Barrett always came off as an ass. His wife was just as pretentious.
@@905JimRaynorif true that’s horrible
They're also both proven liars who have made false claims about certain people.
@@ndwknss the thing thats so crazy to me is that because someone didnt like him they not only banned him from his fav game but from his livelihood. Even if there was some mutual disagreement, he never deserved all that. If cb didnt like him he should have punched him and been done with it. Not that.
Ill be honest, it feels like your comments about Lono miss a lot of information.
It doesnt have to change your mind, but its well worth looking over again.
Absolutely, well said.
I noticed he’s like why would anyone apologize and admit what happened in a video and then delete it and deny it after
As I recall sntr never admitted anything and he apologized for making people feel uncomfortable with some poorly tasted jokes.
Sntr lost a lot more that a lot of people who have done much much worse. He’s no saint but man he got crushed for basically having poor social skills.
@dennylafoss Yeah, I remember the videos pretty well. He was apologizing for making people feel uncomfortable. In fact, a lot of the stories that had come out against him he later showed that he had apologized to them before any of this stuff came out and he didn't bother them again after that.
It's just not fair to keep calling someone a scumbag based on stories when there also actual facts laid out on the table that should at least be seen and considered.
@@pixlexiathefoxtrue vanguard is a piece of shit. It's pointless to try and rationalize people like him

Love your content TV, big fan, but i would STRONGLY advise you watch the Upper Echelon Gamer video on the SNTR subject. I dont think Lono is 100% innocent, but he sure as 💩 isnt 100% guilty either.
He won’t watch any of the videos or do his due diligence because he’s already firm on his position and if he changes his mind, it would just make him look bad
So Chris and his wife throwing stones glass houses something something. Reap what you sow
You were probably better off not making this video.
Nah it showed me exactly who to ban from the channel. Vitriolic ppl don’t need a place here. The ones that politely disagreed are totally fine by me.
I agree with what you are trying to say but if we dont know, keep an open mind? Do we have receipts, as far as we know it was one somewhat inconsistent girl and SD? The white knighting with no empathy in a muddy situation was insane.
The thing is TV, that it has been proven that the people involved lied, exaggerated details, their stories never matched, stories switch constantly, deleted tweets when evidence came up.
While Lono stayed consistent, showed evidence, upperechelon even proved that some of the points that the people involved made never matched with one another.
Hell even Paul tassi was caught lying in his response towards people, how are you still defending this?@@TrueVanguard
Lol Jason Schreier and good journalism. Never thought they would be used together
I don't know man... I've always enjoyed your more neutral-positive take on things, but you come off more sympathetic towards a man fired for serious investigation-backed allegations and yet very dismissive about the coordinated ruination of a man's livelihood with a whole lot of murky and suspect details in the mix - who, when confronted apologized and made positive efforts to do better rather than hide from or intimidate people into silence. Especially considering this one was close to the center of the whole debacle, and his wife was basically coordinating the effort?
I distanced myself from discord servers/groups and from a lot of streamers I thought I respected after that. I get it, support your "friends", but sometimes being a friend means you call them on their BS too.
No rationalizing with this clown. Call him out on Twitter and he just blocks you. Waaaaaaaah TV
While the other guy may have been in the wrong, Barrett going through this along with his wife does seem like the old ‘what goes around comes around’.
I thought the Lono mentions were surrounding how hard Sarah Daniels went after him, when the irony in the situation is that her husband was just as bad. I haven't really seen anyone justifying Lono's actions or anything but I may have missed those posts.

