Perfect ending. Thank you for sharing your story and voicing the sentiments of thousands. Thomas is incredibly special, and for all of the controversy of recent years, the criticism comes from a place of love. Today’s kids, more than ever, need media that is designed to be something they can cherish and learn from, not slop that preys on their attention with no regard for their well-being. *"Dear Christoper, here is your friend Thomas The Tank Engine. He wanted to come out of his station yard and see the world, these stories tell you how he did it. I hope you will like them, because you helped me to make them. Your loving daddy."* ~ Rev W. Awdry
We pay respect to Wilbert Awdry and his son Christopher Awdry as well as Britt Allcroft thank you Wilbert for creating the blue tank engine Christopher for continuing your father’s legacy and Britt Allcroft for making this show so that way we got a bigger fandom then we would have had thank you three creators three legends.🫡
I'm not crying, you're crying. Anyways, its been an honor watching your content for so many years. I remember first watching your Thoughts On video about Season 18 and being absolutely hooked, and I haven't ceased to watch every video from you since then. Thomas as well has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, and its impact on my life and hobbies can never be said enough times. Thank you, Thomas for always being there for me, and thank you, Nic, for being my favorite UA-camr.
I was born with severe hearing impairment, and underwent 12 surgical operations by the time I turned 10 so I could continue hearing what everyone was saying around me. Even today, I struggle with hearing impairment...especially in crowded areas and near loud noises. ... And yet, during all those years of hardship, and to this very day, the one thing that I could always count on to brighten my day...was Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends. It was this franchise that helped me stay strong, even during my darkest hours of life... ... Thank you Rev. W. Awdry for your books and stories...Thank you Unlucky Tug for your fantastic videos and content. ... And, most of all, thank you Thomas...for being our friend.
I genuinely almost started crying when Thank you for being a friend started. This video made me realize how much Thomas has changed my life as well. The last 40 years have been solid gold for us. Thank you, Thomas! 🚂🎉
My grandad was a railway worker in his heyday, and now, whenever I think of Thomas and the real engines they're based on, I'll always think of him. RIP Grandad, you'll always be there for me.
My Grandad was a church minister and introduced me to the Railway series books. Watching interviews of Awdry I see soo much of my Grandad's personality in him. Every time I read the stories to my own kids, I am transported back 30 years or so to him reading them to me, with that same soft spoken, "church man" storytelling approach.
My grandpa was an engineer as well. He worked for a variety of railroads in eastern Pennsylvania. He passed before I was born and my mom always said that my love of trains was my way of always being connected to the grandfather I never got to meet.
My grandpa used to work on the Denver and Rio Grande, or just "Rio Grande" if you prefer. He was of course, too dead to tell me about it by the time I rolled off the assembally line, but grandma seems to know a bit about steam trains, having grown up in a railroad town. Dad (his son) only seems to know that "he worked on diesel trains", not much help there. We do have some forensic clues in the form of truly gigantic tools he "liberated" from the railroad over the years, which are now gradually accumulating in my tool box as needed for me to repair cars. He also seems to have been talented with plastic models. Ships, cars, aircraft, no trains, though I really do wish they would make kits for locomotives and rolling stock...
Came for the Season 5 modelwork, respectful dialogue, and incredible soundtrack. Stayed for the original books that will continue to stand the test of time.
40 whole years. Thomas & Friends has come a very long way. In spite of it's numerous ups and downs, the franchise still holds close to our hearts. Happy anniversary, Thomas. Thank you for being a massive part of our lives. 💙
“the engines’ faces didn’t move” I have never understood people using this as a criticism of the show. The filmmakers weren’t being cheap when they trusted us as children to use our imagination. We watched and listened and we got it! Sometimes I feel like the cognitive work we put in only enriched the experience.
