I remember few years back after my wife died, I was left alone with 3 kids. I suffered severe depression and mental disorder. Got diagnosed with ADHD. Not until a friend recommended me to psilocybin mushrooms treatment. Psilocybin treatment changed my life for better. I can proudly say i'm totally clean for 6 years and still counting. Always look to nature for solution to tough problems, Shrooms are phenomenal.
I love hearing great life changing stories like this. I want to become a mycologist because honestly mushrooms are the best form of medicine (most especially the psychedelic ones) There are so many people today used magic mushrooms to ween off of SSRI medication- its amazing! Years back i wrote an entire essay about psychedelics. they saved you from death buddy, lets be honest here.
Hey mates! Can you help with the source? I suffer severe anxiety, panic and depression and I usually take prescription medicine, but they don't always help. Where can I find those psilocybin mushrooms? I'm really interested in treating my mental health without Rxs. I live in Australia don't know much about these. I'm so glad they helped you. I can't wait to get them too. Really need a reliable source 🙏
I'm so very happy for you mate, Psilocybin is absolutely amazing, the way it shows you things, the way it teaches you things. I can not believe our world and our people shows less interest about it's helpfulness to humanity. It's love. The mushrooms heals people by showing the truth, it would be so beneficial for so many people, especially politicians and the rich who have lost their way and every other persons out there.
My husband and I both have ADHD. I was diagnosed a few months ago. We both agree that it kind of feels like the guy in the movie Limitless. All the sudden you can focus and do things and it is definitely life changing.
Lol what if your brain is naturally slow... Wouldn't speed then normalize just sayin ASSUMING YOU ONLY TAKE THE EXACT AMOUNT YOUR BODY NEEDS FOUND OUT OVER TIME AND TRIALS USING LEGAL MEDICATIONS unlike Californians drowning in the filth of the failed war on drugs
@@JT0007 Stop recirculating that myth. Firstly, you got it wrong because the myth is that it's the same as meth, not speed, it isn't remotely chemically similar to speed. The myth only exists because the chemical compounds are MOSTLY the same, like sugar and nitromethane. That doesn't mean that you're going to explode if you handle your table sugar too rough. Adderall is a mild stimulant in the right dosage that allows your frontal lobe to communicate with the rest of your brain properly, it's no different than insulin for diabetes. Untreated ADHD is the bigger danger, and you need to stop ruining people's lives by spreading baseless hysteria.
To summarise this gentleman's useful analysis of being on Adderall for a week: 🔹His focus improved a lot and he was very productive. He was motivated to stay seated and keep working for hours. 🔹On Day 1, he could feel his heart racing and later he felt tingly. 🔹He experienced lots of anxiety on Day1 after the drug wore off 🔹From Day2 onwards, he didn't get those side-effects (apart from a little anxiety after the drug wears off). He mostly felt normal 🔹He became so productive that he was able to finish in a day things that might take him a week to do. 🔹It became hard for him to move away from his work. That's how focused he became. 🔹The drug is effective for 7 hours
Not having adhd myself, but I'd say this is the "normal" feeling even for me when taking adhd medication. For friends of mine who have adhd though, it's the opposite, they feel sleepy and groggy after taking any stimulants, hence why I end up with all their pills basically for free, responsibly used I'd say they do offer some great benefits for multitasking etc., even for people who are not diagnosed with ADD / ADHD.
@@ValdeDarkorbit I'd caution you to look into Dr Russel Barkley's videos. He's one of the leading researchers worldwide for ADHD & stimulant medication, and when used on someone who does not have neurological ADHD it causes chemical dependence and actually reduces the person's ability to retain information, even though the individual on them is convinced they're doing so well with studying/completing work because they feel as if they're moving faster and are more motivated. (It's the equivalent of giving yourself 12 cups of coffee and then doing your to-do list.) ADHD folks who have neurological changes as a result of the disorder when given stimulant medications do not have those side effects.
I was so mindblown the first time I had an "upper." I kept saying, "Is this what other people feel like all the time??" I was diagnosed with ADHD waaaay late in life.
@@ValdeDarkorbit Their basically stimulants of course anyone that does not have ADHD can use them. Thats like saying someone that does not have G.A.D can use weed and not feel relaxed.
I just got on adderall after 25 years of severe symptoms of ADHD. I’m 31. My counselors back in elementary school had mentioned it to my mother when I was around 6 years old. My mother was offended and she told me she will never put me on meds. I wish she did. My life was a complete struggle, especially in school. I could’ve done so much better but here I am, 31 yrs old and been on adderalll for 1 week now. I love this new life.
Same. Though a bit younger at 23 I struggled so much in high School I ended up dropping out because my depression as well got too severe and I needed help. I got on medication for the first time this month and the first dose was bad. My psychiatrist prescribed me a non stimulant because I have anxiety and Adderall increases anxiety levels but I had a Panic Attack regardless the first time I took it. Luckily I was in my room so while panicking and not knowing how to breath right I snatched up my anxiety medication and after taking that I threw up but felt better after puking lol. Fun times.
@@shyryTsr2k it’s making me tired. I’m also having vivid dreams. Straight nightmares that are sick! I don’t even want to sleep and I fight it now lol but I feel like I’ll come over this soon. I usually do. It’s also fucked with my sex drive… unfortunately lol
Never tell a doctor "I feel like I didnt need it today" You can tell him you take weekends off for tolerance, but don't give him ammunition to cancel your meds. That makes it sound like its not adhd to unspecialized doctors
but also if your doctor doesn't suck, do tell them everything!! ADHD patients are supposed to be a little resistant to stimulants, if you are not and aderall feels too much like speed, you might need to reduce your dose. Also, therapy has a big effect on ADHD, although it takes longer to work (obviously). I take vyvanse for my adhd but, as a medical student, I know that my real objective is to not rely on meds, and yours should be too!! cheers😊
@@lucass3485 you cannot cure ADHD after taking stimulants "for a little while". At this moment, we know that this disorder is PERMANENT, and very little can be done apart from taking the prescribed medication in order to make executive functions in the brain more reliable. And the "very little" part is related to using the environment as a crutch in order to enhance the abilities that are impacted by the disorder.
@@KaduDMZ you very much cannot cure adhd by using meds for a little while, and nowere did I say this. Also, you cannot cure adhd by taking medication at all, persistant symptoms are pretty much guaranteed even if you take madication daily. Long term therapy for adhd, however, shows results that are comparable, and sometimes better, than medication for adhd. Most patients can't just do therapy and need to take medication for the rest of their lifes, but some can be taken off stimulants. I very much intend to do everything I can to not be taking an amphetamine everyday for the rest of my life, for even vyvance -which has the least amount of side effects between all widely used adhd medication- can make your cardiovascular health decline faster, increase aging, increase anxiety and irritability, and so on. Again, therapy and medication have comparable results in reducing symptons for adhd, I am not suggesting you can just get off medication and not have adhd anymore, nor did I ever do that.
@lucass3485 also worth pointing out that yout specify unspecialized doctors. I was about to start in with "my psych suggests i take more or less as needed" but realized i missed that one word. I WONDER WHY.....anyway, also worth mentioning there are other med options like qelvee that are supposed to help with execution dysfunction. Important because stims can make all tyat worse.
Yeah for some reason some doctors just don't know what all their patients actually need on mental health Or physical health And a select few doctors really just. don't care.
I was diagnosed at 25, started meds in February this year, and the first time I took it I actually felt like my mind was like 65% emptied out. It was a mental calm I have never experienced. Since I didn’t have anything to do that day so I just sat with myself and observed how I was feeling and I actually panicked a little and called my mom because having my mind be that quiet made me feel like I might be dying.
I think the biggest life changing experience for me was when my brain first went quiet, because for me my brain is always on full blast loud, no stops. ALLllll gas, always, no brakes.
its actually kind of odd when the brain just becomes silent from taking medicine for adhd tbh. its like the world just stopped and ur thoughts froze for a while from being scattered.
I just started Vyvanse two days ago and the first thing I've noticed is the silenced thoughts then the energy boost and I felt like I possibly didn't have ADHD. Day two was way better for me too. But the little things that were mental torture and made me feel real pain are easier. I did dishes without making it a 2 hour bounce back and forth project. That was a real achievement for me. My crashes are REAL. That tired hits hard.
I was on Vyvanse for the majority of my childhood and up until recently. I stopped taking it during the pandemic and it was really eye opening. Yeah, I felt fidgety and couldn’t focus, but it felt like I had just unchained myself from an anchor weighing me down. I’m never going back and I don’t care how productive it makes me.
energy is something i have a big problem with, but I cant get my doctor to try any stimulants so i gotta live with it lol. hopefully one day ill find a natural solution that works
I am about to start my ADHD treatment journey tomorrow, and your video has been one of the most helpful for what I'm looking for. I am really excited and nervous too. This has been super reassuring. I can't wait to experience and understand willed focus, and not be just vigilantly looking for a pocket of opportunity when a little extra dopamine happens to be present in my brain to get anything done. TY
Thank you for sharing, brother! Almost 35yo, never knew what i had until youtube started popping videos about adhd. I've had a lot of hate from my mom and sometimes from my wife, telling me that "You're useless when you want to". I'm broke af, i've never had a real job, never felt like going to college or picking up a course because i always felt that im too stupid to do stuff, math was always a hard discipline for me to tackle but when i do something i like, i dive head first. Drugs like cocaine, weed, cigar and alcohol were my go to when i was a teenager, which made me feel good about myself when i did them, until recently i discovered psilocybe cubensis mushrooms and they made me feel productive, eager to tackle problems i used to overlook and throw them under the rug as much as i could. Next week i have an appointment with a psychiatrist. I hope i get to live a better life on meds until i can cultivate my mushrooms and microdose. Fuck, i just want to be productive, earn my money regularly and hustle on the side when i need because right until now life has been a mess. I hope all of you who have adhd find peace in your own terms. Dog bless, salute from Brazil.
Shrooms are awesome the clarity of thought is out of this world and into a better one, your story is the same as mine bro just about, peace and hope from the UK
I was just diagnosed with Asperger's and ADHD last week at 68, am SO happy to find out the issues I'd been having for so long were not something much worse. However, the doctor did not prescribe me an ADHD med to help me focus, which has been extremely bad since around 2011 and worsening to now. Have always known I was different somehow, but it's really bad now. UPDATE: After five months trying different types and strengths of methylphenidate (i.e., Ritalin, the longest tested and lowest side effect form of ADHD stimulant med) I found the one that works for me. I don't even take it every day, just on days when I'm anxious or the racing thoughts are unmanageable; methylphenidate 10 mg ER and 5 mg IR...one or both. Works very well for my needs. I was never looking for this med to make me more energetic, quite the opposite. It calms me down, helps my thoughts calm down too so I can focus.
@@Cashcorn Yes you can look it up it's basically a condition where you can't stop with these micro tremors grow tremors extremely annoying and there is no cure. Is tardive diskanesia or TD for short.
Ok yeah, if I take my medication when I don't have something to focus on, I can end up feeling really anxious because there's all this mental energy and awareness in your head with no outlet for it
Ty, great video, many thanks! Im in the same boat. Diagnosed at 43, work as a nurse. 10mg Methylphenidate twice a day has totally blown my mind. The focus is amazing. Im calmer, sleeping better and I'm not ignoring things that need done! Very happy for us both! ✌❤🦎
As you continue to take the medication, you’ll start to level out quite a bit. The feeling of anxiety eases off, the powerful sense of “go go go” drive you felt the first few times you took it tapers off somewhat, and you just normalize at the point of being a more consistently functional version of your base, unmedicated self. Stick with it and adjust your dosage as you feel the need, small increments at a time over a long period of time. If you’re dosed correctly as an adult, you shouldn’t ever truly need to increase your dosage from that point onward.
Thank you so much for your video! I was diagnosed recently at the age of 29 and i am still in the process of finding the right dose of medication (I am German and currently trying Elvanse, there is something similar in your country as well I guess). Even if this process is different for everyone, it is so helpful and good to hear experiences like yours, these imposter syndrome feelings like „maybe i don‘t have adhs after all“, having good days, bad days, analysing yourself etc. It makes me feel like we’re not alone and almost everyone goes through these things and has these thoughts. I wish you all the best :)
As a fellow ADHDer with a script FINALLY i can say that NO most people dont feel like we do when they are just focusing on something. Adderall gives you focus AND a body and head high. Totally different than focus sober.
I agree. I haven’t seen anyone with this opinion, everyone seems to think it makes them feel like normal people… I beg to differ… but then again I have no way of knowing….
THANK YOU!!! I was prescribed adderall for years, and I used to wonder if normal people felt like I did, medicated. At the end of the day, adderall is still a lot like speed and there is a high that most of us still feel, especially at high doses (literally adderall generic is “amphetamine salts” 😅) .. I think that reality makes a lot of ADHDers uncomfortable, so we just say it makes us normal 🤷🏻♀️
@ 100% agreed it helps a lot but I think taking it daily isn’t the best for anybody’s brain and people should take short breaks (2-3 days, or longer) to get the most effectiveness from it especially with high doses
Just recently got diagnosed with ADHD at 23. Started taking meds and the first few days worried me because I was constantly nauseous, dizzy, shaky, no appetite, and my heart was racing. BUT I was able to focus on my work and even was able to work overtime instead of waiting for 5pm. Once I got past the first few days, the bad side effects went away and I felt just..focused and kinda “normal”. It didn’t help my anxiety much either though. I have noticed though…I NEED to eat a good breakfast before taking it otherwise the bad side effects start up. Definitely something to look into if you believe you may have ADHD.

