I liked the music too and always jumped in right after it started. I didn't even know there was that little intro until getting this class together ha.
Fun fact I heard somewhere, in the original draft, Firebug was the final boss, and joker was merely a cutscene. Apparently a lot of people hated not getting a chance to punch Mistah J, so the final battle was added in.
The quality of this series is so good! Batman on NES is so good! You make it look easy. I don't think anyone wrote any threatening letters to Sunsoft over this one.
I wouldn't be surprised if 5-1 and the Joker might have caused a letter or two, but I love this game despite the difficulty. And thank you for the kind words, Mono!
As a kid, I never managed to beat this one. I made it to the Joker exactly once, died to him repeatedly, and... needed to return the game to the rental store before I got another shot.
I’m trying to guess what game will hit the 10/10 difficulty and what the reference will be … and is anyone else hooked on the Scary Gary boss’ beaters jingle? Just me?
The fact that u can stun-lock enemies with your normal punch as u jump into them and u take zero damage is a really big part of making the game a lot easier. You can literally use it to jump into those ledge guarding flame thrower guys, making the platforming 10 times easier
I want Fluff the Cat's magical pipe. He smokes underwater. He also breathes and speaks underwater. You have one powerful and wise friend in Fluff the Cat.
Real talk the NES pixel art is beautiful on this game. I wonder how much of that is watching this on my 2022 smartphone vs. Playing it on a crappy six inch TV that was black and white with bunny ears in the '80s? Remember bunny ears and the six knobs to change the channel? The black and white static that would sometimes bleed through into gameplay?
Yep, I kind of wish I still had one of those tvs. As my folks got more modern tvs in the 90's, I got the old smaller set like you're describing with the analog knobs and was still playin SNES on it by the mid 90's ha.
Well done, Professor. I love this game. I had no idea you could bait some of the later bosses like that into fairly easy patterns. Will you do the Sunsoft sequel to this Batman:Return of the Joker(?) in the future? Either way congrats you have a new subscriber. Keep up the great work.
@@VideoGames101 You're more than welcome, Professor. I'll keep checking out your other videos and I look forward to whatever you do next. Thanks again for doing this.
So glad the professor picked a great game!!!
Gotta play the classics, thanks Spoon!
Really nice work on Joker, you guys made that look easy and boy it is NOT.
Thank you; he's in the top 10 hardest NES bosses without a doubt so I seriously appreciate it.
Always rember this as a kid always loved to hear the intro music before I started playing

Ha and they instantly regretted it.

I knew there was SOMEONE haha, thanks BBJ.
I've gotten better at games as I've grown older [keep in mind I'm still not good], never beat the game... but had a good time playing
That's a testament to how good the game is. You want to play it despite the very decent degree of difficulty.
@@VideoGames101 btw Get Gud. Hahahaha

Ha yeah I remember playing games under the wire, hours or minutes before they were due back to the rental store.

Haven't hit it yet, but it's coming. The game or games from which the scale has been created!

Don't give him an even bigger head!
Played through this without getting killed, felt like a hero, finally did something my better gamer friend didn't 🤭
That's impressive to do as a kid, this game is no joke attempting a no death run.
Would like to see a class on werewolf the last warrior
Ah Warwolf! Added to the very quickly growing list, thanks J!

you called Firebug Killer Moth in the timeline
Fixed, thank you!
Also if u have full health going into boss fights(other than the joker) u can just burst most of them down and they will die before u

Thank you Gunner, and I just added Batman: Return of the Joker to the todo list!

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do Robocop by Data East on NES. I could barely get past the 1st level as a kid and would love to watch you play it.
Added it to the list, good call!
