That's what I think about it 😂 IMO the warden's problem is that it should be an ice mage, but it's not anything close to it-the only class that could perform decent as an ice mage is the necro IMO. Also I don't like its need to stack health in PvP in order to survive (this is my own opinion, not copied from deltia, even though his one is similar)
@@kyleheron3015 it's really beginner friendly, but as you get better at the game, it gets more and more outperformed by the necromancer, which definitely isn't as beginner friendly, but more rewarding. Both are really strong, burst- focused and tanky classes though
I really find Warden class as one of the coolest, both as an animal lover, but also because of their lore. The fact that they bring all those animals, vegetation and frost to reality just by storytelling sounds amazing to me
Id hate to run a dungeon with this channel owner with my two DK tanks, because tanks are shit. Templars, nobles, thieves guild, and nightblades revolve around Khajiit, the main trademark of the whole franchise they created Nirn, and surprisingly its about the two main best classes in the game.

I used to play ESO and watch you a ton a year ago, and am now getting back into it! So cool they gave Morrowind away and that new DLC looks awesome! Thanks Lucky Ghost, keep it up.
Thanks for the best class overview I've been able to find. A lot of people focus too much on tier rating or specific skills, without giving the broader picture. I've enjoyed ESO in the past but always end up wandering away. Your video helped me realize part of my disconnect: the class aesthetics I like the most don't overlap with dps playstyles I prefer--which don't overlap with the classes who are solid healers (my favorite group role). I wish I had the free time to invest in leveling multiple characters but I don't. So maybe I'll try warden as it at least checks two of the boxes.
I wish the Necro was more of a summoner than a spammer. Not sure why other classes can have permanent summons but necros have to resummon any pet every 20 seconds. It makes the class very busy to play. I understand the corpse mechanic is a thing but it literally makes no sense as you don't need corpses to "raise" minions... it seems random which abilities need a corpse and which don't. I doubt anyone would miss the corpse mechanic and things could be easily rebalanced.
I actually like it more the way the necromancer works because other permanent summons take up a slot on both front and back bar. The necromancer is able to do a lot more because they aren't restricted as much in my opinion
i too would love it if when could reanimate fallen enemies. I think they didn't make them permanent Summons since like half of the Necromancer's abilities are illegal. after all it would suck if you couldn't enter any city or town because your Skeleton Mage would cause the Guards to instantly attack you.
My second character is a Necromancer and boy howdy was using Bone Goliath for the first time was a fun moment. i could just imagine as my Necromancer was enveloped in smoke as he began to cackle manically, his laughter becoming more distorted, till at last he rises from the smoke, towering above all, clad head to toe in bone, embraced by the dark magics he wields. I also loved how in multiple conversations i could go down unique dialogue paths because i was a Necromancer.
Just started playing a few days ago as a Templar using aedric spear abilities - really enjoying it, but I think I want to make a warden next and try him out! Loving the game so far
I haven't started the game yet but your videos are kinda getting me interested. I think I'll play Templar if I do start. It has appealing visuals although I don't particularly like dual wielding weapons. However, I've never been very good at caster classes and this class looks like it has the best skillset to overcome the sorcerer teleport in PvP situations. Although the game isn't huge on PvP right now (judging from your other videos), this is crucial for me to have to feel like my class has meaning when leveling up.
@@sleezy2942 Yeah, I use 2 destro staves. FIre or bosses/single target. Then lightning for AoE. Since the passives benefit those elements respectfully.

Not saying that dk healers are s tier but personally from experience I’d say the dk healer is at least A tier. Lot of potential in heal over time abilities as well as a, technically, free aoe healing ability (cinder storm) that heals for a lot of health. Not to mention all the damage buffing capabilities that dks can provide to the group. While very hungry on magicka they are hard to play but when you do learn to sustain magicka dk healers can be very powerful healers. Definitely underrated but not easy to play.
It will be interesting to see if the rankings change with U35. I came back to ESO after 14 months on BDO, got sick of the grind, so there have been some changes. My main is magsorc and she feels much weaker than I remember, I’m worried that U35 will make me decide to abandon that class until further notice. I have a Templar but he’s not fully leveled.
