If you’re someone who frequents in shiny hunting, always have a False Swipe and Sleeper/Paralyser Pokémon. This would’ve helped with catching it in your preferred ball, and also not waste turns waiting for that Parish Song to potentially ruin your catch. It’s still crazy to get it 2nd encounter so congrats on that! I wish I can have crazy luck like that.
You are very right! I did have my gallade there which is my main false swipe user but I didn't have it at the front of my party; I should have utilized it much sooner! always good to remember TuT and tank you very much, I wish you luck on a fast hunt for yourself soon! ^_^
Congrats!!!! My fastest shiny hunt encounter in sword was Wooloo at 17 encounters full odds and in scarlet was haunter, after making a sandwich, it was the first haunter that spawned 😂🥰🥰
For hunts like this one, I would use an alternate false swiper: Pangoro. It gets taunt to prevent status moves that self KO and it gets scrappy as its hidden ability to hit ghost types with false swipe! Also, for the varying weather in sword and shield, I'd give it rain dance for those sandstorm and hail spawns that aren't immune to those effects. Pangoro isn't usually people's pick for a false swipe Pokémon, but it has its moments!
Ooh I don't think I've personally seen anyone utilize pangoro in this way for shiny hunting! Thank you very much for the advice! I didn't even realize it could learn false swipe so that is good to know! ^_^
@@buttercupxo I think it's because pangoro doesn't get any moves that can inflict a status condition. Most people probably want sleep or paralysis and the only ways pangoro gets to do that are things like body slam where it's just a chance of status and, of course, unwanted damage. Pangoro also isn't in a lot of generations only being in 6, 7, and 8.

Do you know if you have any?
