad your arm is doing better👍
Wow.. Christmas came early!
Hope you heal up soon Drew. Its a drag when you do construction aand have an injury on something that bends. And yes NO pop byes to UA-camrs. If I ever make it to Portugal, I'll make sure to drop a line first.😅
Florida is nice this time of year. I was there in the summer, and not such great weather! But that’s the tropics for you!
We lived in the PA mountains, lost power in storms many times. We had a well. Get a well bucket, it looks like a ladle on a really long rope. You’ll be able to get water without power.
Thursday treat !
Been watching your adventures for years. I think Britney is getting even prettier instead of getting older. :) Glad to see the project going well. pun pun
Thank you for the extra vlog , xx