I guess because people nowadays aren’t used to the uncanny appearances. These days technology has advanced to where shows are made with animation, not stop motion or models
I used to be scared of Thomas in my kid years, but overtime I grew to love the show and I'm glad I did. Thomas has been there since my childhood and really don't think I would be who I am without this little blue engine. Thank you Thomas, Keep chugging along
40 years of an alternate world we all love to escape to. Here's to hoping that future generations get to experience it. (And another 40 years of people thinking Henry is still stuck in the tunnel).
Haha, those people who just hate Sodor’s Legend of the Lost Treasure because of Topham being mad at Thomas have started reminding me of the those who claim that Thomas is authoritative.
Seeing Images of Little Unlucky Tug in those golden years of childhood is so surreal. I wish I could go back to my childhood and relive the happy days of Playing with My Tomy Trains on a table made of old doors (Yes, My Tomy trains were laid upon some old sliding doors we had in the basement.) Going to Day Out With Thomas at the Lebanon Mason & Monroe Railroad, etc. Even though I grew up with the HiT Era, I still hold Thomas close to my heart.
I am so damn thankful for The Little Blue Train, I am so thankful that I made so many friends along the way. THANK YOU SO MUCH, THOMAS!!!!! THOMAS, WE LOVE YOU!!!!!!
Man, 80 years for the Railway Series soon, 40 years since the show’s beginnings, and many more fans for years to come. Thomas taught me some of the most valued life lessons and that it can create so many great characters and stories from a realistic viewpoint with talking trains. It will undoubtedly be timeless.
This might be one of the best anniversary video I’ve ever seen, you always bring a lot to the table and exceed our expectations, so thank you for being apart of my journey in this community!
Thomas had been a major part of my life for as long as I could remember. I honestly don’t know what I’d be like without him. It’s hard to imagine what all of us would be like without Thomas, his friends, his railway, and all of the show. Despite all of its flaws and rough times, it still manages to make us smile. Thank you Wilbert Awdry, Britt Allcroft, David Mitton, and all of the people who helped make this show special. Thank you, Thomas the Tank Engine.
@truckercowboyed2638 I'm there with you brother! Our childhood was special. All of that kept me on the right path and out of trouble. No judgment of those who has, but I find it sad rather than resentment. Hopefully God touches their hearts.
This is the perfect ending to video, and nothing feels better than listening to the song at the end and laying down on my bed with the window open and the night breeze gently blowing through the leaves and hearing the cricket sing on this nice cool fall night. Good night, and have a good one.
Thomas shaped my life, when i was young toddler and quickly became my childhood hero and the symbolism of my life. He still does even when i'm 18 years old. Thomas made in impact on my life and he always will. Happy 40th Anniversary to my biggest childhood piece.
It's crazy to think that today marks the 40th anniversary since Thomas and Gordon came out but NEXT YEAR marks the 80th anniversary of the whole sires It just blows my mind
The closer we get towards the 2030s and 40s, more interesting works of the past century will emerge into the public domain that, hopefully, can produce thoughtful and creative content (not the bad horror products et. al.) I succinctly remember the 60th anniversary of the series, but man, time is coming over to 80, 90, and I hope there’s something grand planned for a full 100th birthday celebration in 2045 (assuming we’re all around by then). Aside from that, this series is incredible and a great introduction to world building, English culture, and railway production.
I was born in 2002, so when Season 6 was around. I watched most of the classic season through VHS & DVD and then the HIT, Miller, and Brenner seasons through PBS Kids. Now I'm appalled at what Mattel has done to my childhood. I have autism, but leaning towards the high functioning end of the spectrum. I connected with this series since the first time I watched it
Mattel really did take a sledgehammer to Thomas the Tank Engine and turn it into modern Gen. Alpha preschool slop. At least it's not Cocomelon level sludge.
@@Iron_Blood_Enjoyer1933I just made a cameo in this video. My comment from the Sodor's Finest on Donald & Douglas can bee seen in a blink and you'll miss it moment at 31:10.
