You are absolutely doing the right thing. I have 5 kids, and have missed a lot of their childhoods by working. Luckily, Dad was home with them most of their childhoods, but I did miss a lot. Build the relationships with those boys. Show them they're the priority. They may not recognize it now, but they will when they're older. You do you, and we'll come along for the ride! As someone who only discovered your channel fairly recently, and who went back and watched ALL of the convent videos, this will be a nice chance to learn more about the Chateau, which I've not had the chance to go watch the videos from yet.

I'm not a professional or anything, and I'm healing from a very extensive surgery to repair my right rotator cuff and bicep that was completely obliterated. I pray for you, your family to be close and have great relationships with one another, and for the renovations to be completely finished in all your properties in God's time. I think it's amazing you have the understanding to take a sabbatical so to speak, to be with your wife and children. I literally just found your channel today and have been going through the videos as possible. I live in Oklahoma and absolutely adore the architecture of the convent and what you have and you are doing to it in the future. Well I love both properties. I don't even need to see you building. I'm just as happy exploring. It's nice that you know how and are fixing. Your family needs to be most important. The children will have a wonderful childhood growing up with the ability to explore the property with you and your wife. And extended family.
A very wise decision Billy, I missed seeing my children growing up, because I was always working, running 3 businesses, one of which was a shipping company. and never getting home till the kids were in bed. The convent will always be there, with others doing the work. I'm sure Gwen will be happy too.
You are the fourth vlog I follow that started a second project before finishing their main project. Then they seem to flail around without any real direction where they are going. I realize how hard it must be coming up with content, filming, editing, construction, etc., but to juggle that with real life and additional vlogs or projects doesn't make your product any better. It's like watching a TV series that loses its main character. Some succeed, most don't. Wish you the best.

I’m a relatively new viewer. I did not realize the work at the Chateau wasn’t complete. By all means, finish this before tackling another huge project. You know what they say about a candle burning at both ends.

A very wise decision Billy, I missed seeing my children growing up, because I was always working, running 3 businesses, one of which was a shipping company. and never getting home till the kids were in bed. The convent will always be there, with others doing the work.

You are the fourth vlog I follow that started a second project before finishing their main project. Then they seem to flail around without any real direction where they are going. I realize how hard it must be coming up with content, filming, editing, construction, etc., but to juggle that with real life and additional vlogs or projects doesn't make your product any better. It's like watching a TV series that loses its main character. Some succeed, most don't. Wish you the best.

I prefer the work that you do at home. I like seeing rooms decorated and having family around. I did watch all the convent videos to support the restoration, but I really enjoy seeing a room complete. That is difficult at the convent ❤❤❤❤❤

I’m a relatively new viewer. I did not realize the work at the Chateau wasn’t complete. By all means, finish this before tackling another huge project. You know what they say about a candle burning at both ends.

I can understand how much work it takes to make videos, moving the camera angles, stopping constantly while you are doing so much detailed and important work. It makes perfect sense. Every year it is important to sit down and reevaluate your priorities or you just just get stuck. Family always comes first. It will be as nice for us to see more of your family as it will be for you. Lucky you have such a hard working, talented work crew who can see your vision.
Agree with you Billy, the Chateau and estate should be a priority and the convent overseen whenever you have time but above all the projects family and friends are the most important in anyone's life. It sets an example when partners in life respect each other's dreams
