I'm hoping once he realizes we are here with our energy cheering him on that he will let us watch more demo and reno instead of showing us after he's done it. That gets flat very quickly.

I wouldn't say this was too difficult Phil. You didn't have a burst pipe, or water going everywhere. The ceiling didn't collapse and you managed to get the doors open. Mission achieved. Could have been a lot worse, so well done for phase 1. You are doing ok. It is going to be very interesting what you do with the rooms. 🙂

That was a very good idea opening that up again and when you pushed it open it felt like a Narnja moment, when the kids climbed through the cupboard door and saw a winter wonderland. It felt like that when you pushed the door open into the other room and it actually makes the room flow and not feel cut off. Well done Phil.

    Phil,
great work cause if it had been closed for all that time - stuff happens better to find it on your time than waiting pipe/electrical issue to occur.
You have a friend who has good ideas you could ask Billy for their ideas as needed for these rooms as they did great job on the kitchen. Mix diff ideas that you like or lean towards like maybe diff eras of Chateau that you like colours, textures, contrast that you lean towards. this will reveal your style. Make it your own & have at it. Make it yours! Well done.

Looks great just to be able to see into the other room, you did say it needs decorated and thats fine, but do consider this for a second, that wallpaper is quite nice if you just went around the skirting and so on, and then use lighter furniture the dark wood is too heavy, then the room could look nice and less work, ?? Anyway your doing great xx hugs Dede xxxx

For colours in your bedroom etc. because winter is so gloomy you should find a cosy outdoor space in a dark summer/ spring space and use those colours and gold or silver as highlights
