Lived here in 2003 doing a project. Loved the beaches, love the Hyatt Regency, visit as often as I can. Try Morrone's on 53rd in Bradenton. Good proper Italian food!
Thanks for your opinion. Surely Lakewood Ranch isn’t going to appeal to everybody in the world. That doesn’t take away from the fact that it’s the top selling multi generational master planned community in the country. You can’t disagree with facts.
at 63 have spent most of my life in the gulf gate area...but on the north side of clark off lockwood ridge. fortunate to have family that bought a number of lots, and only put a few houses back in the 50s...hence half acre plus yards...left for Georgia for a few years, back here now two years and appreciate it even more. The amount of ammenities within minutes is amazing, yet get back home to semi country life. Cant imagine what the properties are worth now...wouldnt matter...would never sell.
Really good and informative video. Thank you Zach for making this video. I live in Florida and am thinking on moving to Sarasota with my family. Keep up the good work buddy!
I moved here from Fort Lauderdale (Coral Gables native) and love it as I always knew I would since I’ve loved this place forever. Have family on Captiva and Gasparilla Islands and have been trekking here for Thanksgiving & Passover since I was a toddler. The only thing that has me a bit worried is the seeming huge influx of Northerners relocating here in big numbers.
One of the best Sarasota videos out there, agree with all your opinions. We wound up buying the big middle on a large lot as we did not want a HOA, but it is a older house, so we have to do renovations. If a younger couple is on a budget but has energy to do renovations, there are lots of affordable options out there. HOA is a lifestyle, some love the community, others struggle with the rules.
@@claudiahansen4938I see! Venice has such a different vibe V.S. Sarasota especially the island and downtown area. Its super beautiful, albeit much older crowd and slower paced lifestyle! Its always a blessing to love where you live!
At what age range? Join a tennis club and you will find lots of beautiful, athletic 45+ women. If I was in my 20's I would be in a big city, unless you grew up here.
I have to ask but is it safe for black people and immigrants to move there because my wife and I just got approved for a home and was looking in this area. I just want us to be safe
Firstly, congratulations on your approval! In my experience Sarasota is safe for everybody. Just like any other cities there are higher crime parts of town. Crime mapping.com is a good resource I tell my clients to use to give them specific data on crimes that occur all over the country. You should check it out. If you have any other questions feel free to give me a call or text @ 941-444-1245. I’d love to assist in your home buying process!
@@ZachPayneSarasotaRealEstate thank you so much. I am really excited I can send you our pre approval letter but I am not sure on our exact timeframe is that okay. I will check out that website as well. Sarasota is so beautiful
Nice! I'd love to hear what makes Palm Aire "IT" for you! Are you a golfer. Do you enjoy the beautiful mature landscaping? Proximity to University Town Center and the shopping?
Kiteboarding is awesome! Today was a great day out on siesta key, I saw a few out there! Bird key park on the way to St. Armand’s is another popular spot for kiteboarding. I’ve always wanted to try it! You’ll have to give me lessons when you move down!🤣
@@ZachPayneSarasotaRealEstate hahahha ohhhh man... For that sport, you need patience and a lot of perseverance.... thank you for letting me know those great kite spots... will go this weekend to check :)
You’ll love it like I do. Still, it feels weird driving home from the bakery in mornings expecting to be swamped by bumper to bumper traffic everywhere and there is just none of it.

A very good honest review of Sarasota that will help a lot of people. :-)
Regardless of what they claim Lakewood Ranch is not the number one master plan community. You should research first.

Agreed. Sarasota is growing at a rate that seems like the infrastructure can’t keep up with.
I'm looking to relocate from Miami. Which areas would you recommend?
Zach, this was the most refreshing video about Sarasota housing I have seen in two years of research. Love how you break things down!
Thank you Philip!
Great job, I just moved to Gulf Gate.
Thank you and congratulations!

Love Gulf Gate. But we live in Nokomis and are happy here! Great video!
Thanks Claudia! Gulf gate is so Fun! What about Nokomis made you move there over Sarasota?
@@ZachPayneSarasotaRealEstate we adore downtown Venice, Nokomis Beach, and large lot size of Venice

Good job! But you forgot to mention the hottest neighborhood in Sarasota _ South Gate.
downtown is the best lace to be bottom line
nice.
Super helpful video, thank you!
You're welcome!
Wow...looks exciting...drink drink drink up those cocktails...get wasted...
Downtown portion was not accurate. Left out Rosemary, Laurel Park and Gillespie Park.
All three are walkable to Downtown SRQ.
West of the trail
As long as you are not too near the trail....can get loud.
No single women....if your gay, that's great....

5 years as a snowbird. Exactly right, the proximity to WTC, 75, beaches is central and I love my neighborhood. No golf for me though.

I prefer Hallandale beach Florida beautiful city good beaches and restaurants and growing businesses and communities, and good night life.🫡🇺🇸
Nope. Hallandale is blah. East coast doesn't hold a candle to the gulf coast. Give it up already.
