    Everyone is saying OnePlus 12 is a powerhouse that doesn't have AI, it does, SD 8 Gen 3 SOC has AI built in. All OnePlus has to use is utilize it.

      Indeed, AI is baked in the cake with the chipset. If 1 + chooses to they can simply include some AI features in an update. Although, AI is still in its infancy so, I really don't see it as a priority. Once more, even the AI features that Samsung and Google are offering are pretty rudimentary. I think they were smart in focusing on bringing the best Android device possible to the marketplace.

      There are articles out today saying that the OnePlus 12 variants in China are getting updates very soon that are adding a few AI features already, and these updates are expected to roll out to the global versions within time. In my eyes this is a win and just a bonus to the already awesome flagship phone, the OnePlus 12 that can be purchased at a value price. I think I will trade in my Samsung S21 ultra and get the OnePlus 12. I held onto my S21 ultra because I don't like the square brick the Ultras have become. I also prefer a lighter skin like Pixel, Motorola & OnePlus, Samsung's heavy skin with duplicate apps drives me nuts and so does Bixby. I will keep my Pixel 7 as well, and trade it up once Google starts utilizing TSMC chips and a better modem.

      @@stacyanderson1593 just be aware, OnePlus also has twin apps. Usually, it's the Google version and the OnePlus version. However, all you really have to do is go into app settings and disable them. They won't even show up in the app drawer.

    OnePlus phones like 8T, 11 and 12, feel so nice in the hands "Ladies You Know the Procedures" For example, I'll use Pixel 8 Pro for a week, switch to OnePlus 11 and it feels so nice in the hands, I do have the Black Sandstone case, but it hugs the phone tight, so still feels nice. Also, it's so nice to unplug the OnePlus 11 early morning, use it a little, sit all day and come back and still at 100% even after 1-2 hours of occasional use. Pixel 8 Pro, after a few min of looking at it, drops 1% lol. I love both phones, just OnePlus is so nice. Hope OnePlus 12 will be as nice. It has a lot of fast cores, but the 5400ma battery is awesome.

    Would be good to get my opinions as i buy every flagship from the global and Chinese market so no OnePlus 12 is not even top 5 Android devices this year so far.

    No doubt it will be a great phone, but pretty much all phones are great these days. But what's the hook? What does it do that makes it different? What's it's USP? All I'm seeing and hearing is specs atm

    • @marcochavanne
      @marcochavanne 5 місяців тому +2

      They are smoother and snappier than most Androids.
      But the whole is greater than the sun of its parts.
      All the specs they mentioned translates to a great experience.
      80W charging for example. If you've never experienced it before, it's just something you'll have to use to understand.
      I have bad battery anxiety, but when I have a OnePlus I don't. Not because battery life is astronomically better than everyone else's, but because if you wake up with a dead phone you won't panic anymore because you forgot to plug it in the night before.
      You'll plug it in, brush your teeth, shower, and by the time you're done getting dressed you have a full charge for the rest of the day.
      The alert slider is convenient when you're heading into a meeting with someone and don't want to awkwardly pause a conversation to get on your phone to put on vibrate.
      The UI has decent customization built in. Its UI is also pretty soothing with its animations, wallpapers, and sounds.
      Really difficult to articulate all of it, and everyone experiences the world in a different way, but it's much more than just a random phone with crazy specs.

    You guys are overthinking this for those of us to spend time outside every day and couldn't see your phone for years this is a good thing. For those of us that go running and want to see what's going on in our phone and can't see the screen this is a good thing. For those of us that ride motorcycles and want to see my navigation screen when we are driving our motorcycle this is a good thing.😂 For those of you that live inside all the time it doesn't really matter.

    I was a Samsung fan from the Note 2 to the note 9 and then they took the charger away after taking away the 3.5 mm headphone jack and when they decided to act just like apple I left Samsung for OnePlus. Advertising a high-speed charging I'm not including it in the box is BS. SAMSUNG Stopped respecting their clients. So I bought a OnePlus

    Those updates in the 5th, 6th and 7th years won't run well on old hardware. These phones will run slower. They aren't going to fully honor their commitment. They are going to go back on their word at some point.

    • @peterparker2068

      Have you even tried old tech? We have gotten so good with the hardware that can support old hardware. Just go to XDA and the custom ROM community. You can flash newer OS onto old devices and they run fine. I was able to flash Android 12 on an old Nexus 7 2013. Depending on what hardware you’re running, if you are using a flagship phone within the last couple of generations, then you should have a great experience. It’s the same cycle computers went through. Average upgrade cycles used to be every year, but now people are holding out longer and longer. There was an acerated advancement in the tech used in smartphones like there was in PCs. Now people don't upgrade their own personal PC or laptops for several years. Unless you are using your devices for professional use and need the latest and greatest hardware, most people will be able to perform tasks with older hardware. My MacBook Pro 15" from 2012 is still able to do things I want it to do; I upgraded the SSD and RAM, of course. My Note 20 Ultra from 2020 has better benchmark scores compared to a lower midrange Motorola 5G Stylus 2023 with the newer Snapdragon 6 Gen1 chipset. The experience is still great. I also still have in rotation an old Galaxy S8+ which was released in 2017. I use it mostly as a secondary phone for basic things like checking email, watching videos, and playing some games, but it still works perfectly fine.

    Anyone who buys a $1200 flagship phone isn't going to wait 7 years to upgrade. But it may help with resale value.

    • @franklingoodwin
      @franklingoodwin 5 місяців тому +1

      I would buy a $1200 phone and wait seven years to upgrade (as long as the phone lasted that long. Not one of my phones has. You're almost guaranteed something is wrong by year 4). I only upgraded to Samsung S23 Plus from a Samsung Galaxy S23 FE because it has no OS updates left and the USB port is broken - meaning I could only wireless charge it. I'm not buying a flagship only to upgrade after a couple of years. Why would I do that? They're barely even different 3 years on...

    • @peterparker2068
      @peterparker2068 5 місяців тому +1

      I was planning to. Only reason why I am trading my Note 20 Ultra is because I will be losing security patches next year. The increased promotional trade in value, discounts and $150 credit made me jump on the offer. If I had to pay more than the $720 with taxes then I would have just held onto my phone longer.

    • @DanDelzell
      @DanDelzell 5 місяців тому

      @@peterparker2068 I'm in the same boat with my S20+. Working fine, but I can't not get security updates in the industry I work in. I couldn't justify paying $300 more for the S24+. And I'd probably upgrade the both the S24+ and the 12 before either stops getting software upgrades. For my use case going with the 12 was the easy choice.

    • @peterparker2068
      @peterparker2068 5 місяців тому

      @@DanDelzell The 12 is a great choice. I was tempted by the 12 as well. It seems like a great choice. It was hard to compete with the deal I got with Sammy. I am getting a great discount, trade in value, and instant credit. If i tried to do the same deal the 12 would only be around $80 cheaper. I love the s pen and would like to keep it. If I had to pay any more for the s24 ultra I would have just bought the 12. It's interesting that the Note 20U has a higher trade in value compared to the s21 Ultra. I would assume they aren't giving you much for your S20+.

    Well all the nice things you guys say about one plus won’t change the fact that no one wants this phone bir will the phone sell. What would be a real win for this company would controlling say 3% if the market be a big deal. I could be wrong but I think Google controls a giant 3% of the market. So with luck oneplus might sell 2 out 100 phones, Google 3 out if 100, Samsung 45 out if 100, and Apple 50 out if 100. Oneplus will continue to be all but irrelevant, would anyone be surprised if they go belly up like LG did with their phones. Think of all the high schoolers telling their friends look at my new oneplus. Lol