Aye same here bud! Season 6 and 7 don't get as much love as they should. I mean... They are still technically part of the "classic" era, and have some episodes that could easily go tow to tow with what came before.
This was the MOST BEAUTIFUL Unlucky Tug Video I have ever watched! This is definitely, 100%, totally, without question: THOMAS’S SWAN SONG! Thomas and his friends now live on as gods of our childhood. Such a beautiful masterpiece! Great job Nic. An amazing new video! And I hope you and your wife enjoy the trip to Europe!
Can we just give this man a moment of silence, considering how much he’s done for the fandom I mean this man has to be one of the most respected people that I know and if you disagree, then you’re wrong this man has been making great content, even after a significant low to his old channel and if you can name another UA-camr with mad dedication like that, then I’ll be impressed so let us sit in silence and respect this man
Thank for helping me find my love for Thomas again. I had always assumed that I needed to grow out of it and get rid of my toys and the like. Since then I regret those things because you showed me that having interests in things I loved as a kid as an adult makes life better. Appreciate everything you do for the community and letting outsiders know why love that blue train and his pals so much.

"Thomas is a tank engine" Those first few words started off a show that's lasted till' today With a fandom that thrives alongside it (Even it it's split down the middle with people who like AEG and BWBA and those who like the railway series and older stuff) It's simply unlikely and yet it's expecting at all times Happy 40th Anniversary Thomas and Friends TVS! And a very big thank you to the crew that worked on it, From the model series to the CGI series and even now with AEG cause you guys do all the hard work to keep up watching and seeing what comes next for the little blue guy and his world of friends
I remember when my brother unplugged he's Xbox and then on the TV thomas came on and it I was glued to it ever since I'll never forget that moment so thank you thomas for being my friend 😢🥹
Even though I was born around the late HiT era/early Nitrogen era, I have always loved watching the Classic era through the DVDs, and the internet. The show has always captivated me and when I found out there were toys of them, I was absolutely ecstatic because I could attempt to recreate crashes like you did. However, above all, the second season was what made me adore the show, especially the 14th and 23rd episodes: A Close Shave and Edward’s Exploit. A Close Shave showed me true bravery, and Edward’s Exploit showed me how to persevere through the thick and thin. But the most surprising thing is: Thomas didn’t introduce me to trains, it only enhanced my love for them. Since I live in NYC, the subway is what introduced me to trains. I don’t really have much to say except HAPPY 40th, THOMAS! and…. Congrats on 100K, Tug!!!
Thomas, I think, was my first tv show that I watched. I loved it to pieces and I still do. I am sad of what the show has become over the years, but I am entirely grateful for what Wilbert Awdry did for me and so many others. Thanks Wilbert!
I have always loved trains and Thomas and friends has always had a special place in my heart. Even though I did “grow out of it” I eventually did come back to it. I couldn’t be more grateful for the books the show and the community for being a huge part of my childhood and my life as a whole. love all of ya’ll ❤️
Thomas was a major part of my childhood. Like everyone here, and I am constantly fascinated by the fandom’s work. To original stories, music, and model work. Forty years, and the fandom never dies.
I’m 14 I got introduced to Thomas and friends by the HIT/nitrogen era and even though it’s Flawed in many ways, I still look back and watch these episodes fondly because Of the and the stories and characters I can relate to and I wouldn’t change that for anything no matter how old I grow I would always love Thomas
40 years of a show that changed the world forever. The little blue train that began life from the books to television screens around the world. Our number 1 engine, Thomas the Tank Engine. This was a lovely video Nic, so glad that you make these amazing videos.
