To say that Lisa McGee is an incredible writer is an understatement. Lisa is absolutely exceptional at writing but remains so humble and graceful. I'm in awe of her writing in Derry Girls - the character development, the dynamics between each character, the humour, the vulnerability, and all of the other emotions she evokes in the viewer is so cleverly crafted. Upon watching the show a few times, you realise that there are so many poignant moments and you can see the beauty of every wee detail. The cast are utterly amazing too. I'm a Scottish Pakistani girl and I found it all so relatable - it's a show I'll always treasure because it was all themed around friendship and love at the core.
I also adore the fact that Lisa took her moment there to inspire other writers to chase their dreams no matter how far fetched or impossible they may seem. I hope I can achieve my dreams one day and I hope everyone else can as well.

Derry Girls was a brilliant show - absolutely hilarious.
So wish they would put It on dvd.
It could be a rights issue. Or a copyright reason. All seasons are available on all 4. As a boxset
