THE best budget backpack. I have in 3 sizes. Terrific handles. The stowaway pocket is very useful for stowing water bottle, etc. Definitely a backpack and not an electronics gear bag.

I saw it doesn't have a separated compartment for the laptop, would you consider a deal breaker ? or the space it has for a macbook is good and safe enough? btw, I have a 15.9" macbook.
Have you heard of a laptop briefcase? This is what professionals use when traveling.
And why you are allowed to take two items on a plane.
No rational person puts an expensive laptop in a cheap backpack.

For the cost of the Nomatic 40L bag, would you recommend this bag vs that one for travel? Of course cost being a huge factor, but would this bag be sufficient?
I recommend the bag I travel with today which is ebag weekender pro if you can find it. It is more expensive than the Matein Weekender but much better managed in its space. .... been using it around the world for 7 years... it's amazing. Good luck!
