As someone who's first 5* was Qiqi and I've loved and mained her for a very long time especially after people started trash-talking her....no, you literally can't 🥲 Qiqi is doing really well with even just a bit of investment (even in abyss), but because I really like Dehya I tried to do the same for her and it just...isn't a thing. She can barely kill overworld mobs at lvl 90 with a great weapon and good artifacts. I so genuinely don't understand what the devs were thinking with her x.x
Dehya feels like a character that was _intended_ to be good. I mean, they put in the effort to give her a unique Normal Attack chain which looks awesome, her character design is top-notch, and her personality is very likeable and she's quite popular among the Western fandom (not so much in China from what I hear though... which may explain some things). However, her kit feels... experimental. It feels like HoYo was using her to test out an experimental new type of damage mitigation and the possibility of adding "Tank" characters into the game. The problem with that character archetype is that Genshin, especially when playing solo, is just not that kind of game, not to mention both healers and shielders do what Dehya does, but way better. Tanks don't make sense in this game, because you only have one character out at one time, so the idea of a character having to 'draw aggro' simply doesn't make any sense mechanically, yet that seems to be what they were going for. And it failed. Given how late we learned of it, and how surprised most of the community was when they heard it, I also don't think Dehya was originally planned to be a Standard Banner character either. Everyone expected Tighnari to be a Standard Banner character, so it was no surprise at all to anyone when it happened... but Dehya? That caught most of us completely by surprise... and I think it's because HoYo, realizing how badly they screwed up her kit, but also not wanting to put the effort in to fixing it and possibly reworking her completely (which has only happened, as far as I know, with Zhongli... and for obvious reasons), they instead opted to just cut their losses, yeet her into the Standard Banner, and plan on just washing their hands of her and chalking her up as a failed experiment.
I definitely agree with this… Dehya’s current kit is like more suitable if it was in a team-based multiplayer game such as League of Legends or Overwatch. In those games, damage redirection would be awesome when paired with glass cannon DPS characters.
dehya is actually quite popular in the CN fandom right now, the poll where she was ranked low was with a small sample size when sumeru had just come out, where people didn't really know much about dehya or probably hadn't even seen her yet. Of course not many would vote for her when she was going up against existing beloved characters that are already fleshed out. Even if she was unpopular, mhy wouldn't make her bad because of that.
Dehya would have some potential to be good if we had things like coop raids and dungeons in genshin. As for single player, they’ll have to add enemies that could pierce shields AND prevent you from healing for Dehya to shine. Considering the fact that her being frozen cancels her ult, I truly 100% believe they didn’t try on her

My best friend really tries to make Dehya as good as possible. Triple crown, lvl 90, best possible artifacts so on and so forth. A heart project. Then he grinded all day for days, no weeks, to get her weapon, just to get the staff insdead. He is so so sad and depressed. I feel so sorry for him- he just wanted the best for her :

I know this sounds stupid given this is just a game but he loves his two underdogs (Keqing and Dehya) so so much. Started playing on release, getting Keqing as his first 5-star and has been a Keqing main ever since. I dont know a single person that has a better build Keqing than he does and he is pretty much F2P. Now that his Keqing is pretty much perfect he wanted to give Dehys the same treatment... but well... now he has been offline for some time, because he is so sad- i really hope they add her weapon to the standart soon-

(*Spoilers for Dehya quest) During her quest they framed her to be incredibly strong, well known, and feared amongst the eremites yet they put no effort into making her kit reflect that in the slightest. It’s so annoying cause I want to play her but she is barely functional. Fingers crossed they buff her in the future.
Nah, that's wishful thinking, especially since she is destined to be dumped into standard banner and literally, she's functioning as she's intended. Exactly the reason I skipped since chances are, you could lose 50/50 and get Dehya.

their lore capabilities not translating in their gameplay has just been such a long running theme 😭😭 the character can have saved the world, slayed every creature and be the most well known & feared and they can be straight ass 💀
@@ahagotcha for traveler, they don't have their full power unlocked yet, it's been said many times in lore so we can expect them to get their original element back and have massive buffs, it's been foreshadowed multiple times, and also they're the traveler, if they make them stronger than most characters the meta would be a mess.
It actually saddens me because Dehya is easily my favorite character in Genshin in terms of personality and design. She's so good looking and badass, but I can't justify spending my primos knowing how bad her kit is. But if I ever lose the 50/50 to her I'll be low key happy, because I'll at least have her lmao. I'm willing to bet they'll release a character that effectively makes her better. She doesn't need to be meta. I just want her to be borderline good.

