Still think the Motorola Thinkphone represents a better value than either of these phones, but I have to concede each phone has its bright points. Really looking forward to your impressions on the Moto G Stylus (2024). I appreciate the Stevealicious take on devices.
the 8a has a deal breaker issue for me. if you want to screen record, you'll deal with desynchronized audio which is a pain for anyone making tiktoks etc
Great content as always, being a pixel & Samsung super fan this is great comparison that really makes you think 🤔 both are awesome for what they are but id have to go for pixel cus of cameras & 7 years of support, but man id miss having a bigger display & oneui of course!
@@paulmitchell4421 if there is a problem with connectivity like with the 7a, I mention it. There is no issue with either of these. You can rest easy now. I know it keeps you up nights. And ease off with the ignorance. You’ve used it a couple times now. Don’t like the channel, then bug off.
Steve, at 4:27 I think you proved our point for us. Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 is made by Samsung the same company that makes Exynos and Tensor. Tensor doesn't get a pass, it's a bad Samsung chip too.
And the a35 Steve my friend as for as size for me 8a is to small. Great video as always preach Steve ❤✊🏾 on the 8gen1 the plus is better like in the one plus 10t
I'm sorry but my experience with the tensor was so horrendous that it was unusable. Its rare for me to say that about any phone but the tensor has to be the worst I've ever seen. Summer has now begun and last year my pixel couldn't deal with it in the day time outside and would overheat like crazy. It was so bad that it would just crash and turn off until it cooled down. All it was doing was Android Auto and Navigation. Unless you live in the North Pole, get the Samsung. I hate Samsung because of their horrid business practices, my memories of TouchWiz, the Note 7, the audacity to put ads in the UI and a lot more but at least its a usable phone in the daylight. I'm not saying these are things that are happening now but thats just why I personally don't like or trust Samsung.
I ran a s22u(8 gen 1) as a primary and 6a as secondary and they both warmed up like crazy lol, I have the 8a now and it doesn't heat up like the 6a and s22u did!!!
@@eveylopez6742 did your Samsung heat up, turn into a slideshow, shut off and leave you stranded? Mine did that every morning. The worst was when it did it in the wrong part of town. It'd also overheat during rain storms. Sometimes it'd just lose signal on the highway. None of my other phones did that in the same locations. I can see that you're trying to defend Google's bad product but the phone was terrible because of the bad soc.
@@orangeyellow-me1pz my s22u with 8g1 wouldnt heat up to that point but I'm sure it was close. It would just get so laggy while also doing Android Auto I had to get an ac vent mount and just put the phone there in order for it to not lag so bad
@@eveylopez6742 mine shut off with the electric cooler attached though it did lessen the frequency to which it happened. The gen 1 did heat up but it wasn't unusable and it didn't lose signal in addition to heating up.
I just can't trust pixel devices. I've had a lot of devices but the Pixel 6 then 8 pro turned me away from Pixel forever. My 6 had more bugs than any other phone I've ever had. Then the 8 pro had a horrible modem and would get warm doing nothing other than being in my pocket. Last straw for me was my wife and I were in a restaurant and her Iphone 15 pro max had full service while my pixel 8 pro had no service at all.
@@StevealiciousTech I'm currently using a Samsung Galaxy a54 fully unlocked version on my no contract prepaid Verizon and it takes great photos, great video call quality and reception are good in my area for the most part. I'm going to get another phone in the future but a phone with a snapdragon processor for better call quality and reception overall.
Both have their advantages, for cheaper, I'd go the S23 FE, but the Pixel 8a has some serious advantages.
Surprisingly my pixel 8a doesn't overheat much at all 🙏
Same here, I also have the 6a and that thing heats up lol
@eveylopez6742 i never had a problem with my 6a overheating when I had it. But my 6, 6pro, and 7 had issues with overall
@@NowKissMyChucks guess I got one of the ones that heat up lol
I'm having that issue on and off but other than that and a few other small things the 8a is a good phone to use
Both chipsets are made by Samsung in my country,Tensor and Exynos. However,I will go for Pixel as it's a better camera and it's more compact
Still liking my S20 FE with the Spigen Tough Armor case, will be three years in June since I bought my phone. No issues or lags at all.
omg me to man its still crazy good
@yuvashankarkj1565 Yeah, it is a great, but I changed from the Spigen case to a basic black TPU case I found an Amazon.
@@yuvashankarkj1565 Still a great evening even though I don't use the Spigen case anymore.
Pixel 8a best camera than any other phone

Actually comes June 5th I think.
I picked up the 2024 stylus today at Best Buy. It’s a very nice phone.
@@StevealiciousTech As discussed, the reg 8 is 549 on Amazon in Obsidian/128GB. Picked one up for kicks 😂.

Yeah, it's a balance for sure! And I can see going either way but the 8a does offer some nice features but I do enjoy OneUI

The camera is a little weird. The colors on some of my pictures are not the true colors of the items in real life.

Why I'm glad ive got the exynos s23fe I get between 7 and 8 hours
Which one is better in terms of battery performance? Thanks in advance
Pixel ofc
Snapdragon is on the s23 fe ONLY IN THE US
For what I'm looking for in a phone, the A55 is better than both of these (when you take price into consideration).
