I could run clear to California listening to your cadences. I'm 45, and brings back memories and the reason I mentored so many kids into the armed forces. Keep it up sir.
I'm a grunt and I think about all the different places that I hump singing songs like this..... Because the on last deployment I'm creeped up now. I know that My time has passed..... but I miss hearing the word has come down I would pick up my rifle and move out again..... gosh I miss it. Thank you for the memories.
Cpl A.E. Seman USMC 1987-1993 OOH RAHH!!! SEMPER FI!!! Proud to say I called Cadence when they would say : Cpl Seman come on out, we want hear you scream and shout, take it on the left foot , I got it , left , left , your lefty right a left
That’s Some Motivating Cadence. Makes you PROUD to be a MARINE. Makes me think of Humping up Recon Ridge, singing Cadence from a motivating MARINE. RAH!
It sure does, but I think one of the best parts is that this cadence in particular doesn't really glorify our job. "Somewhere, there's a mother, who's longing for her son. He's a US Marine, and he was the only one. Somewhere there's a daughter, who's longing for her dad. He's a US Marine, and she's always looking sad. Somewhere there's a girlfriend who's longing for her guy, he's a US Marine, and he's always waving 'bye.'" To us, it's motivating, but imagine from an outside perspective. Must sound dismal. And that's why I love this cadence, it's honest. Not like the "I can walk to Iraq in just one day" which portrays us as the superheroes we are (for my fellow Marines who didn't pay attention in boot camp, we're considered special forces. About the lowest tier of special forces, that being stormtroopers, or shock troopers, take your pick, but we are special forces by default, even without being a Raider). EDIT: and that's not me saying we're special forces. That's the Germans, during both WW's if I'm remembering correctly, but definitely during the 1st where we earned our moniker.
missing you from SLC!!! It was great meeting you MSgt! Much appreciation for marching us back to the barracks from the class room in the library next to the chow hall!
I remember hiking. We qualified with the m14 in 1963 and we hiked to camp matthews. That was our rifle range. Lots of tents for a good nites sleep. We qualified and then hiked back. .seemed like a 15 mile hike. Camp matthews no longer exists. Semper fi
We never really did slow cadence like this until we did some pre deployment training (Forest light) with the Japanese on their mainland. We were all drunk and Gunny Periccini (RIP) (9th ESB 2010) marched us drunk from the Japanese barracks to ours. Semper Fidelis
I had no idea there was a "Hiking " cadence. Where can I get some. I'm 74 and I use marching cadences on the treadmill, Also running cadence intermixes with marching for a more energetic workout sometimes.
I am a 53 year old PAF to be a Blue Star mom, sister (x2), prima (x2) and hopefully grandma, learning cadence to do a 50 mile ruck challenge to help stop soldier/Marine suicide next month. You learn something new everyday! Never stop seeking knowledge. I ain't, I can't cause that's how He made me. #oorah
"Hiking"? Maybe it's my memory, as I'm an ol' Cold War 0311 but I don't recall any hikes. HUMPS! They were HUMPS. Any fresh green was due for shin splints and blood blisters. I've had to explain my crazy looking Dawgs to way too many people since those days. I vividly recall a poorly thought out remark in formation (I'll swear I didn't say it) "the Commies must have it made. They're all motorized." Yeah...we all paid for that. How could those Platoon NCO's hear and call cadence at the same time!?
I remember hiking back from the reaper and we singing cadences 🦅🌎⚓️

Whiskey Jack was the cadence that we sang coming back from the Reaper. Forever engrained in my skull

What about Mt Mother Fucker? Do y'all still do that?
Love the slower beat of this cadence. It's perfect for slower steadier activities like backpacking or rucking up mountains.
missing you from SLC!!! It was great meeting you MSgt! Much appreciation for marching us back to the barracks from the class room in the library next to the chow hall!
I'm not a Marine or any service member, but I love the lead vocalist's voice and the call and response singers❤.

Same here
Been prepping for that one particular day and I've been losing my motivation. This gave me the nudge to keep on walking.

I love all your videos. I have been a listener to your cadences for a couple of years now. Please keep making them. They are very motivating

It’s more for hiking with a 100lb pack up a mountain than for looking at babbling brooks while on a nice little stroll.
Whiskey Jack was one of my favorites.
Finally! Been a long time waiting for some motivation! Err! Love all your running ones for sure.
Thank you MSgt!

RAH MSgt! Can I use this sound for my TikTok? I’ll give you full respect & honors. Marines need to hear this.
Not a problem! I’m popping up all over TikTok. Gonna drop a couple of new videos this week.
I've never had a cadence on any of my 30 mile humps.
Brother you need to make some more so I have more for my hump days. Semper fi!

Reminds of a old chain gang song just saying 👍💪👏✌️
And just like that I hit play and the pain in my legs is gone
Used to date a beauty queen now i got my m16
Can you PLEASE upload the Volume 2 if you have it available?
Wish I could listen to this on UA-cam Music
Any one know how to find this CD?
Get mad all you want, say I'm stereotyping, but dark green Marines have better rhythm than we do!
Where is the background from i would love to visit there
I think it’s Japanese
US. Army can't touch this ❤😊 Why it's because it's the. US. Marines 😅😊 Once a US Marine always
