That's pretty much all I could hear as Hill was actively going down. If any one person is the voice of reason of MMA is DJ. When he gives you fighting advice or openly cracks up when he hears your game plan you should listen!

DJ already knew what's up after having to fight Rodtang. He liked Hill's confidence, but he knew he was out of his depth in the striking. DJ is one of the best strikers to ever fight in MMA and even he had to do everything he could to just survive the muay thai round against Rodtang and make sure he makes it to next round so he can get the takedown. you gotta wrestle these kickboxers, otherwise they will fuck you up. they're elite for a reason.

@@jesusiskingofkingss The option to grapple is probably still the better option that to go toe to toe against an elite striker. They're definitely closer in skill level in grappling than pure striking. Even though striking is Hill's specialty he's still clearly not nearly on the same level as Alex.

I've had broken and dislocated toes before: broken bones bleed, which causes a broken pinky toe to triple in size almost immediately... but a dislocated one doesn't swell immediately (like his didn't).
Oh, and they explicitly talked about how they needed to pop it back into place. Dislocated, not broken.

If you think they are not that good, that indirectly makes Alex's resume look bad. Both Jamahal and Jiri are top contenders; Alex is just stylistically super bad for them.

That was a great breakdown and just proves that Arman has excellent submission defense. I think Arman is the only one who can hold his own with Islam in grappling but Islam is so much better on the feet.

He said "broke"' because English isn't his first language, so he's not going to know the semantic difference between the two. But even the least serious break (a hairline fracture) would have made that toe huge by the time he hopped over to the chair and then they yanked on it for a few and outright said it needed to be popped back in.... because it was dislocated, not broken.

When Alex got in range to throw the left hook that should have been Hill's signal to duck under and go for the take down not to stand and strike.
If he would of ducked he would of caught the shot flush that he was hit with. It wasn't a left hook it was like a quick jabbing uppercut. If you watch it back he wasn't no where close to being flush

Til this day, I can bend the toe all the way out to the side. Doesnt hurt. But if you wiggle on it, you can feel its loose.
And not much you can do with the toe either, just tape it together with the next toe.
