Yes, that's what I'm talking about! A brief summary of budget-friendly backpacks with a link to your review of each of them if we want to learn more. Tomtoc has been on my list for a while now, but I've still got a few months that I can research before I travel in July. Tomtoc is looking like a winner though!
Now we're doing reviews for the "people", the blue collars, the farmers, the shopkeepers. family of five on a budget and me. But would you dare do a Backpack reviews under $50.? A challenge if you wish to accept it. Perhaps even bring it up on your podcasts that's being watched by a growing subs. Cowabunga from The Land Down Under.!
Thank you sir. Your other videos had backpacks too expensive but this one is great. Snagged the Matein backpack for 28 bucks on amazon's flash deal. It was meant to be, never had that happened before.
@@Nomads.Nation i can't see if there is a dangle stopper on the backpacks, do they? like you i just hate the dangle. looking into it, i prefer my aer more, however, mopak has more cool colors than aer. i think i am going to try their tech pouch 1st.
Thanks! I own the Matein Travel backpack, but as someone who sweats a lot, its back cooling feature doesn't work well for me. I'm also considering the Mopak City Cycle Backpack lately and would love to hear your thoughts on it.
I bought my Daypack from Mopak last year, and it's been surprisingly convenient for my work as a cameraman. What I appreciate most is the ease of access; you can simply swing it over your right shoulder, open the top with your left hand, and grab your camera in one smooth motion. It's straightforward and hassle-free, which is exactly what I need when moving between locations to capture shots
Something I noticed, why is it that cheaper brands always seem to have tons of color ways while premium names just have like 3-4 at most? Is it a cost/quality thing?
@@Nomads.NationI really love the tomtoc 28l...do you think that (if not too stuffed) it can fit under seat of the most restrictive companies (Ryanair etc)?
@@DavideNastri I can't say for sure. Check the Tomtoc dimensions, add an inch or two for when its "stuffed" and then cross-check the airline you are looking to fly on
Such a wonderful video thanks Aaron. I am traveling to Greece and Bali for 1 month and a half in August and September, and I am debating on a budget one or investing a little bit more into it and getting the Aer Travel Pack XPack (the small one because the normal one is not passing the Qatar carry on limitations) I am still not sure ! Maybe it would be worth just going for the Aer since I plan to travel more often in the future and doing road trips? Thanks aagain Aaron !
I’m a fan of both bags that bring value and bags that are super premium. I would say that an Aer bag will likely last longer than a more budget bag, but that’s a decision for you and your personal financial situation. But the Aer TP3 usually doesn’t disappoint ;)
@@Nomads.Nation Thanks Aaron ! I will get the Tomtoc for now to save some money and in the future I might get the Aer one ! Worst case scenario I have 2 travel ones - which is not that bad !! Cheers !!
Thanks so much! I have not but from everything I’ve heard I agree it probably would have been a great addition to this list. Hopefully I can get my hands on one soon
Were there any reasons why you have never evaluated Wenger Synergy backpacks? Their quality and versatility outperform any of the backpacks shown in the video.
Any chance you can review the kaslo 30Liter daypack? It is somewhat budget friendly compared to other brands and its from a well known company too. Thanks nomad nation!
Do any of these have a hip belt? I’ve just decided I can’t carry 30+ liters without a hip belt but I’m not seeing one on any of the budget packs. It can’t be THAT expensive to add a hip belt!
Huge fan of my adidas backpack. Only big concern are the zippers, but for dirt cheap that my friend got for me... it is insane and I'm pretty good at taking care of my stuff. I wonder why people don't review the ll bean backpacks more. The deluxe backpack for the price isn't terrible at all and the comfort is a lot better than the straight straps. Also have a few jansports. Problem with them with me are they're not comfortable.
I just got the Inateck, and people should be warned that the huge laptop compartment has very little padding at the bottom. I will have to add some extra protection for my computer. Otherwise it appears as I expected.
@@Nomads.Nation I’m sure it will still do it’s job of getting me from the airport to the cruise ship with as much as I would want to carry. Thanks for the helpful review.
clicked in for a backpack video, and was stunned by the callous and inaccurate racism at 4:08. southeast asia has a far lower crime rate than regions such as the US, africa, and various parts of south america.
I'll admit that I didn't reference any data in regards to my statement, but calling the guy who lived in Thailand (one year), Hong Kong (six years) and Vietnam (8 months, and here currently) "callously racist" just doesn't land.
That Mopak is a blatant copy of the PGYtech OneMo Backpack 18L. Minus the internal shelves, cause it’s not for photo gear and just the upper flap is reversed. Even the internal colour and materials are the same. (Maybe they are under the same parent company? Can’t find info on that)
Can you keep your backpack around $100? I'd buy one if you put all that thought into it. I don't care about the small pocket in the strap. I'd rather have a strap that doesn't come off the main bag and break.
the bag almost costs that much to make, let alone ship around the world! We will def look into maker more accessibly priced bags at some point, but right now I'm very focused on making the highest quality bags from the highest quality materials made by the highest quality sewers

Believe it or not, when I saw Jansport on your list, the thought crossed my mind whether you had created an “April Fools video”.
ha nope! great brand for the price
@@arlencarlson Nothing wrong with Jansport mate. It's not what you use, it how you use it.

its a great freaking pack for the price, no doubt

very few good travel bags under 50, I think it's wroth mention amazonbasic carry on and amazonbasics carry on slim backpacks.

that's an interesting question, and I would think your answer probably is on point.
Tomtoc or inateck? Which one has a better quality? And can any of them be used as a cabin bag, like a carry on or as a personal item bag?
both are great, maybe a slight edge to Tomtoc
