Credit to GeekSource for this team idea btw, check them out at twitch.tv/geeksource -- I am ashamed that I somehow am a Dehya/Candace enthusiast and didn't have the idea myself lol.
They posted a clip on my Discord server which is why this even ended up in my list of video ideas lol. I totally forgot that was where I got the idea, otherwise I would have mentioned it in the video. Big L on my part honestly, another side effect of this video being a bit more rushed out. Couple additional thoughts on the team below:
Firstly, since it wasn't obvious, I don't think I mentioned that I didnt use an EM timepiece on Dehya in this video, which wouldve been meaningfully better. I just didnt have one on Shimenawas lol. So the potential dmg ceiling for forward Vape Dehya with an EM timepiece on 4pc MH with Mailed Flower instead of Spine could be a lot higher than what was shown this video. There is room to grow compared to how I had her equipped, that I am confident of.
Secondly, I wanted to discuss using Nahida instead of XL as an option in this team.
EDIT: I had a big ol wall of text talking about Nahida here, but I have now deleted it because I was able to test it, and the burning aura does not stay on enemies to consistently forward vape Dehyas plunges, so you basically have to use XL sadly. It is mostly an issue of Dehya plunging, getting a big forward vape, but then because of how slow Dehyas skill is to reapply pyro, you can get up to two more non vaped plunged in before her skill reapplies pyro and restarts the burning aura on enemies allowing another vape. Which is obviously a LOT worse than XL. Oh well. We need more off field pyro options that are not XL...
In hindsight should've tested Nahida, but also the video wouldve been more complicated then so oh well

Eyooo I love fixing a character by ignoring the character's element! I do really love how Xianyun has give claymores a buff, obviously, but also has given infusion characters like Cabdace a buff. Everyone has focused on Bennett's infusion but plunging for Hydro or Cyro can be equally valuable and I really enjoy seeing you use it here. Love these spur of the moment vids!

Candace & Dehya are two of my favorite character designs in Genshin. Dehya's a cool mercenary chick and Candace has a pretty Egyptian-esque look.
Such a shame Mihoyo nerfed their kits so much...
Agreed lol. Its not too hard for me to find ways to use either of them nowadays though

Yeah, I think they're usable, just not as good as they could have been. It would have been nice if their kits were as good as their in game lore though.

The funny thing you mentioned about using her burst is actually a big issue is that I actually calced with Chevy on fav and my Raiden at her own ER plus using Bennett because I'm a shill, it reduced Dehya's (C0) ER from over 200% to about 140%. This plus farming for Nymph's Dream and accidentally getting a god set on Dehya makes me want to build her just to see how it would do. Nothing related to Candace. It's just Chevy has made me cook more than when I worked in fast food and Dehya Delite is that dish.
this is an interesting timing! Bzerq also uploaded a dehya+candace video today. any love to dehya-candace is welcomed.
it's interesting to see how you two came to essentialy the same team. but, i must say, the approach Bzerq gives opens different team posibilities, using the same characters. one thing that he touches is the idea of candace being the main dps, something many don't even consider when speaking of dehya-candace sinergy.
still, i love seeing how, from different starting points, the conclusion was basically the same, that dehya+candace is finally viable in a "competitive" level and we dehya-candace lovers are not crazy at all
Will checkout Bzerqs video! This video was put together pretty quickly lol, so I forgot to test some things and mention possible options a bit with it. Candace being the on fielder in this team isnt that satisfying to me personally, since Dehya doesnt really enable anything unique for Candace, but Candace does enable something unique to Candace. I really enjoy plunge DPS Candace though, and made a video about that last month

If you need a target to test your rotations on, I can highly recommend SIMON. It has enough HP to not get blown up immediately unless you have a REALLY strong team and it always starts with the same attack while being completely stationary :D
Ty, I will try to remember to do that for initial testing, I do have fun getting whomped by the local legends generally though lol.
I really wish there was a good AoE option to test teams with though (new local legends dont work because of permanent aura on them)

man she’s such a beautiful character, they did her dirty. I have her but she’s on the back burner for now and maybe some day I can work on her.
Weve got so many supportive options enabling different potential playstyles now that unless new content is released (or they make Abyss WAY harder, which I doubt), that we are kinda spoiled on ways to make characters kits work even if they dont seem very good. Dehyas kit actually has lots of interesting specifics that make her more fun compared to many other units imo

yes leveling Dehya after getting her C1 is one of the best decisions I've made on this account, tho I'm sure people would laugh at me for saying that. It's the most fun I've had since I built Heizou and Childe. Damage and kit flaws not withstanding she feels so good to play. @@Solunerra
@@Hiro.the.God. It is definitely a lot worse than this one was, but it was very fun to play, and used Dehyas entire kit still. Focused more on ground pounding with Dehya on Sac Sword, and alternating between that and her burst, which actually made farming her artifacts worthwhile over an emblem build lol

