Claim sharks only exist because veterans is not getting the help they need with there claims.
Eliminate claims sharks get the veterans help they need with there claims.Great topic no one is talking about.
Problem is there is not enough help to help people filing a claim.VA Just don't care
Bingo. Even watching all these videos it is hard to get person to person advice that is accurate.
Excellent interview, Clay. I hope VFW continues to increase their advocacy presence and increase their training for service officers throughout the states.
More funding but we all know how that rolls

Thank you Mr Murray, Thank you Clayton.
Long awaited full episode. Had some hiccups but here it is…thank you for being a member!!

I'm curious what Mr. Murray thinks of VA Claims Academy playing into being labeled a "claim shark" while telling their viewers that VSOs will not help them with their claim because they are being paid by the VA; suggesting they are incentivized to not help at all and should choose a service such as theirs which is outcome based.
VSOs are not paid by the VA and the implication that VSOs don’t want veterans to be service-connected is the bologna-est conspiracy theory I’ve ever heard.

I'm going through this right now.
In 2013, I tested positive for a TBI and the VA in Florida screwed me. My VA medical records show a positive TBI test result but my disability is 0% for it. I contacted a private group of Veterans for help with my claim and all they have done is a Lay Statement from my ex gf and asked that I log in to the VA website so they can walk me through the claims process. It's been about six months now with no results and it was/is supposed to cost me between $5,000-$8,000. I don't remember the cost due to my TBI. What I do know is that this entire situation is f*cking ridiculous.
Maybe a younger DAV vfw American legion reps need to reach out to the nearest bases and be a part of a T.A.P.S program one well to help get BDD started and minimize claim shark hunting.
I am willing to pay for honest broker. No one talks about Veterans under severe mental health conditions that are Alone (no family and friends)... why wouldn't VSO or sharks not take advantage of you????
The VA. Let's use this as example. Secondary claim for Migraines. Evidence submitted 1.5 yrs primary doctors notes including treatment, prescriptions, and frequency (3-4 month) lost work each instance. A nexus letter stating the same. Telephone appointment with VA contracted MD, all was repeated and confirmed. What is the VAs decision? Service related at 0% due to one or less occurrence a month. This is why these claims consulting companies exist
Excellent interview
Wow clay, super interview
Hey thanks! I got behind on editing this one

What really needs to happen is for actual combat vets to be employed by the VA to help process any and all claims and ensuring all information that is vital for each of the C&P’s gets pushed to the actual C&P examiners.
They could hire X amount of combat vets per state based on the amount of vets there are that actually live within that state.
Honestly who would be better to help than the combat vets especially the ones that are having difficulty adjusting back to civilian life but still have a strong desire to help their brothers and sisters within the DOD. This in itself could be beneficial and therapeutic for these veterans.
This would fix so many issues for veterans getting real help that they need and would freeze this shark companies out
I don’t understand why you think the VA employees should be combat veterans. All veterans are eligible for VA disability depending on their circumstance everybody rating is not because of combat or a deployment. I have never been injured while deployed. My injuries actually came from just being at my unit on a normal day so I don’t see what combat veteran has to do with anything.
Thank you.
This interview was good
Trajectory, askedfor info and icon used when logging in to ebenefits
I’m confused on the pact act I served in Korea and have service connected sinusitis at 30% am I eligible for the pact act I served from 1980 to 1988
No . Starts with the gulf war from what I heard
Vietnam era and exposures outside of era
- Clay
80-88 is a no for PACT Act outside of exposures to toxins
- Clay
If the VFW wants to stop "claim sharks", it should provide similar service to vets. Right now, they are just trying to put their competitors out of business. Vets still can't get help and lose another resource. VFW spend your time, effort and resources to help Vets not to harm Vets and limit our resources.
Pact act, ? Claims for what? I signed up for it all it said is eligible for medical benefits. Which I already have.
Can you talk to a VFW person without giving them authorization to represent you?
I need to talk to someone one on one but I won’t sign that authorization form. I’ve learned a lot the last 5 months but I’m still learning.
Yes, they can still provide free advice. They simply would be unable to file claims on your behalf or represent you in matters before the Department of Veterans Affairs.
Exactly what he said ^^^
- Clay
@@greghoenig2207 If the time is right give them authorization. I've had four or five so far. My area has crap vso's. I even live in a city that has a regional VA office. There is no penalty for switching from one to the other. Just make sure you sign over authorization for the one who files for you.
Yes exposed what they are charging an how the claims sharks operate an what exactly the claims charge to complete your a claim
When is the next live?
I have no idea. This week looks packed atm

Missing audio???
Listening to this now, audio sounds good. You made freak out lol! Double check volume/bluetooth.
- Clay
Crap shoot looking for good free help with your VA a claim
Pact act, signed up still don’t understand what it’s supposed to be. Claims for what? All it said was eligible for medical benefits. Already had those.
I got 50 migraines, 40 CFS , and 10 IBS through that along with 100 ptsd . Got me a SMC for 4493.00
I just googled the list, am shocked! Had no idea these were presumptive. Didn’t see PTSD on there . I’ll look again. I do have interstitial lung disease diagnosed in 97. Chronic sinusitis also. Guess I better file a claim!
@@geilkindmachen820 no PTSD is not on there but I got it because I’ve had it for many years with documentation.
@@geilkindmachen820 what you have is definitely on the list if you’re a gulf war vet or later and were ever deployed to any of the GWOT countries .
@@johnneill5960 yes from 90-91 desert storm combat vet .
How about tell the VA to stop stonewalling the thing it should not be taking months to come back with an answer when you turn everything in. Somebody's VA hospitals are not taking care of veterans like they're supposed to and that's a fact and yes with that in toe creates a need for these other places