Returned to ESO since beating the main story at launch. Really disorienting but I’ve experimented with of all classes except Warden and Sorc. So far I’ve found Nightblade really good at soloing dungeon bosses. Templar is boring. Necro is fun but a bit tedious to micromanage. DK I’ve touched the least but seems like it may be viable. Just gotta keep at it I suppose
After a long time, I recently went back to my Magplar High Elf (I think I got that combination correct. Mind is half asleep. Morning, man) and amid writs and farming for gold mats to sell after a pal helps the sale (since I’m no good in math), I also do excavation and scrying which sometimes gives me treasures that I can actually sell for large coin amounts. Heck I even got a sellable piece that was worth 5k gold. But I still don’t know any other way beside those ways and questing to earn big gold. Kinda frustrated by that.
Man, after watching this I'm even more unsure of which class to choose! I'm stuck between Templar for the heals and team usefullness or the Nightblade for the sneaky damage dealer
Personally, I'd say to go for whatever class you like the power fantasy or asethetic of the most. My main class is by far Nighblade, and I have several Nightblade characters who are all kitted out with different builds to fit any sort of content. The class' identity resonates with me personally so much that any attempts I make to do DPS builds on other classes end up falling short about 20K DPS when compared to my Nightblade. I'm still trying to get used to play a lot of other classes, since variety is the spice of life, but when I'm looking to have some casual fun or try some harder content, I usually end up playing one of my Nightblades.
I'm four months late to comment, but I feel I must get my opinion on here. I always choose Nightblade as my class (I do have at least one character that has the other class, ex. one has Dragonknight, another is a Sorcerer, and so on, but the VAST majority are Nightblades). I always, ever since I started playing Elder Scrolls games, enjoy playing mostly as a sneaky character. Sure he or she may wield swords and fight like a warrior, but they also use stealth skills when it benefits them. Sort of a mix between warrior and sneak. I started with Skyrim, then went back to Oblivion, then Morrowind (I got into the series a bit late), and even as I was limited to classes in those older games (which affected leveling skills), even then, no matter how many times I start a new character, I always have four skills chosen at all times on all of them, Speech, Mercantile, Sneak and Lockpicking, on all of them. I want to be able to persuade, to get better prices on selling and buying goods, be able to sneak attack, and finally get into any and all chests (even if I'm not playing a thief, as dungeons and the wilds have locked chests, also). And even in ESO, this playstyle remains. Plus, I feel it works best in the overall story. For example, I very much enjoy Naryu Virian. She is an assassin, and to see her in the Gold Coast region you need to do the Dark Brotherhood storyline. But which class makes it easier or harder to do that story? Nightblade, because they can sneak! Other stories, such as the Thieves Guild, are also quite sneak-heavy, and the Nightblade class makes that soooo much easier! And there are numerous other DLCs and base-game missions, such as that one dungeon and the temple of Trinimac in Wrothgar, where stealth is preferred over brutishly fighting. So, in terms of overall story and roleplaying (to do all the DLCs), I believe Nightblade is the best class of the whole series!
The only class (or better - players, while using this class) I occasionally want to vote-kick are Templers who do their 30k single target dps in a non-vet dungeon and complain about other players for not fully understanding their rotation yet. Must be hard to finish a dungeon in 12 minutes instead of 10... Everytime I see such a player I have fantasies about them trying out other classes with the need for an actual rotation, failing miserably to do so :D I'm not a good person.
At risk of sounding pompous, there is no class with a 'difficult' rotation, just lazy people who refuse to spend a little time on a target dummy to get it into muscle memory? Even the most convoluted Necro rotation can be mastered by a small child in just a few minutes. There are 5 year olds playing Chopin and Rachmaninoff. If a person cannot handle pressing 5 keys in a specific order over and over and over, then maybe they're not even trying? I think far too much has been said about Templar's easy rotation. I play Templar and every other class except Warden. None of them are hard. I think what makes Templar easy is not the rotation, but the fact that you can ignore absurd amounts of incoming damage and just keep sweeping - where other classes need to be more careful.
One thing I would like to ask (or more likely, mention) is Necromancer's ability Blastbones. I was suprised to hear it is (asside from Ultimates) hardest hitting ability in Necro's arsenal. I never found it all that usefull, asside from slow casting time, damage was not much higher than Flame Skull (that I use as my primary mean of dealing damage as Necro). It might be just me playing magicka-based characters (and from footage you show, I see your Necromancer is stamina-based, so maybe stamina morph hits harder), and also, please don't forget I'm still newbie to the game, so my apologies if I'm saying something totaly dumb.
Fuck, i'm prolly gonna buy the game soon but i can't decide between the Nightblade and the Sorcerer. The Nightblade looks badass and is sneaky, has great burst damage, has lifesteal and can summon a shadow, all of which are abilities i love, but then you have the Sorcerer with more pets, passive healing, storm-esc magic, and teleportation. These are literally all abilities that i like! Damn, choosing is gonna be hard... But thanks for the great video!