Have you considered using Dehya with R5 Katsuragikiri Nagamasa and Candace with R5 Kitain Cross Spear? It can solve their ER problems and you can focus on damage stats, such as an atk goblet and crit ratio.
Candace didnt really crazy ER problems since she doesn't need to be built for much other than ER. She wants a lot to be clear, so its not easy to build, but easier than XL, whose issue is needing a TON of ER in this context, but also needing a good chunk of dmg stats (crit) to make her relevant to use over Nahida, for example (see my pinned comment for a wall of text discussing Nahida lol). Candace can do ER timepiece, 2pc emblem 2pc exile with an ER timepiece and crit circlet on Fav lance and now you are over 220% ER with 0 ER substats. You'd want slightly more than that for comfortability imo, but when you dont need to worry about DPS stats its much more doable than XL who wants towards 250% ER in this team, and still wants crit to deal dmg
Dehya is not using her burst in this team btw (I only mention Fav on her at the end for fixing XLs ER issues, not because Dehya needed energy), so R5 Katsu isnt really relevant for her, but could be an option for Dehya used more like my original video. As for Candace on Kitain, it could enable higher personal dmg theoretically (since Candace herself gets some vapes in this team), but I think in practice not running Fav makes things a lot more awkward particularly because Candace may only get one skill per rotation in this team (I often had to extend rotation times slightly in this vidso to use an extra Candace skill either to get her burst back or for more Fav particles to get XL burst back)

@@bird5724 No worries, it is an interesting idea that I would like to test if billets were not the rarest resource in the game... Most likely you could try to do an alternating rotation on fielding Dehya with a normal burst build and plunge Candace, checkout "call of Bzerq" if you want to see that in action! He coincidentally made that video today lol
Def a must try, seems a fun team comp. At least it make seem Dehya somehow useful (i've used her almost only to support Neuvillette with an instructor set, Nahida and Kazuha, so...yeah.).
It feels way better than the generic Bennett C6 vape plunge stuff to me, and makes much more use of Dehyas kit specifically. Definitely did not expect it to be this good

cloud can swirl with NA as well... cloud stuff->candace->NA cloud->xianling-dehya. that way u can have more candace buff.
Yeah I used Xianyun really poorly this video lol. I have been using DPS Cloud Retainer a lot the last few weeks and now Ive got bad habits with when to use her skill too. Honestly I think Im mostly not gonna bother with VV on her most of the time, its not worth thinking about or making rotations feel more awkward.

I also love Candace and dehya so my team for them is with nahida and kuki and make Candace a DPS and dehya make her a also DPS but give her some Em like 450 or 500 that is my favourite team I clean my abyss so easily and funny with them

hey im not much of a commenter, but i was wondering what teams would be good for furina. my team is furina, raiden, navia and yaoyao and my furina only does up to 7-11k dmg, and idk how to improve that😔

Seems fine for Furina dmg tbh, but I also generally have her on a powered down build personally. It’s very important for Furinas own dmg to have her burst always available on top of for buffing others. If you have met her ER needs for a given team and have her on golden troupe with decent substats she should perform well. In most teams Furina herself won’t be hitting huge dmg numbers unless playing her in vape teams, but she always is constantly dealing dmg as long as you are healing for her drain during her burst too

I dont blame you lol, but if you do like her Genshin offers so much creative freedom its not hard to make use of her in some form. Having her C6 really just helps her burst DPS playstyle, which is fun but only one way to play her. But yeah, Dehya is not the most efficient way of spending resources to say the least lol
Chronicle Wish number 2 or 3 is the way, gonna gather primos to spend on her and try to get C2

Have you tryed this team with Dahya on Rain Slasher and Furina insted of XL?
XL is necessary for the pyro application to enable Dehya to trigger forward Vapes consistently, but if you want do turn it into a pseudo mono hydro team it may work fairly decently still. Rainslasher in that context wouldnt give value to you for the EM stat in this case, other than when Dehyas skill hits vapes, so I would stick to other weapons personally. I think the Fontaine craftable may be one of the better options for the team you suggest

