Wait they bundled the Wii with a music CD and the console can't play music CDs? This is amazing, I just love when companies do insane things like this.
They also included the tutorial for Mario Galaxy 2 on a separate disc. Which was a DVD and couldn't be played on the Wii as well.

It never ceases to amaze me that Scott isnt content with a screenshot and almost always had the actual box, game, system or whatever else, often SEVERAL just for a split second bit, I love the commitment.

It is a crime that you weren’t nominated for best content creator at the game awards. Entertaining, funny, and makes pretty generic parts of gaming genuinely fun to learn about. 10/10 UA-camr.
The Game Awards are too busy bribing Spawn Wave and a bunch of other smooth brains to call their show a "pretty fun night", even if people hate the show.

The PS5 pack-in, Astro's Playroom, is honestly great. Loads of fun and pretty replayable. It's a short game, but it's an easy platinum trophy and does a great job at showing off what the PS5 and its new controller can do.
And it feels like a little love leftter to playstation history, as well.

Last holidays I had to buy the god of war ragnarok bundle to get my hand on a ps5. A game I have zero interest. Paying like $50 more for "nothing" is very irritating. On top of that, it was just a code and not a physical copy so harder to resell.

13:02 This literally happened to me. For this Christmas, I was buying a Switch for my sister but the *only* switch I could find ANYWHERE was the Animal Crossing switch. My sister doesn't like Animal Crossing and I know that because she never played the dsi one that she had, and after searching for forever I ended up just buying the OLED version instead because there wasn't any regular switches anywhere.

I actually did get the Xbox 360 bundled with Forza 4 and Skyrim! It was awesome since my parents were strict with video games. This way I didn't have to go buy Skyrim and then write a college final essay to convince them it wasn't remotely an adult game besides the blood. They just saw me play it and were like "That's a neat game," and then we all moved on with our lives. It was really nice. I might not have played it until way later had it not been for that bundle.
When I bought my ps4, believe or not, it was just for playing Minecraft. I bought a bundle that came with three controllers and CoD BO3. I didn't know the game till I bought and now I'm grateful that I bought it. It introduced me to the CoD franchise and I still play it auntie today

my parents bought me the 'kung fu panda/ lego indiana jones xbox 360 bundle' for christmas after my first console red ring'd. As a hardcore gamer at the time who would never have bought these games any other way, I was suprised with how much fun they were.
The first system I ever got was the turquoise-white 2DS/Mario Kart 7 bundle. It really was an amazing pack-in game.
Console bundles, no matter if they're official or some third party mess, are honest-to-God excellent deals.
I'm glad they exist, despite their problems.

I can't find pictures of it online but way back when I bought my Gamecube in a bundle at Costco in the best bundle. It came with the Gamecube, an extra memory card, a second controller, pluh Smash Bros, the Smash Bros guidebook, and Luigi's Mansion. Probably one of the best bundles I've ever seen but it seems to be non-existent on the Internet. Only pictures of the standard console, memory card, and controller bundle Costco had.
In Europe I got the game cube bundle that contained Mario cart and the Zelda collectors edition which had ocarina, majoras and master quest on it.
Single player and multi player fun for infinite hours. Best bundle in my book.
But the smash bundle is also dope. I still play melee competitively to this day.

My first bundle was the N64. I was 5 and my parents got the Mario 64& F-ZeroX bundle. Two classics to start with. I loved that thing. Lol
I consider myself to be something of a Peggle expert. It’s my favorite game. I find Peggle 2 to be a stain on the good name and brand of Peggle. It’s recent representation in now three (3) Scott the Woz videos is truly sickening.

I agree. The mobile game is also an abomination. Honestly just make a new peggle that does the same thing as the first game but with new levels and I'll be happy. No need to change the artstyle or music drastically, just imitate the first game.

Your definition of the best game in a bundle is spot on! One of my bundles matched that definition it was the N64 Goldeneye Bundle and included N64, Golden controller, and Goldeneye game.
I remember getting my brand new Nintendo 3DS bundled with Fire Emblem Awakening. I loved that game
Console bundles were the reason my parents were ever interested in buying systems for me, oh the Wii comes with Wii Sports now we’re talking. They also made for a fun afternoon until I got bored and wanted more.
The one bundle I got in my life was a base Xbox one with three (it gets worse) games. The games were Ori and the blind forest, gears of war ultimate edition, and... Rare replay. For those who don't know, rare replay is a collection of most of rare's games. So you're not just getting 3 games, it's 32 games! Talk about an insane bundle, I'm surprised Scott didn't mention it.