Imperial templar tank here, as someone who solos world bosses, I feel like the burst heal, buffs and shields are some of the best in game. I'm biased but I don't really see how you wouldn't consider it an S tier tank
I'm probably not the best to answer that, as I've only ever scratched the surface with DK. I always end up right back to templar because I'm a huge fan of being a one man army. Between the shields, self heals, and dps, I personally don't think any class beats templar
I think DK gets some healing ability later, but for templar, you get to dish out damage, and heal all relatively soon in game, and if you are a heavy armor wearing, health focused tank, it takes quite a bit to kill me, even in pvp which I'm not built around. I also give myself a dps boost via WW skill without losing anything noticeable as a tank. So far the only think I havnt been able to do myself is trials and vet dungeons
I recall for a long period of time Nightblades had the highest theoretical parses but had very difficult rotations which was the reason they were often pretty hard for solo players. Are nightblades significantly worse in terms of optimal parses in comparison to Necro/Sorc for instance? Not familiar with the recent nerfs so I'm curious how they shifted the landscape.
Honestly 😥 been playing bightblade for awhile and all you can do is rely on the burst combo healing attack other than that it can’t do much of anything comparatively
Was coming back to the game and everything’s changed lmao I remember when there was VET level 16 max now it’s all mad and confusing 😂 feel like the gear I had then that was good, does nothing now. Damn got to grind it again
Very good analysis! I used to play TESO a couple of years ago and decided to turn back, with this video now I know which path to take. Also, by any chance do you have any video detailing some add-ons or mods? I really like those plug-ins? you have there, like the on of the health and stats, where can I get that? Thanks
I have tried all 6 classes in almost all 3 roles (except for sorc, dk, and nb healers) and the game’s getting stale for me at this point.. was really hoping they added a new class or a weapon but oh well
We need a class (something like a bard, but with a different name) that specializes in buffs, being able to increase the W&S damage, crit damage, healing done and received, etc. of group members (and themselves, in solo play) for a considerable amount of time. Having a skill line that also specializes in debuffs might also be interesting. This could possibly add a forth role to the DPS/tank/healer triad, and an extra layer of strategy in group play.
It's every 2 years that a new class comes out. Because of the COVID-19, they had to cancel their class release of 2021. Wich means we're probably gonna have a class in 2023. And in 2025. And so on
As a new player, all of the classes are just really boring. Though i'm having fun with the DK early on. Due to the more freeform nature of ESO, abilities seem to lack proper rotations leaving players to craft their own. I think the game would benefit from ability procs and class spell synergy like World of Warcraft. Like if i'm a Necromancer, I can cast Hungry Scythe, but why? Other than to heal it doesn't do much. Perhaps if it worked with Ricochet Skull and added a mark to enemies that triggers on Hungry Scythe dealing extra damage and crowd control it would make gameplay more interesting. Heavy attacks could also use a rework, I feel like they are largely worthless unless you want more Magicka or Stamina. Maybe adding class or spell options for heavy attacks would be a solution, but that would require changing an entire system the games had for years.
It's not that they never get nerfed it's just their at the bottom of the food chain lol game is unbalanced but now their getting a future buff like DK and every other classes but Sorc are still more likely the same because it's a top 3 class ether tied with templar both magic base stam sorc is best all around but stamblade best at dmg you can even play the game by just knowing the mechanics and having skills so really no class is better it takes skills 😉
@@foxolibre5457 I dont have any complaints about sorc, templar or Dk its Nightblade that sucks in almost every aspect except recovery. Stealth nerfed. Crowd control nerfed but regular. Damage nerfed. Life steal nerfed. Sustain good.
I'm looking for a Class guide for ESO because I'm planning to make a new Hero from a Sorcerer and after watching this guide I realized Sorcerer is still my favorite after all. But I will make a Dragon Knight as my next Hero, thank you for the good video.
The vampire skill line has the best ultimate in the game as well as the best passive in the entire damn game, unnatural movement., go with combining it with the templar.

I've started playing eso 5 months ago with nightblade because I've heard they are best class for PVP and also good for PVE. Now I hear they got nerfed. So... is actually playing as a nightblade worth it?...
the best and the worst are never far apart. play what looks cool and you'll never be sad. the meta changes every 3 months, so its difficult to try to chase, especially for new players that dont have one of each class already made

I like the video but can't believe you said the shade skill for nightblade does "great" damage. It has some uses for the teleport in pvp and maybe for the maim debuff but the damage is awful!