I’ve been taking adderall for years and this all sounds familiar. You can definitely feel as soon as it begins to work. Sometimes there’s a tingle in your body or a sudden feeling of clarity and an overall sense of well being. It can also make you hyper focus on what you’re doing and sometimes make it difficult to stop. I’ve noticed that the more physically active I am after taking adderall the effects of the medication is stronger. My guess here would be blood flow is greater circulating the drug making it more active. Not sure just a thought on that. There is definitely a crash if you take it regularly, and then stop for a day! It can also make you a little irritable at times but nothing to worry about! Like anything give it time before making any decisions to stop. It has been a game changer for me in managing my ADHD!
From the UK. Diagnosed 3 months ago been taking Elvanse for 2 months and it’s been a game changer. My biggest impulsive addiction is sweet food and I’ve lost all my cravings. It’s beenI life changing to the point that finally I’m losing weight. I’ve always trained but since lockdown the weight has piled on. I train 6 days and yoga everyday. It’s helped me feel like myself and so happy where I am currently. My focus has improved and at the moment it’s been a positive experience - I am 44 btw for context
Awww my God this made me have a tear in my eye. i tried vyvanse for first time yesterday. all it did for me was basically... let me choose what I wanted to think about. Thinking of things was a choice. Otherwise, whatever I was thinking about, would be whatever I was looking at. No thoughts blended in with it. What I loved about this is that I didn't have to think of things I didn't like. Things that put me in a bad mood. Things that are intrusive.
This is also my experience. I was just diagnosed and started Vyvnase. I have had racing, spiraling thoughts my whole life with no control to calm them down and anxiety like crazy. It’s been a week now and my brain is quiet and I haven’t been feeling anxiety all day long anymore. I hope it stays like this forever.
@@user-mj6qr2ky9d it’s been going well. Because it only lasts roughly 12 hours though, my anxiety brain is patiently waiting for me at the end of the day. Lol. I can focus on one task at a time and actually finish it in the morning and afternoon. I am grateful for this drug.
I'm 38 and just getting to being diagnosed with ADHD at this point; up until I've just felt broken, like I can't function or think properly, never able to accomplish much (but I have many great ideas and goals). While I'm sad I'm only getting this figured out now and I could have become a doctor or successful business owner of some kind if I had only dealt with it in my teens or 20's, I'm hopeful to still accomplish something in my middle years that I'll be proud of.