40 years man, as for me being a little kid and now a full grown adult Thomas has many generations to come. I have been to one of these Day Out with Thomas events at the NC Transportation Museum in Spencer and Tweetsie Railway in Blowing Rock, North Carolina gosh Memories will never forget. Happy 40th Anniversary Thomas! and Thank you for being a friend. 💙🚂
Man without Thomas and Friends I don’t think my life would be the way it is now. Thank you to all the wonderful people who worked on this show and made my childhood what it is today. Happy 40th Anniversary to TTTE and Friends
One of my first exposures to your channel was your Never Never Never Give Up music video, and ever since then, I never thought much of it and your channel other than “that video was great :)” Now here I am, supporting you and getting excited for what video you bring next, Keep up the good work Tug, and here’s hope the charm of Thomas(Your ugly fizz is enough to frighten anyone!), will make its grand return :)
Thomas the tank engine has not only changed my life but many others. I’m thankful to be apart of a wonderful Community where we can have events where us Thomas fans can meet up and show how much of a fan we are of not just that lovable tank engine himself but it’s entire progress to get to where it is now. It first started off with a little book with talking engines but with that one small change that made Thomas get to where it is. And be on a look out for a project of mine. It’ll be one helluva ride 😉
I remembered the first time seeing Thomas, when I was 3 in 2007 when it was still on PBS at that time, I've watched episodes from the classic era as well too for nostalgia. The series has inspired me to know what steam trains are. I was glad to have watched the series. Happy 40th Anniversary to TTTE!
Man you spoke for everyone who got hooked onto trains and any other hobbies or work involving them , I would never be able to describe the way you did in this wonderful masterpiece of a video , sincerest thanks
Fantastic Video Tug. Thomas has been with me my whole life as well. I remember watching it on PBS kids in 2004 and I was hooked. Thomas also helped me enjoy looking at steam locomotives. My personal favorite places to see trains were a train restaurant where the train delivered food to you and the museum of science and industry in Chicago. There is a model train layout that is huge. So, just like tug said, Thank you Thomas! Thank you so much. Thomas we(the fandom) love you and thank you for everything you’ve been with us through. -HR126
I think we can all agree that,no matter how bad the Thomas and friends franchise gets,we will always have the classics to enjoy and remind us why we became fans of Thomas the tank engine in the first place 🥰🥰 Happy 40th anniversary to Thomas the tank engine and congratulations on 100,000 subs,Tug! You've MORE than earned it! 😎🐐
Tugs, unlike most essay youtubers, your not super negative, your dont rant 95% of the time, you dont make me think life is horrible and that i should end it all, and thats why i like you You make me feel happy, and proud of we have, thanks tugs and thank you thomas the tank engine and his friends for all the childhood memories we had
This might just be one of my favorite videos that you've ever uploaded, Tug. Hearing your history with Thomas was so fascinating, and it really amazes me how far you've come since then. The way you talked about the characters and what each of them represent made me appreciate them more. The way you brought up real steam engines made me realize that I came to be a sort of railway enthusiast myself BECAUSE of Thomas, the way you brought up filming with models and remaking what you see, it inspired me as a kid to play with my trains and do whatever with them, and I remember filming "Something in the Air" with my mother with Take-Along models in my room when I was really little. You brought up how the show made a career for you, and while I would really like to do the same with my content, I agree that the show inspired me to take that next step to potentially turn my hobby into a living. I can also agree that I have made many friends who also like Thomas as well, and I like talking with all of them and spending time with them all, and the fact that the show has brought not just me and my friends together, but so many OTHERS together, is just really wholesome. And the ending with the "Thank You For Being a Friend" song playing in the background nearly made me tear up. It made me proud to be a Thomas fan for as long as I've been one, as the show has touched my heart as well, and it solidified that I will always be one for the rest of my days. Congratulations on 100,000 subscribers. You definitely deserve it man.
This is going to be something special. Thomas is one of the most influential shows of my childhood and I’m so glad to be apart of this fandom. Happy 40th, Thomas, and the same to you, Tug.