Good stuff as always!!
I hate the fact Radial Sweep is no longer a 'tank' skill 😪
Mag sorc is definitely my favorite atm. But I'm liking the leveling processes of my magdk and magblade alot
I got this game with all dlc for 24 dollars and happy to hop in, but definitely trying the warden aswell
nice, hope you enjoy it!
Thank you for the hard work; great info!
The only class (or better - players, while using this class) I occasionally want to vote-kick are Templers who do their 30k single target dps in a non-vet dungeon and complain about other players for not fully understanding their rotation yet. Must be hard to finish a dungeon in 12 minutes instead of 10...
Everytime I see such a player I have fantasies about them trying out other classes with the need for an actual rotation, failing miserably to do so :D I'm not a good person.
meh
Probably the one Templar that revives you all the time.
You're totally wrong but that's ok :) welcome to eso!
@@LuckyGhost No argument there, but could you elaborate a bit more? :)
I miss the days where the sorc's daedric armor was a toggle. Stacking it with heavy armor made you ungodly tanky. Was op as hell.
Thanks so much I’m at an impasse for choosing magplar, stamsorc, or magblade
Stamsorc for pvp, magplar for pve, you will never look back 💪
@@zachary93 brooooo I’m literally there, I got deadly dagger drop and I’m like do I make my pve magplar beast or keep on pvp
Warden is A.S.S.? Nice 13:33
i just started a couple of days ago... choose the sorcerer.
is there a sort of bard build possible in the game ?
Love Warden healer. but wanna try Warden Ice Aoe for sure
Imperial templar tank here, as someone who solos world bosses, I feel like the burst heal, buffs and shields are some of the best in game. I'm biased but I don't really see how you wouldn't consider it an S tier tank
Is it better than Dragon Knight tank? I just started playing and currently level 9
I'm probably not the best to answer that, as I've only ever scratched the surface with DK. I always end up right back to templar because I'm a huge fan of being a one man army. Between the shields, self heals, and dps, I personally don't think any class beats templar
@@AxelTribal Ah ok. I will stay with DK for now. Templar will be my next class though👌
@@AxelTribal Templar definitely sounds like an All Arounder😂
I recall for a long period of time Nightblades had the highest theoretical parses but had very difficult rotations which was the reason they were often pretty hard for solo players. Are nightblades significantly worse in terms of optimal parses in comparison to Necro/Sorc for instance? Not familiar with the recent nerfs so I'm curious how they shifted the landscape.
That's a pretty sick outfit for the templar, what's the outfit details?
The Assassin/Rogue archetype is my favorite, so I wanted to play Nightblade, but I'm so sick of my preferred class always being gimped.
Honestly 😥 been playing bightblade for awhile and all you can do is rely on the burst combo healing attack other than that it can’t do much of anything comparatively
Night*
I love my magblade first class that I hit over 70k plus without the damage buff potion
Was coming back to the game and everything’s changed lmao I remember when there was VET level 16 max now it’s all mad and confusing 😂 feel like the gear I had then that was good, does nothing now. Damn got to grind it again
i really want to play warden but i'm broke, is there a way to earn the character?
Can I tank as dragon knight but have two axes? Or a big great axe? Thinking of like warrior from ffxiv.
Very good analysis! I used to play TESO a couple of years ago and decided to turn back, with this video now I know which path to take. Also, by any chance do you have any video detailing some add-ons or mods? I really like those plug-ins? you have there, like the on of the health and stats, where can I get that? Thanks
Ya here on yt. Just search lucky ghost addons
@@LuckyGhost Hi again! The other reply of “You’ve won a prize” is scam right?
@@theloxux8989 ya thats a scam
Sorc healer is the most boring shit ever. Definitely not recommend if u are a new player. Has 2 healing morphs without any unique animation etc
@@d.r.parsons no one needs healers now, it would be better if they instead worked on the gama and make healers somehow relevant
u use reshade ?
Any tips for a Newcomer? Im litterly Downloading it at the Moment
Stamwarden is the best DPS from all classes...and damn easy to play...^^
so sorcerer can permanent summon but necros can't? kinda weird?
Well...necros kinda depend on dead bodies to boost the skills.
Did anyone else noticed that pay for expansion classes never get nerfed as the Nightblade.