I have been depressed for a long time, but after taking shrooms few months ago, l feel much happier and highly motivated and my ADHD gone , lost a ton of anxiousness and had a few epiphanies about how I should live my life. I decided to buy an ounce for backup, but haven’t yet felt the need to take any more since then.
I was diagnosed later in life while attending grad school, and boy oh boy did it feel like I had just entered some cheat code to life. Frankly I almost felt bad for taking it like I was actually cheating haha. But that was only because I had gone all throughout my childhood without any medication and not knowing at the time but was simply self-medicating via a severe coffee addiction. I’m talking regularly 6-7 cups worth per day lol. I did have to remind myself frequently that first year on medication, in addition to working with a time management coach offered by my school, that what I was feeling wasn’t some cheat code, but just how normal people functioned and that realization over time really put things into perspective. Later I also learned that I was likely higher than average in intelligence since I was apparently coping well-enough throughout childhood and undergrad to regularly receive a B average across my studies despite being handicapped so much, so that was a much needed confidence boost which helped to quell those inner thoughts I’ve always had of being stupid compared to my peers. It wouldn’t surprise me if there are many kids misdiagnosed with ADHD that don’t actually have it as the symptoms superficially could just be some bored or restless child, but I sometimes wonder what my life could’ve been like had I been diagnosed much earlier on, saving me from all the built up shame and low self-esteem I wrongly placed on myself early on. 8 years on medication and following my diagnosis I STILL find myself having to unpack that emotional baggage from time to time 😣
I’m sorry but I have this vibe that you are VERRRRRRY self conscious and doubt your self worth. I’m sorry that you aren’t able to be the real you. Do what you want. Do what makes you happy. Hope the life you live is the one you wanted too.
Take it easy, friend. I'm 32 and only just starting to look into this. I'm 100% sure I have ADHD but it's not diagnosed. Be happy that you found a solution to live a normal life after all. Hugs.
I remember the days when I first started my medication. It felt amazing. I don’t believe that’s how normal people feel, I think it’s definitely above baseline. Most people don’t have a drug pumping out dopamine like that. Their brain just naturally has more of it, it’s natural and consistent instead of a rise and fall like with adderall.

@@ToyotaCorollaCE I definitely felt weird at first, at least in my experience. It’s like hyper focusing, constantly... but for me with that was a consistent tiredness. I’m getting most of the things done that I need to (and I’m now better at planning and WANTING to plan) but if I laid down I’d fall asleep pretty quickly. I’m assuming that my body has been in such high stress and anxiety, and now that I have something to help regulate, my body is just super t i r e d. I am now 31 years old. I didn’t start taking Adderall until I was 23 years old and I’ve learned that taking my medication revolves around eating food in the morning and monitoring my water consumption and hydration because dehydration causes anxiety and head vibration descriptions, but as long as I stay hydrated and consistently eatingthree meals a day, it’s the best thing that ever happened to me. However, the repercussion is make sure you do your eyes and cross your tease because if not eating or dehydration becomes a problem you will have problems with Adderall.

