Pre capture in Raw was something I wished I had in Kenya a few weeks ago. It would have been so useful. Same as open gate recording and 8k120 burst.

I came down to London today / yesterday and got my Z8 + 24-120 today, [after leaving my D750 on a train in Italy, it has felt as if my hand had been cut of] traded in my old D300S could not be happier.
A 28-400mm would be a great travel lens and a welcome replacement for the old 28-300.

Great to see you're both still doing this with Becky from the US! I really like your posts. As a retired long-time pro who almost never buys gear but wanting to get into mirrorless (small sensor) I'm hearing rumors of a Z mount version of the circa 2010 game-changer 18-200mm (for small sensor) from back in 2010 which was an excellent moneymaker for me. Any word on this from your world on this? Now that I'm retired I'm no longer in NPS and am basically on the outside looking in these days.

I'd like to see more image formats like 645 and 5x4 for the 8 and 9. Crazy the D850 had more options than the Z cameras.
Very little in terms of firmware updates for sports snappers. High ISO noise reduction needed!
My wishlist for the Z9/Z8 are more on the video side of the camera. I would love to have a shutter angle setting in video mode. I would also like a complete separation between the photo and video PASM modes. For example, if you're shooting photos in aperture priority mode, the camera assumes that when you switch to video, you also want to shoot in aperture priority mode rather than the last mode you used in video (usually manual). This makes no sense for video as you don't want your shutter speeds to change in video mode. Nikon is a couple easy firmware changes away from making killer cinema cameras out of the Z9/Z8. Also, anamorphic desqueezing would be dope 😄

Given I still use my D850 for a lot of things, the F-mount lenses I have will stick around forever. :)

What's the resolution on the ZF if crop to APSC? Why Nikon call APSC as DX, make it looks cooler than it is? I thinking to get ZF instead of A7RV because I shot for fun and art but I will miss the unique 4 ways screen!
My favorite color is yellow, do you have any yellow themes lens to match with ZF?
I plan to get Laowa 15mm macro, TTArtisan 50mm Tilt and TTArtisan 100mm Tilt Shift 2X Macro lens, I not sure I should add another yellow themes lens, from yours and other Nikon videos I found the Voigtländer series of lens with yellow distance scale of marking and also some red, green and blue colors too, not sure which to get yet to fit into these lens I will get but why Nikon lenses has these 4 colors themes which on their retro and older bodies too?

It’s only taken Ilford a mere century and a half to discover the world isn’t all black and white. . .I’m not sure I want a 200 ISO film with such pronounced grain, though. (Are they by any chance eyeing the Gen Z retro youth?) But I hope we won’t have to wait another 150 years for a fine grain version. Anyway, since I started off with Ilford film in my first 35mm camera at the age of eleven (many) decades ago, and I have some in my fridge at this very moment, I’m happy for them, and I’ll have to give it a try.
