I just double tap M2 then foot on brake and floor it and it comes up with launch control active then I drop the brake and she (X5M first edition) just flies off

I have the run flat summer tires that came with the car. I think the tires are like a $600 option but they aren’t very good lol lots of tire spin,I had launched it twice before this and it spun through first and second gear each time, The trick to launching these rwd cars is you have to get the tires VERY warm. I believe my tire temps were at around 135 degrees
I would pick up some Michelin pilot sport 4s. I have the 22’ m240 so I’m awd. But I believe that is one of the best tires to daily on with the best grip. Better side wall so less body roll and better grip. If your still having issues you may have to go extreme like michielin cup 2’s or wider tires, don’t drive in the rain with cup 2’s.
@@cobbfutbol62 dude your capping. Those tires spun on my ford focus st, not to mention they have the worst side wall EVER and create body roll. of all “sport” tires imo they are the worst. I can’t stress that enough. It’s an all season tire. 😂
Holding it down will fully disable traction control giving the car all the power it wants without having to slow down because of the tires gripping and slipping up👍

On the M340i apparently you can only launch it when pressing tc once and not fully disabling traction control.. I feel if they allowed launch control to work when traction control was fully off, it would launch harder.
Just traded mine in for a Model Y Performance. The BM was great, and fast off the line without launch to be honest, but I actually prefer the Tesla day to day. It’s much easier to drive fast.

Yes you can do it, (traction control off) floor the break hard with your left foot and your right foot on the accelerator (Max 3000 RPMS).

No. It'll change for you even in manual mode, it won't bounce off the limiter (I think you can tune for it, but by default it'll shift)

I have the factory 255 Michelin PS4's and they grip really well. I am tuned and I can stil grip in first gear. Ran an 11.4 at the track.
