    Your work is always so beautiful. Thank you for sharing.
    I purchased a length of chain, for my fireplace mantle, from the hardware store to use instead of the rope. All I do is poke the branches through the links of the chain, letting a lower twig hook around each hole, and they hold nicely without having to use the wire. Of course this is for my own use, wire will possibly be needed if transporting.

      You're Welcome...... A very interesting technique, and it sounds like it works. I'll have to try this.....

    Very nice garland arrangement. The garland would be a nice addition to a fireplace mantel during the holidays with different floral. I enjoy watching your videos and have learned a great deal in floral design. I arranged a beautiful floral arrangement for my Mom on July 2, 2017 and she still raves at the beauty. She said she did not know how I did it. Many people have stated a need a floral shop.

    You make it so simple to learn! How far in advance can the garland be made?

    • @FlowerSchool
      @FlowerSchool  2 роки тому +1

      That's an excellent question, Nicole! Leanne mentioned that once the garland is done, it can be covered with a garbage bag, then placed into the cooler where it will last for several weeks. The key is using long lasting foliage that has been well hydrated so it is fresh and beautiful. Thank you very much for stopping by to watch our show today and we hope to see you again soon for more marvelous floral design with Leanne. Wishing you all the best in all that you do!

    How often do you spray it with crown and glory if you leave it in the cooler for a few weeks? Do you let it dry each time after spraying?

    • @FlowerSchool
      @FlowerSchool  7 років тому +1

      Let me clarify. Foliage only garland, spray with Crowning Glory, allow to dry completely, then bag and store in the cooler. Plan to add the flowers just before the event, give a final spray of Crowning Glory and install.

    Which would be more cost effective, a Garland or a floral runner with only greenery?

    • @FlowerSchool
      @FlowerSchool  3 роки тому

      That's an interesting question, C Kyles! It really depends on the cost of the materials you are using and the amount as well. A runner with only greenery and no flowers may be less expensive, but again it depends on the type of foliage you decide to use. A garland may cost more in materials, but may have more value added to it because the flowers take it to another level. Here are couple of shows that focus on table runners: ua-cam.com/video/IGpPAEW_2qE/v-deo.html and ua-cam.com/video/pU2Taqa1Wf0/v-deo.html Hope these help and thank you very much for watching our shows. What happens when you don't have a flower cooler?.....any other options? This has been my biggest dilemma

    • @FlowerSchool
      @FlowerSchool  3 роки тому

      What a good question, Iconic Girl! It really depends on what you need to preserve your pieces for and for how long. The key to long lasting flowers and foliage is to process them well at the beginning with clean water, flower food, and in some cases, Quick Dip and Crowning Glory too. Give the floral materials time to hydrate, and they will last longer and be beautiful. Is this for your daughter's wedding? If so, what time of year will it be held? Do you have any cool spaces in your house like a basement or a dark room? Some people even use portable ice coolers (like the kind you store food in) and add ice. If you do this, try to keep your flowers off the ice itself. Other people have used air conditioners with something called a CoolBot too. Whatever you decide to do, we hope it works well for you. Thank you again for watching our shows and we hope the wedding celebration is a huge success. Wishing you a peaceful week filled with hope and flowers!

    I’m making a table garland with peonies in water tubes. Do I need to do anything other than the water in the tubes to help them last? This is an indoor brunch so there will be AC

      A eucalyptus garland (without the flowers) should easily last for a week. The tubed blossoms are added on the day of the event.

    Hi, thank you for the tutorial...can I use about 5 floral cages on top of the 12 foot pipe and drape?

    • @FlowerSchool
      @FlowerSchool  5 років тому

      Thank you for watching! That should work. I would do a mock up to make sure your pipe and draped can support the weight. You might have to secure a board across the top to make sure the cages don't fall forward once zip tied on. Also, make sure to secure the pipe and drape with sand bags or cinder blocks. Best of luck to you!

    if you don't have crown and glory or a flower cooler, can you spritz the garland with water, then bag and store in a cool dry place instead?

    • @FlowerSchool
      @FlowerSchool  5 років тому

      Great question! Yes, you could certainly spray the garland with water, then bag and store it in a cool place.

      That's a great question, Zarahi! The other foliage that Leanne use was Oregonia, which is a beautiful way to cover your mechanics and support your flowers. How beautiful piece. If I’m a making the same exact price can I hang the garland the night before for a staircase and come the next day and add the flowers? Also what’s the name of the greenery used.