Good to know. I also am feeling imposter's syndrome, and felt energetic, more talkative and super concentrated, especially with eye contact, which is something I am not good at. I also felt anxious which was a concern. The crash was horrible. I will ask my doctor if he can decrease my meds, but my husband saw the complete opposite. He noticed I was calmer!!! That kind of validated it was actually working.
I wish I could have experienced this, it turns out that I cannot tolerate the dosages they have in Vyvanse, for example, and I tried out 2 other meds in the past whereby I did not notice any difference, albeit, those were given me just after going through a terrible experience and burn out. However, as you age, the body does weird things, like, get cholesterol, lower kidney function (the EGFR) and it turns out that meds aren't exactly good for my little old lady kidneys. I would caution everyone to look at their labs and learn to read them. Do not wait for your kidneys to go below 68, in fact, drink your water during the day, and get yourself a nice glass of water every hour for the first 10 hours you are awake in your day. This amazing transformation via taking a medicine, sounds like a dream that I will never realize.
This was very helpful thank you! I especially liked hearing that you felt a bit worried that maybe it wasn’t working but as soon as you sat down to work it did help a ton. Also, I have had panic attacks for two days starting it (mixing it with straterra). Good to hear about your anxiety as well as the euphoria talking fast bit because I had that too. It helps me to know you have regulated the meds now so hopefully mine will too.
Hi Cindy, I take methylphenidate as Medikinet 10mg, so pretty similar. The side effects will subside as you become used to them and you may flip between anxiety and euphoria as it works through initially for a bit. Another thing that you might have experience of early on, or even later, is an orgasmic rush and severally heightened libido. Good luck and keep in good health :)
My first pill, I fell asleep, I was so calm. The inner voice stopped. I went manic tho , got all my shit sorted, cleaned everything, it was amazing. Then after a week, I’d stopped working Went up to 10mg twice a day levelled out and now it’s just lovely and calm Had a week off and the difference is night and day
Sitting down and working at a desk for 6 hours non-stop isn't a good thing for anyones health. Even a neurotypical person should take regular breaks, and excercise etc. I learned at university it helped to assess my ultradian rhythm (which is known for deep sleep and REM sleep cycles but also continues while awake) and time breaks at the end of each concentration cycle; do some pushups, pullups, handstand, stretch etc. Adderall may interfere with the ultradian rhythm and cause an unnatural ability to focus beyond that of even a neurotypical person. I'm not opposed to taking stimulant medication, but I'm thinking perhaps prescribed doses may be too high for some individuals. Also, working in such long bouts will cause burnout and fatigue. Also it sounds like splitting the dose, so it doesn't peak as hard and lasts till 17:00 might be a winner. I'd ask my physician; I've done this with other medication and my doctor supported it. Glad it helped though. I'm currently going through diagnosis.
I am not sure why your video just came up on my UA-cam but I was diagnosed with ADHD when I was 13. I started with Strattera, switched Adderall, then to Vyvanse and I've been back on Adderall since I was 18 and I am now 32. These drugs are WAY overprescribed which causes them to get such a bad name. I was originally prescribed ADHD medication by my Primary Care Doctor. I later saw a psychiatrist because the dosage was way too much for me as a kid. My dosage was lowered and we got to a good level that worked. It really takes time to see how it works for you. I've lowered the dosage over the years, and while I still take it, I take a very low dose that works for me!
Your first day experience is what I call the "What's this amazing stuff you're giving me" effect. So, yes, it's basically a somewhat exaggerated reaction to something new. The most troublesome aspect of this effect is that, when you give your body something which is good but not what you need (for example, a vitamin supplement, a low dose of SSRI...) you'll feel great for a few days and might be deceived into believing "This is it! This doctor who prescribed this got it right!"; but when you get the right treatment, the first day the effect might be too strong and you might get scared.
I was on this for 9 years, got super addicted ended up having a mental breakdown that lasted over a year. Went to rehab and Ive been clean since 2/14/20 I have adhd and I’ve learned to live with it without medication
I have been taking Adderall for 18 years (since i was 8) I was lucky that it was the right meds first time. at 21 I tried Vyvanse because it was cheaper and hated it after 2 days I was done with it they put me back on Adderall. I was restless couldn't sleep well was anxious and my heart would go like like 120 or more (idk how fast but I was feeling my heart beat so I'm assuming 120 or more) for most of the day. When I was little all Adderall did was curve my apatite and i wouldn't eat til i got home from school. My body has built up a tolerance for it, I have some days where i struggle to study or work or what ever. but alot of the studying is getting started on it. if i get interrupted it can be hard to get back in
Thanks for sharing your experience! That’s super interesting I recently switched to Vyvanse from Adderall, and that’s been working better for me. I feel like it has come to show everyone reacts to medication differently.
Day 1 for me I took at 10mg 530pm. I was prescribed 10mg twice a day. I was prescribed at 4pm so I only took half a daily dose. Anyways 1.5 hours in I had blurred vision that lasted 30 minutes but at 7 I had this ahora that I can’t explain well. I felt happy. My mind was quiet and I felt at peace. Almost what I think a high would feel like!! Rest of the night was just happiness and present. Around 10 I laid down for bed ready for bed and cried because my mind was quiet and I felt like I was on a beach watching a sunset. Again like I was at peace. I didn’t receive any focus or energy. Immediately felt sleepy and mellow. Day 2(today) I took at 7am. Wouldn’t say it felt different. Just felt like my good days normally feel. However I was able to have a conversation with someone without losing interest or spacing out. It actually felt good. Around 10 I got a head ache and really tired. Took my second 10mg at 1130 and was in a deep sleep at 12. Just woke up at now I’m watching this video. Curious to see if drowsiness was common. Have yet to get any focus or energy. We’ll see how this goes
I had the same exact experience on Ritalin. I only stopped taking it bc my heart rate is naturally high and it wasn’t healthy for it to be even higher than that. I still take it as needed, but not everyday
My collective experience of working with hundreds of people with ADHD is that if you feel a difference on day 1, you have been started on too higher dose. The best prescribers take the attitude, 'low and slow' in terms of dose and increases. Fluid intake is important too. ADHD medication is like being given a rally car when all you have driven is your mum's 4 cylinder automatic. It is awesome but you can't drive it the same way. Pills don't teach skills. Get an ADHD Coach. Then the tools and skills you are trying to learn will match what you always thought you were capable of.
I was just diagnosed at 36 years old, started on 10mg Vyvanse/day and i felt a night and day difference within 2 hours of taking my first dose. It's been such a huge improvement for me that i plan to just stick to 10mg.
How you doing? I'm in month 2 of 10mg XR Adderall. Incredible difference. The quiet in the mind is incredible. Just had a crazy busy week with multiple unexpected issues and was able to adjust quickly and get done what I needed to get done.
I've never heard of an ADHD coach in my life! Are they in California? My eldest son is really struggling with his ADHD now at this age of 14. I need to better help him ❤
Ooh...which coach shall I choose...🙄 One of the standout points of stimulant medication for adult ADHD is that it works straight away. Some people need to get their body used to stimulants, some people get used to it within hours, and some unfortunates find they can't tolerate it. I'm sorry but your advice is ill-informed and potentially harmful.
Honestly people who don't have ADHD often find that medication doesn't do much for them (depending on the kind). I'm glad that you found adderall helped you! I would highly suggest if you don't struggle with disorders like ADHD and or other, then to refrain from taking meds as you guys are fully capable to do things on your own. They can also be more addicting to those who don't need them but most importantly it can throw off a chemical imbalance in your brain (Spreading general info: if you don't like my comment do not reply, no hate is expressed here)
I faced every negative side effect of Vyvanse after two years of taking it. At first it was great, got a lot of work done and had ambition to do things. But one day i felt my mind completely snap in two and had to quit cold turkey cause of it. I used to be out going and socially comfortable but after that one day everything about myself had completely reset its self and almost lost touch with reality, for half a year i was taking 3 trips to the ER a month because i was sure i was dying but in actuality it was just some type of psychosis i was going through. My serotonin receptors were completely fried and i haven't felt the same since, I'm still recovering. I'm sure most people wont experience this and most people seem to have good experience with Vyvanse but just posting this to share what could happen.
Damn I am getting lots of tingly from this video. Sitting on both of my legs and tinglies in the stomach and toes tippy stimming. I am so happy for you.
Yes it seems to work at first due to its affects, in the end it will change you for the worse. You will need it to do anything. Stick to natural remedies. Excersizing when you feel like you just dont have the energy is the best thing you can do followed by proper nutrition.
The first time I took Concentra (18mg 12h) nothing happened. The second time I had a rush like after coffee, but for 15 minutes, then nothing. After couple days I took two pills (36mg extended) and that was amazing. I just stopped everything I was doing and lay down on my bed, just enjoying the feeling. After that it's mostly more focus. I'm 37 and I was diagnosed a month ago. Shame that I wasn't diagnosed sooner.
Interesting. Thank you for making this. I'm undiagnosed aDD. My 10 yr old was diagnosed with ADD and I have a son with autism. Different fathers. Learning the 2 overlap genetically. I've been temped to try it, but I'll just wait for a true much needed diagnosis. Currently on Bupropion aka Wellbutrin. 😑 Doing nothing for my executive dysfunction.
I recommend you hit up this legit plug they're very reliable ship to any location they've got Adderall shrooms ketamine dmt, lsd, spores, microdose and other psychedelic stuffs
I’ve been on adderall for a week after receiving my ADHD dx. I have to put into my work calendar to take breaks. I also keep healthy snacks around my desk so I remember to eat. I kept getting dehydrated, so I’ve had to be more conscious about drinking more water and incorporated some pedialyte. If I don’t stay hydrated or eat, I get headaches and eye aches. Only downside is that I need to make sure that what ever I am trying to focus on, I start doing it before I take my meds, otherwise I’ll focus on other things instead of work or art. I also have trouble sleeping so I had to get an rx for an anti anxiety to help me sleep (ambien doesn’t work for me at all).
I was diagnosed last month at 34 yr old. I tried a non stimulant first as I have anxiety but it made me very very sick so I had to stop on day 1. Then they gave me elvanse (vyanse in the us) 20mg low dose. The 1st 2 days I had energy spikes at the start and felt a little buzzy , raised heart rate etc and then massive crashes about 5 hours later. Since then 3 weeks on, it is doing nothing for me. I take it and have a nap after for about 2 hours. Wake up and nothing. I feel just as unmotivated with no focus as before. If not worse. I have lost a few pounds in weight which I personally welcome, but I also cannot work due to disability so I dont have much of an outlet in the day to keep me busy. I just really want to be able to start a task, I've dropped out of universiry 4 times now and now I know why, I would love to be able to do that. I have a call tomorrow, so hopefully they work out help with meds soon.
Oh damn, I’m sorry to hear about that. That’s gonna be super frustrating! I hope your call went well and that you’re able to figure out something that does work well with your body! I feel like that’s one of the hardest parts is figuring out the right one
I can relate.. I’m on day 10 of Vyvance and on the first day I felt a few hours of energy and focus but all the days since it really isn’t doing much for me. I’m on 30mg. I’m seeing doctor next week and I hope to increase dosage and see what he says. What’s the difference between aderal and Vyvance ?
@@Skuplia What don't you understand? There is this new thing called Google. It's uncontrollable movements that are highly annoying and never go away- for life. You don't want that. Don't just listen to your doctor- do your own research but clearly you don't like to do that. Good luck.
