Brown supposedly apologized and Yang accepted. Brown got off easy. If it was some other people, there would have been protests lawsuits etc etc. Yang should get compensated.
Found on news archive about what happened during the last election when Breed supporters hurled racial attacks at and shut down Jane Kim during a campaign appearance, also in the Fillmore. They waited until the other candidate Mark Leno left. Breed disavowed and those supporters also apologized later after much media coverage

Responding to those who asked why he apologized, because he was threatened by someone powerful, and by a guy wearing pink during the press conference on nbc11 news that he had told Yang he didn't like what yang said about the mayor and told him to cut it out. That's scary. Yang said he worried about his family safety.

There is no Accountability in American Politics anymore. It's not just San Francisco. There so many Cities in the Bay Area that have elected officials that do nothing but talk about things they are going to do or working on to improve their cities. At the same time there are no results being shown and these cities crime and homeless population keep increasing every year. You want people to stop talking bad about your city, how about improve it and make it safer for the residents living in the area.