Y'know, thomas and friends changed my life too, i would always play with my thomas toys back then, i would keep my thomas toys for the good ol' times in the box, and since i have autism, i would watch the hit era a bit since it appears on TV, but some years later, i found out about the RWS and TVS, i began to love it a lot, and this where i, or should i say we all are here today, thank you britt allcroft, thank you david mitton, most importantly, thank you wilbert awdry for this fantastic series from the very beggining, i will always love thomas and friends and beyond, and i know you all will too.
My childhood would've never been what it was without Thomas the Tank Engine, I owe this show so much, I would always love watching it on PBS Kids or putting a dvd in my dvd player. Thank you for being the biggest part of my whole childhood And thank you for being a friend
Thomas has been part of my childhood and I never stop watching it and rewatch the show. Thomas the tank engine has a holds special place in my heart and inspiration too. Watching the show having the toys as a kid at the living room or at my basement I think it was around 2-4 years old I saw the show and use to have tomy wooden railway and take along. Happy 40th anniversary Thomas and friends.
I still remember when I got my first Thomas dvd. I had only watched the show briefly when it came on tv but I was in love. I can’t believe how long it’s been 🥺
Thomas is undoubtably the single most important part of my childhood, Power Rangers being a very close second. Growing up with Asperger’s and the struggles that come with it, this single franchise helped me with the verbal/nonverbal skills I was lacking and taught me life lessons no other show could do without blatantly stating the morals. From a big Wooden Railway collection to a huge amount of VHS/DVD releases as well as the giant RWS book, I really don’t know where I would be today. My entire life may have turned out much differently had it not been for this little blue engine and his many friends. Thank you, Tug, for posting this and bringing us Thomas fans a little closer together.
I don’t remember when I got into Thomas. But I’ll always remember being a little kid watching the show and collecting the various toys. Even as a 20 year old man, Thomas still holds a special place in my heart. Happy 40th anniversary Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends.
Can we all agree that Mattel is the best and worst thing to happen to Thomas? Also, your videos got me into Thomas. I watched Magic Railroad as a kid, but don't remember watching the actual show at that age. When I graduated from high school, I had a boring month where I was home alone for most of the day, so I watched a lot of UA-cam videos. I got into the edgy "Sodor is a facist dystopia" fan theories, which led me to "Unanswerable Thomas Questions".
Thomas changed the lives of so many kids and adults, gave them a great childhood and became a friend. Thank you Thomas for getting me through tough times.
Imagine being a kid, and a new show about a blue train shows up. You think nothing of it, but want to watch every episode once they come out. Being a kid back then would’ve been legendary. I forgor to do a video for this but damn I’m excited for it!
That ending honestly made me cry as I walked home from work. Made me think of my own story. I was 2-3 years old. I honestly don't know how I remember this at such a young age! So weird how I was intelligent enough at that age to spot a strange blue box behind my grandmas dressing table. I move her little red stool out of the way and pull out the cat litter to find a box with some faded image of a blue engine with a face? Naturally, I knew what steam engines WERE- as concept. Big things that pull big things. But I had never seen Thomas before. So I drag it out and call my grandad, who takes it down to the kitchen to open it. It was a TOMY set. Must have discovered an early Christmas or Birthday present of sorts. But I remember the set. "Thomas big set"- a simple name. It came with Thomas, Annie, Clarabel, Bulgy and Ffarquar station- with road and bridge pieces and a green tunnel. All things I still own now, lying around in either my grandmas or mothers house. But I had never seen Thomas before then. But I became obsessed. Finally my parents knew what to buy me. And one train set turned into too much! I had the docks, the yellow station with Harold flying about. I had water towers and tunnels and coaling plants, farmer Mccols farm, and when Trackmaster took over- I had misty Island sets, DOTD sets, I just seemed to absorb thomas into every factor of my life. I still have all my Take-a-long and Take-n-plays. Metallic shiny engines like Duck, Diesel, Nevile and Spencer. Special ones like D199, Culdee, Lady, D10... I still have my only 2 wooden railway engines: Fergus and Jack Frost Percy. And my only ERTL: Diesel. And here i am today, 18 years old. Making thomas covers on my YT channel for Roblox games and other stuff. God, I just wish I got more work to spread my music. Thats my one regret, not having enough reach. But through days where I've been happy and smiling, going to see the live Thomas play in the city centre when it came around. To sad days, getting Covid or breaking up with my Ex- there was always comfort in the little blue engine show where all his friends insulted eachother. My Girlfriend cant stand Thomas. But she puts up with it- for me. She even took me to the National Railway museum to see The Flying Scostman. Shes a treasure. I've never met you guys, but through a silly train show, I'd like to say: Thank you for being friends. Heres to many more tracks, to the greatest of destinations.