Its NOT how everybody feels. The drugs gives you that motivating superproductive feeling equally for people with ADHD and without ADHD. I do not have ADHD and I can confirm it is not how normal people feels, absolutly no normal people feels that productive. And it DEFINITLY gives a massive advantage at school. Edit: The best I could describe it as someone without ADHD: It feels like all your whole life there was a fog in your brain preventing it from reaching his maximum potential and for the first time in your life that fog disapears and you can think fast and plan everything and forget nothing and barely takes any pauses. The effect people being prescribed the drugs feels isn't "the ADHD going away" it's just the drug stimulating your brain
Yeah sounds like either you (the content creator) does not have ADHD or the dosage is completely wrong. In my case Adderall just make me 'normal' focused but still calm and no weird buzz or zombie or anything like that.
"And it DEFINITLY gives a massive advantage at school" Yeah no, not at all. There are acutally studies that have proven the exact opposite, that if you take ADHD meds and don't need them they make you perform worse in school. I was dx in my 40's when our son was dx. I was put on generic adderall 30mg, but generally only took the morning dose of 10 and only on weekdays. (One of the first days I went to a conference in an arena and was amazed that everything seemed smooth and I was NOT buzzing and overwhelmed. I was able to sit calmly and choose where to focus and to follow along with the speakers without day-dreaming.) While medicated, I was able to make decisions and plan my days, then never had crashes or anxiety as the dose wore off - I really didn't even notice. It was very helpful during the child-raising years.
No matter how bad my symptoms are there’s absolutely no way I’m taking meds that I will have to stay on for my whole life while financing big pharma, no thanks! I think we should start questioning what is productivity and why is it everyone’s ultimate goal. There is something wrong in a society that makes people desperate and medicates them hoping they will adapt to what society requires them to be and do! I have ADHD and CPTSD, but adding to that I also have a lot of impostor syndrome and guilt for not being like others around me. I was lucky enough to meet people that are more similar to me and feel seen. For some reason, as soon as I switch off social media, spend some time in nature with kind positive people, I start sending away thoughts about work, reality and what everyone else is up to, and start winding down, I am even able to relax. Shrooms have been a great help in this too.
I agree, this society is partly responsible for creating so many distractions, never has there been a time where peoples attention spans have been so low thanks to the internet and billions of things to watch, listen, read. The monkey mind and having many thoughts at once have always been a trait of humanity, that is why meditation was invented, but now people just want to consult big pharma for that quick fix that often times lead to life long addiction & side effects. With the shortage of Adderall, sadly some people I know have turned to using street meth.
How are u managing the symptoms then procrastination and not being able to focus and work when u have to emotional instability and impulsivity and thus struggles in relationship shutting people off? How are u managing those without meds ??
Adderall an other meds are easily accessible from this specialist I cop from very reliable source who ship’s discreetly can also guide you through if you're a newbie
My mind feels like a horse that’s been spooked and is going crazy, kicking and breaking everything in its barn. Got my diagnosis a month ago, and now I’m waiting so i can get on meds. hopefully I’ll have the same experience as you😁
@rodrigo I’m progressively getting better since we’re approaching holidays since my mind can essentially do only things that it likes and doesn’t have to focus on school, but I’m still not medicated due to the horrible medicare system of where i live :/
The "crash" where the dam starts leaking and eventually breaks is real. I go from calm and in control to mind racing and jittery. It took a while to get a handle on it, but I manage it by going somewhere quiet with low light and doing things I find de-stimulating. It is actually remarkable how much less general anxiety I feel. I will feel anxious or nervous and I am able to turn it way down or even off by refocusing on more positive things related to the situation. I actually can't believe how much tension and general anxiety I was walking around with all the time.
Try Vyvanse or Dexedrine timed or slow release capsules, smallest dose first and slowly work your way up if needed. If it really is AD(H)D, (not a misdiagnosis), you should feel relief from excruciating boredom, (i.e: chronic understimulation which is AD(H)D), and you should feel relaxed yet be mentally alert and able to focus, unlike neurotypicals who get excited, overstimulated, wound up, anxious, etc. by AD(H)D medications, (i.e: prescription amphetamines).
ADHD brains need more sleep and hydration, at least in my case. I have adhd and was getting straight As in all my classes when I had adequate enough sleep and was fully hydrated. Now I'm making mostly low Bs
Speed based stuff is amazing i created over 1k bits of artwork in 2 months and got fit to athlete levels the house was spotless i had a wicked dance playlist on the go life was bliss until i started hearing voices and that's when the shit hit fan. I went to the hospital and was diagnosed with psychosis, i ended up sectioning myself because i totally lost the plot. This was in 2017 and i had no idea i had ADHD until i was diagnosed in November 2024, My first thought was great i will be able to be productive again with the meds, but... because i had psychosis the doc wont perscribe stimulants just the non stimulants versions so i will have to wait and see if these work once i get blood tested as these can effect your kidneys or liver, (bummer) great vid by the way, thanks 👍
I tried Aderall -it allowed me to focus on studying, but it took me 2 days to recover which was counterproductive. I find it helpful for tasks I don’t want to do. Great for when I have a knitting project with a complicated pattern
This video is heartwarming and heartbreaking to me, I’m diagnosed with ADD in a family that’s terrified of adderall because they watched podcasts that told them it was terrible for me. I’ve been off it for 3 years now and I miss it, I genuinely was a different person on it. Praying I can get on my own health insurance and get back on it.
i do have a question: is Adderall seriously something you can choose to take or not take depending whether you think you'll need its effects that day? I'm used to SSRI/SNRI regimens, where you have to take it consistently for at least two weeks to find out whether it works, and if it does, you have to continue taking it consistently to sustain the effect; you can't start & stop.
Yup Adderall is something you can self manage and you end up do needing drug holidays to try to reduce tolerance. I'm in medical school so I take it when I am in clinic or when I need a burst of focusing for studying but after studying for my board exams I took a two week break. I was unproductive as hell but I planned ahead and expected as such.
My doctor told me I only needed to take it when I needed it. Like I used it days I went big like monthly grocery shopping or something I really get distracted doing.
I definitely have a lot of signs and symptoms that could indicate adhd. But I am scared of taking the drug for the insomnia and loss of appetite side effects. I feel like this drug will make anyone focus whether you have adhd or not. I self medicate myself with 3-5 cups of coffee and lots of exercise and sauna time, and set myself reminders and alarms to keep track of time and what i meed to do. Maybe my experience could help someone.
You look wired on it tbh lol is Aderal stronger than Vyvance? I’m on my first week of Vyvance and it really doesn’t feel strong enough (30mg) can I hear anyone’s thoughts on this?
My workload is a lot… I don’t know what I would do without Adderall. I was in between prescriptions this week, and I felt so unfocused at work. I got stuff done, but it didn’t feel like it. When I took it yesterday I was able to organize my thoughts, write them down and get things done. I can literally sit for 10 hours and not think to get up. It does make your emotions suppressed. I feel things, but can’t emote them. Honestly I love it.
I recommend you hit up this legit plug they're very reliable ship to any location they've got Adderall shrooms ketamine dmt, lsd, spores, microdose and other psychedelic stuffs
One change I noticed after taking Amphetamine Salts was I didn't dwell on negative or sarcastic comments people had made towards me. It was more like "water off a duck's back." Whereas before I'd take things personally and dwell on them for a long period of time.
That happened to me on straterra but it's not a stimulant so maybe that (it literally game me a panic attack because I was so anxious but also angry at the same time and I didn't know why) was because of the other effects Adderall has like the chemicals being released idk. Anyway that problem went away after the first day I'll edit this if it comes back tho I'm only 3 days in
As a kid i was diagnosed with ADD in the 90s and i was on adderall for a while but in high school they kept wanting me to take more and push myself harder until I couldn't handle it! Psychedelics were a much better option for me.
thanks for sharing! I love hearing others’ experience with meds being I will have a prescription for something soon. I was diagnosed with ADHD-PI about a week ago. 2 days ago, I tried adderall for the second time in my life (the first time I did was 3 years ago my sophomore year of college. I wanted to see if it would help me focus and it did absolutely nothing. I think I took 20mg). I took 20mg 2 days ago around 3:30p and noticed no difference. I was shopping that day and running errands so I thought maybe that’s why (I wasn’t doing an activity that required focus and mental effort). So, I took another 20 mg around 9:30p and tried to focus on school work, nothing happened. I ended up going to sleep shortly after after feeling defeated that it didn’t do anything. This time the adderall was also not prescribed so I’m hoping once I can finally get a prescription, whatever I am prescribed helps me. Glad it’s working for you! It’s reassuring that something out there may help me.
Hey Monica! Sorry for my late response to your comment, but since this video I’ve also had to experiment more with the medication and doses. I even just about a week ago got prescribed a new kind of ADHD medication that helps me feel less anxious after it wears off! So it’s definitely just a process to figure out what is right for you! I hope to hear updates as you go along!
I want to see a video about ADHD being treated, and people's lives improving, without the "I became a drug addict" crap that stigmatizes ADHD people further, and makes it harder to get treatments that HELP
I took 30mg of methylphenidate for about 3 weeks. The first week was wonderful, lots of focus and energy. The 2nd and 3rd week were almost life threatening. I was so depressed and ridiculously emotional. I can’t even explain it. Worry, rapid heart rate and just this pure sadness. I had to stop it and I’ve yet to be back to the dr for a RX change. Be careful guys.
@@MrBmxer41 yes, yes and yes. It was great for like 3-4 hrs and then all this worry and sadness came over me. It honestly scared the shit out of me. I’ve never felt anxiety or depression before taking it.
@Mahomeboy7262 Interesting but some many things play a role into that. Let's say your childhood was fairly normal not a lot of trauma but then adulthood kicked your ass and if you go untreated everything can get worse from my understanding. Did you drink a lot of caffeine and work pretty hard while on it let's say a super physical job in the sun but weren't drinking enough fluids eating and also weren't taking it as a proper schedule?
@@nickywaggs8672 methylphenidate is notorious for having a bad come down and only lasting 3-4 hours. Overall its a shit drug in my opinion and probably yours too from the sound of it. An amphetamine based medication would be better for you, like adderall or dexedrine
Good for you, loving choice. Apart from pharma driven medical system all the speeds , there are alternatives. blackbox warning is for real. Young guys died, die from heart failure and or acute heart ailments. The stimulates put our body into fight/flight push blood to lungs, heart, brain for one, oh yep and rob it from ur weiner. I take a time release at 0600 and a booster at 1500. That gets me focused attention up until about 7pm. By that time I can do things that don't require much attention, like sketching to give me a transition to sleeping.
I took it for a week and nothing has impacted my life so negatively several months after having taken it. Severely suicidal. Everything was grey. No lust. For anything. The overwhelming amount of positive videos such as these tricked me into taking it and believing in adhd as a diagnosis. The state of mind might be real but psychiatry's explanation for it isn't based in hard evidence. To me it seems like the symptoms of adhd are very congruent with depression and our current way of living. I would try lifestyle changes everyday of the week rather than taking this drug. The negative side effects are so many and so very real, yet little to no research has been done into it's long term effects on stuff like overall health and fertility.
@@ioannisstermougkou8015 Sorry to say I haven't overcome them. But they pass. I focus on myself and my body and try to rekindle my brain. It's gotten better, I think. I'm becoming more able to be properly sad and not just hollow, so that helps processing emotions. I keep hoping to be fully who I was again one day. I'm looking into getting fit again, so that'll probably be my one goal going forward, and hopefully my brain gets back to what it was over time. I'm thinking the drugs unbalanced it and it needs time to resettle. Wishing you the best.