Ok I tested this out! I might put xianyun on Song of Days Past because the VV uptime is so low but I Candace E->Xianyun E + Q -> Xianling Q -> Candace Q -> Dehya plunge. I'm not sure how this rotation performs in longer fights but it can kill ASIMON in around 6 plunges and they're doing 88-102k
Yeah Candace E first to swirl hydro then switching to her again later like you mention is probably best for consistent hydro swirls, but only results in a few seconds of VV uptime, so yeah I agree with running her on Songs or Noblesse (I dont have Songs artifacts, but Id use it just to see higher Dehya numbers if I did lol)

it's always xl and also my C6 gaming probably does more then dehya like this using kazuha, bennett C6, gaming C6, yelan while vaping normally 1.5x mult instead of 2x like you are doing
XL is the only reliable and competent off field pyro applier in the game, so yeah, always XL lol. And yeah, if you want to get similar damage you can from plenty of other teams and units lol, but thats not really the point, and this Dehya team plays quite differently from a GaMing team relegated to Bennett circle impact, yada yada. Point is, you can play kinda whoever you want as an on fielder nowadays lol, the damage hardly matters. Just have fun playing the characters you like for whatever reason in whatever contexts

Mb use Song of Days Past on Xianyun? Although Noblesse is probably better because you double dip into 20% atk with with both Dehya multiplier and Xianyun passive

Yeah I’d guess noblesse is better, but this is a circumstance where I could use songs on Xianyun and Noblesse on Candace, which would be better. But Ive not farmed for songs lol

I had the idea to initially, but disregarded it because I figured mix of XLs dmg contribution plus dual pyro wouldve just made her better, but I hadnt considered some other upsides related to using Nahida, so I think it may be a better option than Id have initially thought. Will make a pinned comment shortly about it

The easy solution would be to just use chongyun for dehya melts instead
I imagine that would work decently, but Chongyun is not Candace lol. The flaw is the presumed anti synergy of Dehya + Candace, not getting Dehya to do dmg at all.
And you would be doing Dehya/Chongyun/Benny C6/Cloud, which is just going to be worse than the Furina vape variation by a lot, whereas the Candace variation genuinely has meaningful upside in not having to be circle impact. You can see the benefit of that a lot in this video by my ability to do a rotation start on one enemy, move to where the new one spawns, and continue getting forward vapes. I guess you could use XL instead of Bennett C6, but then that is just objectively worse dmg than forward vapes, which I showed you can get consistently here
@@Solunerra On top of all that circle impact stuff, there’s a big correction in that you legit can’t use Benny C6 with Chongyun for this type of team. With Candace it’s fine because she gets priority over the pyro infusion, but Chongyun doesn’t. He’d basically just be lowering cooldowns and maybe getting half his burst melts in that type is set up. Will need to be Nahida/XL for maintaining pyro or if Dehya E alone is enough, then C5 or lower Benny.
I also like solving the “presumed anti-synergy” characters have, and Chongyun definitely would not be the natural fit here. DILUC is his early game partner, NOT Dehya. And since this is a Dehya video, not a Chongyun/Diluc video, I agree that Candace reigns supreme as Dehya’s best choice. Like how will you get the essential gorgeous desert woman resonance without them together?

Yeah, she is definitely one of the great enablers imo. A little reliant on Furina in some contexts, but this is another team example showing that Furina isn't necessary!

Why not just put Candace on field since Deyha's skill is better than Xiangling burst...
Because of plunge multipliers on Dehya being higher at a baseline, no need to build crit on top of ER (Candace would still need to have ER if built to be on field but now would need a bunch of DPS stats). Claymores also can much more easily hit midair plunge dmg, which futher makes them better for plunging. By having Dehya do Hydro dmg you get better multipliers and can entirely put stats contributing towards dmg on her, and Candace just needs to be on energy duty for herself and others. I enjoy plunge Candace, to be clear (I made a video on it, feel free to check it out), but Dehya is a terrible teammate for plunge Candace, whereas Candace is a good teammate for plunge Dehya.
Also, no, Dehyas skill is not better than XL burst lol. XL hits far more frequently with her burst, and it always applies Pyro, which is very important (in this team especially, but also applies to most teams)