All those blue haired woke MeToo employees at Bungie and it took four years to get rid of him? I would’ve thought after the first few unwanted invites to play truth or dare fun time with big Barry accusations, he would’ve been chased out with pitchforks
Good video overall, but the information about Saynotorage / Reforge gaming might be misleading / out-dated. Other than that, it's good that the truth about Christopher Barrett is coming to light.
Thanks for disagreeing without making threats or being a jerk. I appreciate that.
Keep virtue signaling Bungie. You’re doing great
Liana Ruppert made a tweet a few days ago with something along the lines of "the truth eventually comes to light"...
I legit remember this tweet.... 😮
I wonder if she was one of the women that came forward to talk to Jason Schreier. I'm sure it was a majority people that were laid off
They fired the last straight guy at Bungie 😂😂 Joke aside Sony paid 3.6 billion for trash thinking it was a serious studio
Seems like this situation hits differently when the person is connected to you.
If a person is a dirtbag, regardless of connection, they are a dirtbag. How we talk about “known” people vs “unknown” people is an interesting psychological exercise. Specifically it’s interesting when we will make concessions for the known person and find reasons to continually shame the not “personally connected” person for similar actions (civil or legal). Yes people have their opinions about things, but where is the consistency? Can we admit that we are bias?
Also, since TV bought it up, I think it’s important to note the United States does not have a perfect track record legally in prosecuting people, “yes there are times when people admit to doing things that they did not do”. There are a number of reasons why people would admit guilt in such situations, for example coercion. Perhaps the person feels a certain level of undue guilt that is not related to specific charges, or maybe just maybe people in emotional moments don’t always make the best decisions. People get offered plea deals and are made to believe this is the best course of action, to plead out to avoid worse consequences. I guess what I’m saying is that, we need to expand our perspective, and consider everything within a situation, including our biases before calling for fire and brimstone for the “unknown person”, and casually talking around the whiskey cooler about our old PVP buddy.
Kudos to TV for covering this and putting him self on those train tracks, because he didn’t need to do the video detailing that connection. I’m sure someone else would have, but consistency in how we talk about “dirtbags” needs to be shored up here. What about that old mantra “just because we have the freedom to speak, does not mean we should speak”.
So just like TV has his perspective so to do I. My perspective is society needs to be better at being consistent with its takes on “dirt baggery”.
People should have been giving him a hard look when he married a D2 streamer half his age.
@@coiltap6491 He W H A T
@@Silencersix maybe not half, but the age disparity is huge and obvious. He had to be early 40s and she was probably early to mid 20s when they got together.
But also just creepy because appearance wise it very much seems like he used his position at Bungie to woo her over.
I can see why this is bad but in reality it isn't as bad as what happened here. As long as he isn't pulling a Drake anyways.
@@hectornieves537 it’s not “as bad” but it’s an obvious red flag that the guy doesn’t operate in a way anyone should consider normal.
@@coiltap6491 wtf is this noise? If you're in your mid 20's you are who you're going to be, you're fully capable of making your own choices.
You could just as easily argue that she became a streamer to get close to him, and used her looks to woo him over. I've heard Sarah Daniels talk about how she doesn't need clout because she's married to Chris Barrett.
I don't even want to defend Chris Barrett, I hate the guy, way before any of you people did and for completely different reasons... but, this thing of treating people who are fully grown and functioning adults, as if they're infants because they got with someone older than them? Who the F cares!?

Embarrassing
I mean this makes Barrett look bad but BUngie doesn't? They investigated the complaints and then fired him.
Yeah kinda seems like they did exactly what they were supposed to lol
Bungie still created still an environment where that was possible.
@@missesbahatiWhile that's somewhat true, Bungie has done a lot to make sure people that do this get investigated and fired, as multiple people were fired years ago for similar things. It's not that Bungie creates the environment, it's more that given the power dynamics, it takes more for it to come to light, after which Bungie has a history of firing these people.
@missesbahati I don't think that's accurate... inappropriate behaviour comes from an individual. Anyone can do that, at any time. Doesn't need 'an environment', just one person and an abuse of power or standing. If they had done nothing, THAT is creating an environment in which that can happen. If they investigated then fired him, that's ensuring the environment DOES NOT become one in which such egregious behavior is accepted. Bingie have come in for a lot of flak recently but they yeeted the guy, not really sure how much more of a 'this is unacceptable' stamp they can put on this one.
@@missesbahatiit's not an environment some people are just trash. I work for a place that has zero tolerance for inappropriate behavior but it still happens

Barret is wrong for what he did, glad Bungie took care of it.
Who’d work in any creative industry these days? From the most serious to the most trivial act gets splashed across the world. In any work place folk just need to act professionally. It’s not difficult, well, it shouldn’t be. Let alone a system which enables inappropriate actions and does nothing to curb them
5:21 where I come from, silence is consent, and therefore they are guilty too for allowing it to happen
When people are righteous over much and too heavy handed with criticisms i always look at them worse than the people who they are accusing… in this case im right again with Barrett… disgusting behavior… none of us are perfect we all have vices but some folks vices are worse than others…

I've been around for 50 years and one thing I've learned is that power is proportionate to how much psychopathy you are afflicted with. We've seen it all before. Power makes men go mad.
Eh, I don't know that I agree with the final assertion. I see power as more of an enabler, that is to say all men possess some level of madness. While most men are adept at keeping it under wraps, the more power an individual possesses the more they can push the boundaries of their individual madness. We don't have to go far in this political cycle to see an example of a "mad individual's" power allowing them to push boundaries.
@@QuietDarkness27 maybe I was going for a dramatic effect but I agree with you wholeheartedly. Well said.
It’s got to the point that it just feels poisonous. I can’t muster the energy to play destiny, and feel bad for the good people there but the good days for destiny and bungie are over, in so many ways.
All I’ll say is the type of friend you would be if you didn’t believe everything your friends said. Is one that uses introspection. Everybody isn’t always telling the whole truth just their perspective of events. Sometimes there’s just loads of nuance that has to be accounted for. Peoples actions just aren’t black and white. Also I’m not defending anyone’s actions. Just answering that one question. Thanks for the video.
Yeah the "good guys" and righteous guys at bungie are going down 1 by 1. Wolves in sheep clothing. supposedly Barrett and his wife were married to other people when the got together. From the beginning they were sign aside from collaborating against we know who. One always stood his ground and others and dropping like flies. Maybe "friends" arent always the ppl you believe. I bet is really difficult to realize what u thought was the truth isnt. Pride and ego gets in the way.

Yeah this is no good. At my last work I was called out for saying inappropriate things to a female coworker. I didn’t mean anything by it but I didn’t realize it was wrong until she pointed it out. She was totally correct and it was a good wake up call to remember that I don’t know the lives of everyone around me and I can’t assume that words are totally harmless just because I didn’t mean any harm.