Which is why I drove my former wife crazy, but had no idea. Just had a test by a doctor and said I'm not far enough for medication, I was very surprised not prescribing me meds, going to get another opinion. Doing everything else as good as possible, meditating for a few years already trying to clear my racing mind always something to talk about lol Exercising and what we put in our body plays a huge role!! Thanks again now I know what to expect, and being an entrepreneur and to now focus like you explained it, hang on!! Not many Dr's are going to write a stimulant for anyone over 35 and if they do prepare to be put under a heavy microscope of scrutiny. You do not want an early death for a false reality
Psychedelics are just an exceptional mental health breakthrough. It's quite fascinating how effective they are against depression and anxiety. Saved my life.
Can you help with the reliable source I would really appreciate it. Many people talk about mushrooms and psychedelics but nobody talks about where to get them. Very hard to get a reliable source here in Australia. Really need!
Yes, dr.sporesss. I have the same experience with anxiety, depression, PTSD and addiction and Mushrooms definitely made a huge huge difference to why am clean today.
Extended Release can help to make it last longer and it’s less jarring. For me, when I need to dose up after being on it for years, the first 2 weeks are killer on me for my side effects. I’m getting tested soon to see if it’s actually Autism I have and no my ADD or if it’s both
I’ve been on Adderall for the most of the time, but I just switched to Ridellan, and it’s made me feel less anxious after it wears off! But I’m on the extended release for that! How is the 30 mg working for you?
@@typierson Sorry for the delay, I don't get notified when there's a reply lol. 30mg was great but didn't seem to last as long as they say it should. Alongside, the anxiety or irritiability that happens in the evenings suck but got better. I got on 40mg last month and it's great, but I just don't like the irritability that happens around 4pm. On top of that, I can tell I'm less social and don't want to do as much. Conversations after the first 3 hours are much harder to have. Not sure if it's a Vyvanse thing but I have a month follow-up with my doctor on Monday and will address that. I think I want to try an ER of Adderall to see if that offsets the evening slump and less social aspect of that. Any thoughts?
Are we sure these aren't just performance enhancing drugs? I've never met ANYONE that they didn't enhance performance for. I have met people who had to find the right med or dose, but that suggests anyone would be "helped" with some drugs, whether they have ADHD or not.
That's the problem: anecdotal evidence. It's not a controlled situation not controlled reporting. When it has been studied in proper conditions on non-ADHD people, they _felt_ more concentrated but actually they _performed worse_ While with ADHD people, it helps them to function more or less as normal people, for a while. This is based on peer reviewed studies, not "my friend took it and said he was much more concentrated"
If it gives you a lot of energy and gives you anxiety and makes you crash, you don’t have ADHD. I take 20mg and can fall asleep. I literally cannot function without adderal. My appetite or sleep patterns are completely normal. If I don’t take adderall it take me hours to get out of my house. Or to do any simple thing.
Hello! Fellow ADHDer and Qualified Mental Health Professional here🤚 Heightened energy and anxiety are also potential, more often temporary side effects of the medication when you first begin taking it. Him being able to get excited and actually focus for long periods of time is probably ADHD hyperfocus kicking in, which is very common in people who are medicated for their ADHD. Anxiety and heightened energy are also symptoms of ADHD, medicated or not. ADHD is an attention regulation disorder. When medicated, you can hyperfocus but still have difficulty knowing when to step away versus not being medicated when your energy levels manifest in ways that negatively impact your productivity, like looking for excuses to step away constantly because you have so much energy and dysregulation with attention and lack the executive functioning ability to hone in on what you need to do. It's not really fair ascertain this person doesn't have ADHD simply because his experience with it is different than yours.
@@morgangrace383 ok, then you should also know that that is the general consensus with this disorder and medication. At the end of the day, everyone is different
Thank you for this video! I just got diagnosed and am about to get on medication. This has been so helpful in knowing what to anticipate and how to plan. It seems like Adderall is like Viagra for the brain. You don’t want to take it if you’re not going to use it appropriately.
I got diagnosed last Saturday. I'm nervous about getting medication. My imposter syndrome is kicking in and tells me "maybe I got misdiagnosed! I'm probably just lazy and pretending." I want to see what it's like to take meds for ADHD. It'd mean the world to me if it improved my life.
I remember back in high school I used to take adderall and it was so intense, I was actually sitting in class teaching my teachers about the topics we were discussing even though I knew nothing about them
I would use nutrition- not pills that can lead to TD. TD will make your ADHD look like nothing. It is listed as a possible side effect with the drug you are taking. You are really rolling the dice my friend. No chance I would do that- but that's just me. No cure for TD and people can wake up with it. I heard the chances are relatively high as well, statistically. Just keeping it real. I would definitely talk to your doctor though they are trained to keep you on it- that is what they do.
What's actually interesting about adhd is that severe overdose on dopaminergic release can induce adhd like symptoms. Our brain needs a stable dopamine level to function properly. People who were born with adhd have some kind of problem with their dopamine levels which causes all these problems. I actually realized this myself, when I abstained from addictive things for a while. It made me more focused. But this does not mean that this behaviour will cure people who suffer from adhd all the way back from childhood.
My husband and I both have ADHD. I was diagnosed a few months ago. We both agree that it kind of feels like the guy in the movie Limitless. All the sudden you can focus and do things and it is definitely life changing.
Stop taking Rx speed it’ll make your life terrible