I remember when my friends got an Xbox, we would pop in Rare Replay and try to beat Banjo Kazooie, Conker's Bad Fur Day, and that one ghost game. I also remember we wanted to play Banjo Tooie, but we couldn't figure out how to download it.

I remember one Christmas getting my PS3 bundled with Infamous and NHL 2009. as any child would be, I was ecstatic to play both games.
The only console bundle I've ever gotten was when my parents got our family a wii u with splatoon and smash bros pre-downloaded. This was also my first video game console ever, so I had no idea how to play either game.
I never noticed how rich Scott and his parents were to be able to buy all these bundles.

My mom actually got the NSMB2 3DSXL for me for Christmas in 2014. It was the first 3DS I owned, and I actually had some enjoyment out of a game I probably wouldn't have played otherwise.

I bought the Diamond & Pearl Special Edition DS Lite as a kid without realizing it didn't come with the game. It did come with a short animation on a DVD though! To tie in with Pokemon Mystery Dungeon of course.
I had the same issue with the Pokémon X/Y 3DS, and this was at a time when bundles were cheap and plentiful. At least you could get Super Mario 3D Land as a free download with it.

I got my DS Lite bundled with an exclusive version of Nintendogs. I loved that game to death. Probably the best DS bundle after Mario Kart.

It felt like in the early days of consoles, Console Bundles drove a lot of sales for systems, particularly because of the smart choices the makers made for which games to bundle, particularly the pack-in titles.
One of the big reasons for the NES's success was it being bundled with Super Mario Bros, Super Mario Bros. + Duck Hunt, and Super Mario Bros. 3 at various points during its run.
Then SEGA came along with Sonic the Hedgehog and ran away (pun intended) for a while with a massive success, Altered Beast, Sonic 1, Sonic 2, Streets of Rage 2, The Lion King, Vectorman, and other high-quality popular titles on the system.
Nintendo hit back hard with Super Mario World, Super Mario All-Stars, Super Mario All-Stars+Super Mario World, Donkey Kong Country, Super Mario Kart, Killer Instinct, and Street Fighter II (in the UK).
And then there was the perfect marriage: Game Boy and Tetris Bundle. No other game system in human history achieved success to the degree the Game Boy did with the ability to play one of the most universally popular and addictive games on the go. The handheld wars of the 90s were pretty much determined right there and then. Ain't no way the Game Gear, Atari Lynx, and the Turbo-Graphics Express were going to be able to compete with that.
Idk if anyone else has noticed this, but I love how much the lighting has improved since Scott first moved into his new studio. Looked way too blown out when he first shot videos in it, this looks way more natural. Good work!

Worth mentioning that some of this stuff isn't all that hard to find despite being 'limited'. Mario 3D All-Stars can still be found in many stores (including online) despite being nearly 8 months past the end of its distribution. And I don't think that's because nobody bought it, either. Think it was one of the Switch's top sellers for a bit when it first came out lol
Literally everyone got pissy about this practice for no reason because by the time August came around no one cares because literally everyone who was going to buy the game at some point already got it 2-3 months ago which was still like a 2 month period after it first came out.
No one waits 9 months before buying a game they want and people who can't get it in that time should worry about fixing their income first and not Mario games.

That Mario Kart DS bundle was my first ever console! My parents got it for me one Christmas and I remember really loving it. They got me Nintendogs along with it and I think I pretty much never played Mario Kart, but it came with a few themed stickers and a wrist strap. I think it came with a case too, but I’m not sure.

9:45 I actually have that 3DS + NSMB2 bundle, and it took me months to me figure out what the DLC content that came included even was lol. But it was worth it, I already loved the other NSMB games and I needed a new 3DS, plus that one looks really nice.
I also have it. The design is very nice, and NSMB2 was enough to keep me busy until I was able to get an actual game.

My dad just went into the hospital today it was a very traumatic sight and I'm just here to say thanks scott, your videos help take my mind off things.

Heyyyy I had that one in the corner, the bundle with lego batman and pure but it was one of the white consoles. I guess it was such a good combo that they made different versions
