This is one of the main sheet metal projects I've got on my plate...complete trunk pan replacement. I have to do the front floorpanels left and right, but the tunnel and door sills are really good as well as the rear seat pan, thank goodness. I feel a little overwhelmed by the trunk because it will have to be all replaced. Man, I appreciate these videos, more than I can say in these comments! Superb guidance and easily understandable instructions!
Thank you Sir ! you may want to build a frame fixture to support the car if the work is that in-depth.
Man good stuff can’t wait to see the welding of the quarter panel! Keep up the great work!
In progress !
Thanks for showing the wheelhouse mount cover plate install in such detail. My 62's driver side is pretty bad and this gave me a much clearer idea of what I need to do!
Awesome !
How nice with a new video. So clean and super nice. Wordclass quality on your job
Thank you Sir !
Hey that is really top quality workmanship! I bet most shops never go this in-depth with the detail, really nice work.
There are a few... but most no.....
Such an incredible job, brother. What you can accomplish is truly awesome.
Thanks brother !
I was worried about those rocker braces and wondering what you were gonna do, but as usual you have it worked out. Great job!
I found some really nice replacements Milton
It feels like that body is coming together pretty quick now. Lot of work to get to this stage.
It's starting to resemble a 63 again.
I'm really enjoying your restoration videos on the x-frame cars. Looks like your using a 62 lower trunk floor. Probably easier to modify for a 63 than vice versa like I just had to do. I'm sure you are aware that the trunk floors that are listed as fitting 61-64 Chevy full size are actually patterned after a 63. I just had to modify one to fit a 62, which is identical to the rear edge on your panel. I'm looking forward to your next video.
Thanks for following the channel !
It's crazy the prices of parts and materials...... everything keeps getting more expensive..... $40-$50 for a can of primer.... I know it has zinc in it, but wow ! yeah I see why you say you use it sparingly! Great work by the way, I wish you would build me a car!😁
Yeah material/parts prices are out of sight with no relief in sight ......
❤
Thanks !! Glad to have you aboard.
12:15 for work like this, screws are better than Clecos?
The screws are faster and only 1 step instead of 2 ... but either will work.
@@guzzifabrication3448 Ok thanks. I appreciate the info!
I have that same blue ford tractor lol Question. Is that POR 15 weld thru?
Ford 5000 w/loader, yes that is P.O.R. 15
Do you usually Finnish them out complete? As in paint too?
Yes I do A to Z
Where did you find the reinforcements? I didn't think those were being reproduced.
The Chevy shop in El Monte CA has them repop. There excellent quality also
Yes that is where I got mine. They make them I believe and are 100% quality in form and fit. Gonna have to crank up amperage.....heavy duty steel
@@six4chevy780 Thanks for the info!
Are you taking on any work at this time ?
@@luiscruz2280 I have a wait list, what do you have?
I. Love your videos just wondering I have a 1963. Chevy Impala how much do you charge to replace the floor
Thanks !!! you are welcome to message me guzzifabrication@yahoo.com
That must cost alot of money to rebuild just the metal work probably cost more than finding a running or solid 63 rag for cheaper that dont need that much work
Sometimes....
How much does the full body work cost if you brought a car in for restoration? Ballpark?
What type of vehicle is it? what does it need? and what is your budget?
@@guzzifabrication3448 65 impala convertible. Not sure on budget honestly. The car appears in great condition when I bought it but I am considering a frame off in the future. I'm sure the nice paint job and outside appeal is covering up plenty of repairs.
@@guzzifabrication3448 1965 Impala convertible. Appears to be in great shape when I bought it but I would like to do a frame off in a few years. Although it looks great I'm sure there's plenty hiding under the surface.
This is the formulafor a full restoration: 1. completely strip / disassemble vehicle 2. install onto rotisserrie 3. media blast / apply DP90 epoxy primer 4. assess repairs 5. start putting numbers and a restoration plan together 6. before any major project is undertaken or considered it's a must to come to the table with a budget.