To summarise this gentleman's useful analysis of being on Adderall for a week:
🔹His focus improved a lot and he was very productive. He was motivated to stay seated and keep working for hours.
🔹On Day 1, he could feel his heart racing and later he felt tingly.
🔹He experienced lots of anxiety on Day1 after the drug wore off
🔹From Day2 onwards, he didn't get those side-effects (apart from a little anxiety after the drug wears off). He mostly felt normal
🔹He became so productive that he was able to finish in a day things that might take him a week to do.
(It's the equivalent of giving yourself 12 cups of coffee and then doing your to-do list.)
ADHD folks who have neurological changes as a result of the disorder when given stimulant medications do not have those side effects.
I was so mindblown the first time I had an "upper." I kept saying, "Is this what other people feel like all the time??" I was diagnosed with ADHD waaaay late in life.

Fun times.

Yeah for some reason some doctors just don't know what all their patients actually need on mental health
Or physical health
And a select few doctors really just.
This feels super authentic.
Oh my smurfs this...I felt this.
It's because the meds are impairing your cognitive capacity - which isn't what you want.
I had that moment where I was confused how I felt. I just haven't felt Happy in so long.
@DJP LOL, if anything it's helping us cut out the background noise and focus. You don't have ADHD apparently.

its actually kind of odd when the brain just becomes silent from taking medicine for adhd tbh. its like the world just stopped and ur thoughts froze for a while from being scattered.
That tired hits hard.
my husband has had the exact same experience. I'm not sure what I would do with silence in ny head! 😅
Try extended release brands and formulation. Less crash, still able to do dishes without waiting for them to smell bad in the sink.
energy is something i have a big problem with, but I cant get my doctor to try any stimulants so i gotta live with it lol. hopefully one day ill find a natural solution that works
Any advice for the crashing? My Dr prescribed two doses, one in morning one in afternoon
I am about to start my ADHD treatment journey tomorrow, and your video has been one of the most helpful for what I'm looking for. I am really excited and nervous too. This has been super reassuring. TY
adhd doesnt exist....you got played. now doctors own you. ide be happy to explain more in detail, but something tells me you dont like truth

I have ADHD and autism. Adderall has been life changing! I wish I had been medicated much sooner than I did.

Don’t u get used to the meds so that symptoms appear again??
@ In my experience, no.

