Welcome to Episode 173 of the Golf Show!
Everyone knows the Tour Pros work out, so here's a question - why don't you if you want to play better golf?
We suspect part of the answer would be not having easy or affordable access to golf specific fitness coaching and equipment. Well in that case... in this episode Paul visits a fantastic purpose built gym near Sheffield and Chesterfield in the UK that does just that. Where they will build you a work out plan specific to your needs, that you can do remotely. They also have treatment rooms for their Sports Therapists to help injured golfers get back out on the course. Can you guess what the most common golf ailment is?
In the episode Paul's 16 year old son Zach has a fitness and mobility assessment to allow the Personal Trainers to create a bespoke golf fitness plan for him that can be managed via an App, which contains his programme and guidance videos. Zach plays off 2, has great mobility and swing-speed, so why would he need a workout plan? You will be amazed at the reasons why!
With golfers wanting to play better golf for longer, surely this kind of facility is key to the future of golf.