Ok, I admit it, I’m cried at the end🥲 Tug, your video was truly beautiful and inspiring. I was captivated by your whole story. It’s amazing how this cheeky little blue train brought us all together. I’m now more than eager when the time is right to share my story. Wonderful, wonderful job!
TTTE was the show that marked my life the most and millions of others, including you Tug! And were all grateful for it stories, characters, world-building and fandom in general, my favorite TV show of all time, and probably for millions of others.
I was born in 2002 the year Season 6 was airing. And I will say that I’m glad I grew up during the Classic Era. Happy 40th anniversary to one of the greatest shows out there today.
40 years of this little blue talking train, wow This video almost brought a tear to my eye. Hearing your story and how Thomas has had an influence on not only you, but the fandom. I always thought about what my life would be like if I never got into Thomas, and this video really made me sort of reflect on myself. Thank you Thomas and thank you Tug for making this awesome video, Cheers
This was such a heartwarming video to watch. I live in Florida and Hurricane Milton is approaching as we speak. I was in the middle of my final hurricane prep and stopped to watch this and it was such a calming and nostalgic video to watch and remind me why this TV series has touched my heart so much. Thank you for this.
When I was a kid, I would always watch TTTE on PBS at my grandparents house. I was hooked from the start, I think what also did it for me was my grandfather's love of steam engines (QJ fans represent) and a plethora of documentaries. Getting back into model railroading has boosted my appreciation for seasons 1-5 of the show. There's so much attention to detail it's admirable and something I want to strive for once I have the space and money. I've been watching your channel for 4 years tug, your videos helped to bring back memories and form new ones though your channel, thank you for sharing and here's to 200k and beyond!
My very first introduction to “Thomas & Friends” has always been the VHS titled ‘Races, Rescues & Runaways’. Without that exposure, I wouldn’t have a personal favorite home media release, a show to watch on TV daily, several Thomas-related birthdays and a new passion for art. Happy 40th anniversary to our really useful engine and best of luck with your future content, Mr. Unlucky Tug!
I relate to this in so many ways. As a kid I ADORED Thomas the Tank Engine more than any other show. One of my core childhood memories was going to the Day Out with Thomas event in Alabama and riding on the train with my mom. She pointed to different surroundings and associated them with places or things in the show and it made it very special. I couldn't have been older than 3 or 4 at the time. I also agree that the older seasons of Thomas are the best. Seasons 1-7 are probably the seasons that stuck with me the most, and they made such an impact on me as a lad. I'm now nearly 22 and I still find myself fascinated with Thomas.
And thank you for being a friend!

Thomas is incredibly special, and for all of the controversy of recent years, the criticism comes from a place of love. Today’s kids, more than ever, need media that is designed to be something they can cherish and learn from, not slop that preys on their attention with no regard for their well-being. We pay respect to Wilbert Awdry and his son Christopher Awdry as well as Britt Allcroft thank you Wilbert for creating the blue tank engine
Christopher for continuing your father’s legacy and Britt Allcroft for making this show so that way we got a bigger fandom then we would have had thank you three creators three legends.🫡
"And Thomas began to cry" 😢--
I was born with severe hearing impairment, and underwent 12 surgical operations by the time I turned 10 so I could continue hearing what everyone was saying around me.
