Hi great video, loved watching your collection. I find dynamics with your hubby being a plant enthusiast very interesting! Love your collection. I am still learning to grow anthuriums some are in pon. But i prefer them in soil.
Thank you 😍 it’s definitely a juggle but having his own zone really helps. But when he gets the itch to buy plants it’s very dangerous because I can’t say no 😂 I haven’t tried it in pon. They love the anthurium mix.
Yay so happy to see you post this video! Beautiful stunning collection! Have only been getting into anthurium myself for past couple of months but have been bit by the bug pretty bad lol. I have a clairnervium, veitchii, queen, vittarifolium, the "fingers" one, radicans x luxurians, a silver blush & a pap hybrid. All i got as large plugs except the silver blush & pap hybrid(my 2 least fav). My veitchii is just unfurling a new leaf & luxurians x radicans is pushing one too. In your experience, do anthuriums sometimes kill off the oldest leaf when putting out a new one the way alocasia do? I ask bc ive noticed my veitchii has done that with both new leaves it has put out in my care. Have my 🤞🏻 that you will be putting out an anthurium care video soon as well bc im struggling with a few of mine. Thanks for sharing your gorgeous collection with us 💞😘
Thank you 🥰 my veitchii also did that! Non of my other anthuriums do that except that one. So I don’t think it is normal but maybe it is for that anthurium 🫣 yes I do want to make a anthurium care video once I feel a bit more confident with them. 💚
@myjunglestory good to know that your veitchii has also done the dropping a leaf thing! I don't really mind right now bc its only losing its first little baby leaves but now its starting to size up & i hope it doesn't continue with that pattern.
Here in the Netherlands the crystalinum and clarinervium are the most available in de garden centers. But, there are a lot sellers here that do send but also are on all of the markets. That's where I get my Anthuriums 😍
I order all my plants online. The only one left that I bought from either big box stores. It’s going in-the garbage. It’s hit mealies for about the fifth time and I’VE HAD IT!
Ja unfortunately the pests from garden centres can be such a pain. But you can have the same problem with ordering but the chance of that happening is a lot smaller.
I have a (so called) grocery store anthurium. It has red blooms. It it’s pupped and is really wobbly. It need a repot. It’s been in this pot for a long time. It’s tolerable. lol 😂 is Mitch your boyfriend?

I do love a veitchii. I do think these look different. I think you need to wait until they get its full characteristics before you can tell what they are.
Wow that’s a lot of anthuriums. Not as exciting as your Hoyas, though. Lol 😂. Not my cup of tea but I can see the beauty even if I can’t really see much of a difference. Some long, some round. Some dark, and most with veins.
Really beautiful collection you both have !!!🤩🤩🤩
Thank you so much 🤗
Beautiful collection!!
Thank you 🥰💚

All your plants so beautiful

@ mine was also the oldest leaves, as long as it’s the older leaves I wouldn’t worry.

Where are you from? You sound South African 😅
I was born in Belgium but most of my family is from South Africa 😆

It’s definitely a veitchii, mine just looks a bit funny because I’ve not been giving it the best conditions, until now.
@Plantsbymelissa she swears by cal-mag to stop the long strappy leaves from coming in twisted and crunchy.
Yes I have heard of that. Want to give that a try.

Yes a lot of them look the same to be too but that’s where anthurium lovers go insane 😆 hoyas are definitely higher on the favourites list 😍
Dark foliage doesn’t do it for me. Any other plants like Hoyas on your wish list.
I am going to be making a wishlist video for 2025. Lots of Hoya!
@ I watch a couple guys that talk mostly about Hoyas. @soberplantguy and @plantedinrhodeislandd