@@foxolibre5457 I dont have any complaints about sorc, templar or Dk its
Nightblade that sucks in almost every aspect except recovery.
Stealth nerfed.
Crowd control nerfed but regular.
Damage nerfed.
Life steal nerfed.
Sustain good.
@@joseschultz447 It does hurt rly :(
@@AshySamurai I no longer play with my Nightblades and this is game with only 6 classes, 5 classes now.
what is the skeleton armour/skin on the necromancer when you sumarise the tiers?
What’s the skill used in 0:53?
This is late but I knew the Templar would be a SASsy type
Is nightblade the worst class?
ok... now what does A, C, D tiers at the end of each class even mean? if those are grades.. is A the best or the worst? in europe we dont use those
A is 1 B is 2 C is 3 and S is 1+
What is better with stamina damage the dragonknite or templar?
I'm looking for a Class guide for ESO because I'm planning to make a new Hero from a Sorcerer and after watching this guide I realized Sorcerer is still my favorite after all. But I will make a Dragon Knight as my next Hero, thank you for the good video.
The vampire skill line has the best ultimate in the game as well as the best passive in the entire damn game, unnatural movement., go with combining it with the templar.
Spoiler alert THEY ARE ALL THE SAME since zos destroyed any class identity....
I just got back into it about a week ago and I'm a sword and shield stamplar but my character feels weak so I might change him around a bit
I wish you would’ve discussed stam vs mag damage
Great vid! My friends and I are trying to decide on an MMO since Final Fantasy XIV is a bit too slow in the beginning.
patience is key my friend if youre playing ffxiv. ARR is definitely slow and longest expansion. ive finished endwalker early this year and trust you me you dont wanna miss out the whole arc. Am currently started ESO as well after quitting Lost Ark.
so like there is almost no distinction between classes is what I am getting from this.
since you talked about the classes can you go over things like vampire and werewolf, or say the guilds would be fun to see how they interact with the main classes.
Describing them in terms of their Ultimates and Skillset😢TY! Doesn’t matter which build I’m searching for I hear just: 9000 points Resistance! 4 Group Duengon SOLO and bla bla bla, Bruh i just want play a good feeling class a funny one so thank you !
Stamden is ohne of the Most fun class for me
I've started playing eso 5 months ago with nightblade because I've heard they are best class for PVP and also good for PVE. Now I hear they got nerfed. So... is actually playing as a nightblade worth it?...
the best and the worst are never far apart. play what looks cool and you'll never be sad. the meta changes every 3 months, so its difficult to try to chase, especially for new players that dont have one of each class already made
@@LuckyGhost I additionaly meant what is the point of playing the hardest class if is not best in rewarding. I hope ZOS will fix this a little.
Anyway I must thank you Lucky for your stamina nightblade guide. It helped me a lot as a beginner. You are awesome.
range nightblade was my main.... kinda boring tbh. stam Dragonknight tank has been ton of fun not only in pve but pvp too. Necro looks really fun but I believe you have to buy it separately?
Yeah you have to buy it. It's a ton of fun though so it's something to look forward too.
I have more fun playing Necro and Sorcerer with Sorcerer as my main.
No knights class ? Like thebone of the trailer ?
i like the new ranking format
I will try the necromancer as my second class. curious if I will get arrested.
Eso is the only game where I genuinely dread hitting max level. It's like shit now what do I do.
Looks like they still have alot of balancing work to do.
If Dragon Knight tanks are S tier no other tank can be S tier =) plainly way better than any other tank class in game.
Man, of course the class I was most interested in playing is your lowest ranked class :c
Obligatory algorithm comment
The hero i need
I like the video but can't believe you said the shade skill for nightblade does "great" damage. It has some uses for the teleport in pvp and maybe for the maim debuff but the damage is awful!
You're just wrong, every big nightblade parse has it slotted because its one of their hardest hitting abilities:)
Yeah it's disappointing that NB is useless at DPS. I like playing dual daggers in my games because they hit like a truck and it's expected to, but not in ESO...
of course if you say,. CLICK THAT BUTTON . i don´t never click that button.
What's the lightning aoe thing with the dragon knight?
Dragonknight is a fire and poison themed class. They have no inherent lighting abilities. What you saw was the monster armor set, Illambris. It will proc fire and/or lightning (sometimes at the same time).
@@the_lex4823 thanks. I've never seen that in action before. I need it for sure.
Warden the mushroom mage.
I wish it was more like Skyrim. Just all skills have individual levels and everything else comes from that
