Hi ActionKid! What a nice walk thru downtown Sarasota & to the marina. I knew Sarasota looked "high end" but seeing the marina confirmed it. Lol! I visited a girlfriend who lives in Sarasota & her house & neighborhood looked "high end" but she never took me too the downtown area or the marina. If she did I would have found a bench & sat a the marina all day, Lol!! 🛥⛵🛥⛵🌞👍🏽
I agree with you. . I love the Ocean and all water ways . Nothing is more relaxing than sitting and enjoying the water . I will sometimes bring my fishing rod and hope to catch Dinner ☺ . Action kid is AWESOME . He is my go to guide for new exciting locations .⚓🌅⛵

It's nice seeing my city through tourist eyes instead of just going from place to place. There is a nice park to the left of the marina as well. My kids loved it when young.

"I wonder what building this is?" @ 01:51 is Selby Public Library. Isn't it gorgeous? It is one of many architectural beauties within the Sarasota County Library System. Telecoms sent my family here 50 yrs ago. The weather is divine. Things are not always as they seem.😎
AK, you have an open ended plane ride back to NYC. I would stay until April and then it will be spring in NY! I absolutely love this Florida tour you're on and hate to see you leave! Please try to to Sanibel Island and Ft Myers while you are there... You will not be disappointed!
One more thing.... When you do arive back in NY, please do a video about the hotels, rates, beaches, experiences, YOU had in Florida! Would be very interested in hearing your perspective and the people (Robin Sophia) you had met up with while there...

Don't miss the (New York's famous WWII sailor kissing the nurse) statue. on main street. Also St Armond's circle Lido key beach and Siesta Key Beach on the other side the bridge
Hey don’t know how long you’re in Sarasota for but you should check out Saint Armands Circle it’s not that far from downtown Sarasota my family had a condo for many many years in longboat key Sarasota is beautiful
First watch is a chain that’s primarily down in the south. They do just breakfast and brunch. A usual place for many as it’s really good. It’s somewhat comparable to Kiki’s which is their main competition.
It's a very nice town. Visited first two weeks of April. My elementary school friends from Pittsburgh live there, so I have someone to visit. I want to go back this fall!

If you were by Marina Jack's you missed the entire Bayfront Park right there!!!! A tiki bar is there, a park for the kids and benches with paved walkways all around the bay area.....next trip right?????

4:17 cue homeless guy. Lived over 40 years there and Five Points has always been a magnet for people down on their luck. Back in the 80s the hippies pretty much claimed that area. I would move back in second just waiting for retirement.😂
Also all the site places for example Saint Armands Siesta Key those areas a billionaire places but again the big problem Sarasota is a parking lot you go to those areas you are in traffic for at least an hour and a half then try to find parking at the beaches insane it just started building up but again they are not doing the proper structure for the city to accommodate getting around 41 is one way going one way going the other way that's it that's the main road so if you want to live in a town where you're constantly literally constantly in major traffic worse than the LIE in NY. n New York. The Ritz-Carlton is a lovely place but they built the pool between two buildings and you do not get Sunshine until 4 p.m. and when people find out when they get there are very annoyed and the people tell them well this is something you should have looked into before coming here that's what they say. They have small new overpriced hotels in the little city which I all squished together but my favorite is the Lido Resort in Siesta Key it is not super modern is right on the beach and it has a simple little pool nothing extravagant but you can do pool and beach at the same time instead of staying in the city and renting a car and trying to get to the beach good luck

The nice building you referred to is a library. You seemed to have missed All the homeless that live around there and the park. The Salvation Army n a bus stop is near so lots of homeless. PS they are not homeless they are addicts that don’t want to work.

Sarasota has been a resort attraction for a long time. My parents married in Sarasota over 80 years ago.
