    Answer to Practice Quiz Questions given in description of this video are -
    1. Correct Answer
    2. Wrong Answer - As bob continues projectile motion after leaving circular path, there is no angular amplitude can be defined as it is defined only in periodic motion of bob
    3. Correct Answer
    4. Correct Answer - As minimum speed to complete VCM at horizontal string position is √3gL = 10√3 m/s for L=10m
    5. Correct Answer - As in this case effective value of g is √(a²+g²) = 10√2 m/s² so min required speed for projectile motion is √[5g(eff)L] = 18.8 m/s

      Sir i had a doubt
      As the car is accelerated the bob at eqm (in frame of car) will be slightly up from the bottom most pt. So how can the min speed at that point be √(5geff*l) . √5gl would be if the bob was at bottom most point right ??

    1. Find the angular amplitude of a pendulum bob of string length 5m which is horizontally projected from bottom point at speed 10m/s. What is the angular amplitude of this pendulum ?

    2. In previous question no 1 if projection speed is 10√2 m/s then angular amplitude becomes approximately 130°. True or False ?
    [True]
    3. In previous question no 2 bob follows projectile motion after leaving circular path. True or False ?
    [True]
    4. In quetion no 1 if string length is doubled and bob is pulled aside so that string becomes horizontal and bob is projected vertically down at speed 10√3 m/s then bob will complete the vertical circular motion. True or False ?

    5. If pendulum of question no 1 is suspended inside a box car on one of its side vertical wall along the motion direction (not front or back wall). The box car is accelerating on a horizontal flat road at 10m/s². From equilibrium position what should be the minimum projection speed of the pendulum bob so that it can complete the vertical circular motion in frame of box car.

      In q.5 i feel it depends on which vertical wall the pendulum is suspended ..suppose it is supposed on the back side ( whose area vector is in the direction of acceleration of block ) then the pseudo force acting will not affect the net geff acting on VCM and the minimum velocity will √(5×10×5) = √250 = 15.8
      Pls explain me if I am wrong

    Sir while taking work energy theorm in very beginning why didn't u consider the potential energy of Bob at the second position ....it's equation should be mgh=1/2mv2+mgl(1-sinp) cause it has some height also ...at time 2:09 ...can u plss clarify it sir or any1

      Sir applied work energy theorem ...work done by gravity = change in kinetic energy
      mgh= 1/2mv²
      You are suggesting total energy conservation..then you have to consider the potential energy of bob at starting point also.
      0 + mgl = 1/2 mv² + mgl(1-sinø)
      1/2 mv² = mgl - mgl(1-sinø)
      1/2mv² = mgl - mgl + mglsinø
      1/2mv² = mglsinø
      Here we have taken lsinø as h
      Thus...1/2mv² = mgh.

      When you say work done by gravity it means ...Ui (initial PE) - Uf (final PE). It means that we have considered Potential energy of both the positions in the work done expression only. So no need to take it twice.

    If you are considering the problem in bob refrence frame than you need to apply two pseudo forces one along the radius and second along the tangent because the motion is not with uniform velocity and in bob's frame it should be at rest therefore it can't have any tangential motion. You are switching from one frame to another according to your convince which is not the right approach. The answer may be right but the method is flawed.

    Sir the answer to Q2) is wrong and therefore False, since the angular amplitude is non existent as the bob won't be able to reach the expected angular amplitude i.e. 180 degree, and stops at 130 degree and performs projectile motion. Am I Right?

    Not sure if I'll get an answer from you out here after years, but the problem is that, I think
    Normal acceleration in semicircular oscillation here should be, or in any case should be
    a= v^2/l + g sin (theta)
    or depending on situation the sine could also be cosine but the point I want to make is that,
    from inertial frame of reference, to see it moving in tangential direction the normal acceleration should have something more than v^2/l as we're taking the other component to be g cos (theta) or depending on situation sine could also be used, but the Normal acceleration you talked about has got me really confusing.

    The velocity in second case v=√(u^2-2gl(1-cos∅))
    Is same as v=√(u^2+2as)
    Here u=u
    s=l(1-cos∅)
    a=-g.
    Hope it helps in remembering the formula.
    Also in first case it's same just a=+g
    s=lsin∅
    And u=0.

    sir in the first pendulum case why can't we take normal acceleration of the bob to be 3g sin theta(as T=3mg sin theta )

      answer of 2nd ques is true as tension is becoming is zero at 130 angle only so bob will not go further than that.
      i think here ques 5 must be wrong(as other four are correct) , i am not able to solve it

      @@hmmletssee3809 due to acceleration of car... You have to resolve acceleration into two components for equilibrium... Find angle theta at equilibrium then apply WET for finding Velocity
      May or may not be correct 🤔

    Sir I think second question 's answer is wrong because it's the tension which is becoming zero at 130° not velocity as angular amplitude is point where v=0 ....
    Can pg please tell me in vertical wall question the horizontal acceleration of Bob will be 10 m/S2 or not