Can you still hear now
I genuinely almost started crying when Thank you for being a friend started.
That’s so cool and rest in peace to ur grandpa 🪦🕊️
My Grandad was a church minister and introduced me to the Railway series books. Watching interviews of Awdry I see soo much of my Grandad's personality in him. Every time I read the stories to my own kids, I am transported back 30 years or so to him reading them to me, with that same soft spoken, "church man" storytelling approach.
Why do these comments have to be so sad 😭😭😭😭
Seasons 1-4 and 5 literally are all I watch because that’s really the gold. That’s what Thomas and the others really are: realistic.
Came for the Season 5 modelwork, respectful dialogue, and incredible soundtrack.
Stayed for the original books that will continue to stand the test of time.
Thanks for reinvigorating and rediscovering my love for Thomas again Tug!
40 whole years. Thomas & Friends has come a very long way. In spite of it's numerous ups and downs, the franchise still holds close to our hearts. Happy anniversary, Thomas. Thank you for being a massive part of our lives. 💙
“the engines’ faces didn’t move”
I have never understood people using this as a criticism of the show.
It's crazy to think that Thomas & Friends is now older than The Railway Series was when T&F started! For the record, TRS was 39 in 1984.
Oh dang
Holy moly.
Never realized that
Yea. Last year T&F was as old as The Railway Series was when T&F started airing
btw, incorrect abbreviation, its the rws
I used to be scared of Thomas in my kid years, but overtime I grew to love the show and I'm glad I did.
Thomas has been there since my childhood and really don't think I would be who I am without this little blue engine. Thank you Thomas, Keep chugging along
The show used to scare me as a kid. Especially James’ angry face. But I stuck with the show and it is still my favorite to this day.
40 years of an alternate world we all love to escape to. Here's to hoping that future generations get to experience it.

@@mayoroicjre Henry is not allowed to escape lol
Haha, those people who just hate Sodor’s Legend of the Lost Treasure because of Topham being mad at Thomas have started reminding me of the those who claim that Thomas is authoritative.
Oh boy, do I want to live in a world where engines crash through my wall every day and nearly kill my family!
Thomas & Friends was a BIG part of my childhood and is part of the reason why I love trains

This is the perfect ending to video, and nothing feels better than listening to the song at the end and laying down on my bed with the window open and the night breeze gently blowing through the leaves and hearing the cricket sing on this nice cool fall night.
Good night, and have a good one.
We all must Thank Thomas For Being everyone’s friend over the years
Thomas shaped my life, when i was young toddler and quickly became my childhood hero and the symbolism of my life. He still does even when i'm 18 years old. Thomas made in impact on my life and he always will. Happy 40th Anniversary to my biggest childhood piece.
It's crazy to think that today marks the 40th anniversary since Thomas and Gordon came out but NEXT YEAR marks the 80th anniversary of the whole sires
It just blows my mind
The closer we get towards the 2030s and 40s, more interesting works of the past century will emerge into the public domain that, hopefully, can produce thoughtful and creative content (not the bad horror products et. al.)
I succinctly remember the 60th anniversary of the series, but man, time is coming over to 80, 90, and I hope there’s something grand planned for a full 100th birthday celebration in 2045 (assuming we’re all around by then).
Aside from that, this series is incredible and a great introduction to world building, English culture, and railway production.

And a very special Thank You for being an inspiration

Beautiful video Tug.

That brought tears to my eyes. Thank you thomas for being a friend and happy 40th anniversary and happy 160th birthday skarloey and tallyln
I've never met you guys, but through a silly train show, I'd like to say:
Thank you for being friends. Heres to many more tracks, to the greatest of destinations.
Ok, I admit it, I’m cried at the end🥲

The final bit of this video was amazing Tug, it’s really great showing all these different eras together, highs and lows.
I think I had that VHS too. Man, that was epic.
An Absolutely Superb Tribute, Here's to 40 Years of Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends!