I remember the days when I first started my medication. It felt amazing. I don’t believe that’s how normal people feel, I think it’s definitely above baseline. I am now 31 years old. However, the repercussion is make sure you do your eyes and cross your tease because if not eating or dehydration becomes a problem you will have problems with Adderall.

I tried Adderall at a low dose. I found it very helpful. So side effects. I felt awake, alert, focused and got things done.
Yes! Breakfast!
My first pill, I fell asleep, I was so calm. The inner voice stopped.
I went manic tho , got all my shit sorted, cleaned everything, it was amazing.
Then after a week, I’d stopped working
Went up to 10mg twice a day levelled out and now it’s just lovely and calm
Had a week off and the difference is night and day
Sitting down and working at a desk for 6 hours non-stop isn't a good thing for anyones health.
We’ll see how this goes
any update after a year?
I had the same exact experience on Ritalin. I only stopped taking it bc my heart rate is naturally high and it wasn’t healthy for it to be even higher than that. I still take it as needed, but not everyday
It is the best thing ever. Keeps you focused.
Keeps you on point.
Keeps you looking in the right direction.
Will take a break shortly. 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I need to better help him ❤
Ooh...which coach shall I choose...🙄
One of the standout points of stimulant medication for adult ADHD is that it works straight away. Some people need to get their body used to stimulants, some people get used to it within hours, and some unfortunates find they can't tolerate it.
I'm sorry but your advice is ill-informed and potentially harmful.
@@angelannnavarro10 Yes, there are quite a few. You may need to contact ADDCA to find one near you.
Did you take it everyday? How often and did you take 5htp?
Damn I am getting lots of tingly from this video.

Look up TD. It is very real. Pills are risky.

Edit:
The best I could describe it as someone without ADHD: It feels like all your whole life there was a fog in your brain preventing it from reaching his maximum potential and for the first time in your life that fog disapears and you can think fast and plan everything and forget nothing and barely takes any pauses.
"And it DEFINITLY gives a massive advantage at school"
Yeah no, not at all. There are acutally studies that have proven the exact opposite, that if you take ADHD meds and don't need them they make you perform worse in school.

So as someone who doesn't have adhd, you know how it effects people with adhd?
I was dx in my 40's when our son was dx. I was put on generic adderall 30mg, but generally only took the morning dose of 10 and only on weekdays.
(One of the first days I went to a conference in an arena and was amazed that everything seemed smooth and I was NOT buzzing and overwhelmed. I was able to sit calmly and choose where to focus and to follow along with the speakers without day-dreaming.)
While medicated, I was able to make decisions and plan my days, then never had crashes or anxiety as the dose wore off - I really didn't even notice.

Davidlushano got psychedelic, check on
Try Vyvanse or Dexedrine timed or slow release capsules, smallest dose first and slowly work your way up if needed.
This was in 2017 and i had no idea i had ADHD until i was diagnosed in November 2024,
My first thought was great i will be able to be productive again with the meds, but... because i had psychosis the doc wont perscribe stimulants just the non stimulants versions so i will have to wait and see if these work once i get blood tested as these can effect your kidneys or liver, (bummer)

I tried Aderall -it allowed me to focus on studying, but it took me 2 days to recover which was counterproductive. I find it helpful for tasks I don’t want to do. Great for when I have a knitting project with a complicated pattern
This really sounds like you’re not ADD/ADHD.
I was thinking the same thing.
Yeah adderall shows instant effect
You feel HIGH like a tweeker then you can't do nothing with out it

My workload is a lot… I don’t know what I would do without Adderall. I was in between prescriptions this week, and I felt so unfocused at work. I got stuff done, but it didn’t feel like it. When I took it yesterday I was able to organize my thoughts, write them down and get things done. I can literally sit for 10 hours and not think to get up. It does make your emotions suppressed. thanks for sharing!
How did you overcome suicidal thoughts??
@@ioannisstermougkou8015 Sorry to say I haven't overcome them. But they pass. I focus on myself and my body and try to rekindle my brain. It's gotten better, I think. I'm looking into getting fit again, so that'll probably be my one goal going forward, and hopefully my brain gets back to what it was over time. I'm thinking the drugs unbalanced it and it needs time to resettle.
Wishing you the best.

YES. You speak the TRUTH. Do not believe these deceptive adverts. They want to sell product.
Thanks for this Ty!
I'm 61 and after seeing a video on ADHD about 3 weeks I self diagnosed, I have it!
2 businesses I bought got bored with after a couple years sold, and I couldn't even guess how many jobs I've had. Which is why I drove my former wife crazy, but had no idea.
Just had a test by a doctor and said I'm not far enough for medication, I was very surprised not prescribing me meds, going to get another opinion.
I heard adults getting on the meds is like a new life, I want that!!
Doing everything else as good as possible, meditating for a few years already trying to clear my racing mind always something to talk about lol
Exercising and what we put in our body plays a huge role!!
Thanks again now I know what to expect, and being an entrepreneur and to now focus like you explained it, hang on!! LOL
Search doctor Amen a brain guy, he knows probably everything there is to know about our brain!
Off to a different Doc!!

Is he on instagram?
Yes he is. dr.sporesss
Microdosing helped me get out of the pit of my worst depressive episode, a three year long episode, enough to start working on my mental health.
Extended Release can help to make it last longer and it’s less jarring.
For me, when I need to dose up after being on it for years, the first 2 weeks are killer on me for my side effects. I’m getting tested soon to see if it’s actually Autism I have and no my ADD or if it’s both

What's your dosage? IR or XR? What was your dosage journey like? I'm on 30mg Vyvanse and trying 40mg next month.
My doctor prescribed Strattera which is an norepinephrine re-uptake. I feel like my brain found its missing puzzle piece!
Are we sure these aren't just performance enhancing drugs? I've never met ANYONE that they didn't enhance performance for. I have met people who had to find the right med or dose, but that suggests anyone would be "helped" with some drugs, whether they have ADHD or not.
>performance enhancing drugs
>makes me sleepy
That's the problem: anecdotal evidence. It's not a controlled situation not controlled reporting.
When it has been studied in proper conditions on non-ADHD people, they _felt_ more concentrated but actually they _performed worse_
While with ADHD people, it helps them to function more or less as normal people, for a while.
This is based on peer reviewed studies, not "my friend took it and said he was much more concentrated"
If your feeling tingly or weird try just lowering the dose 20-30mg can often be way to much for a lot of people. Try 5-10mg instead.
Hello! Fellow ADHDer and Qualified Mental Health Professional here🤚
Heightened energy and anxiety are also potential, more often temporary side effects of the medication when you first begin taking it.

I have autism
And ADHD
Kinda mixed up
Join the club. I wouldn't wish this existence on my worst enemy.
What’s TD

What's actually interesting about adhd is that severe overdose on dopaminergic release can induce adhd like symptoms. Our brain needs a stable dopamine level to function properly. People who were born with adhd have some kind of problem with their dopamine levels which causes all these problems. I actually realized this myself, when I abstained from addictive things for a while. It made me more focused. But this does not mean that this behaviour will cure people who suffer from adhd all the way back from childhood.