Ignoring literally everything wrong with her, the one thing that really did it for me was the cost of her burst. How are you gonna be given 4 seconds to do literally no dmg AND have such a high burst cost? LOOL
A fun team comp for her: Dehya, Nahida, Kuki, and Fischl. Basically, burn, spread, and overload, with lots of Fischl A4 procs. And while Fischl's C6 doesn't seem to work with Dehya's burst, it will work with her other attacks the rest of the time, and even during the burst, the A4 will proc off of Kuki's aura triggering Overload, as well as Quicken/Aggravate. It is one of those teams where she isn't doing much of the team's DPS, but that's any team she's on that's effective. And her role is to support that DPS... live and keep the pyro burning, while you enjoy her animations. And, of course, the team could be improved by replacing her with Kokomi, because Dehya. A Kaz haver who feels comfortable playing without a healer could swap out Kuki for Kaz, giving VV debuff. You'd want to debuff pyro, though, while also infusing him with electro. Not sure how viable that is, as I have no Kaz.
From playing it more, I have to say, this is now my favorite Dehya team. It is much cleaner, easier to play than a burgeon or overburgeon one. It can put out a lot of damage, very quickly, and overall I find it clearing things easier than the other teams I've tried. And while Dehya's share of the damage isn't the greatest, it is still important in setting it up, and her damage reduction helps the team function, what with Kuki trashing her health and Nahida and Fischl being on the squishy side. So basically letting her do what she was designed to do... mitigate damage and apply some pyro, while getting to use all her glorious animations.
My simple philosophy on pulling for characters is that if I like their personality, design, or literally anything abt them, I just automatically pull and deal with whatever consequences like team comp, weapons, mats, etc. afterwards

I read some CN tweets and posts like a month after she was released and while the FixDehya movement was still going strong. Most people just said "Why should she be buffed?" and "She's fine as she is" Fuckers really don't care about anything other than Liyue characters being good.

Same actually, went through the five stages of grief but after acceptance I don't mind anymore, I love her, she's fun to play (for me personally) and considering I have other strong units, idon't mind having someone to fool around with and play purely for fun (so dehya go brrrr)

We are trying to apply pressure to their customer service for a prolonged period of time until their upper management takes notice or steps in. This can hopefully lead to Dehya buffs! I know hoyo usually do that but her kit just doesn't seem salvageable. With Kuki for example, I'm sure people complained a lot but it was obvious from minute one that her skill had potential, and she was useful for off-meta teams even before dendro. To make Dehya good, it looks to me like new characters would have to synergize with her taking damage while off field or something super specific like that, which wouldn't be good design either. I guess we'll see.
Fontaine is the hydro nation, so we'll probably get a mechanic that will make her stronger, if not then Natlan is the land of pyro, so she'll probably be really strong there as they'll buff that element, if not then snezhnaya is the land of cyro so she'll probably be strong there thanks to melt.
Thing is, if they make a unit that has synergy with her kit (like increasing damage of active character who is taking damage or increasing hp scaling) it will inevitably make other characters more powerful) unless they make a unit that provides character specific boosts (like a character that provides additional boost to dehya only). Its a sad situation. :(
I feel the depression of Dehya because not only she misses her Father so so much ever since her Father had left her alone but she is like a 1 Star legendary and Dehya suffered a lot of pains😭😭
Hear me out... the current banner gives Dehya a chance at comps, albeit an unorthodox approach. Dehya's main problem in general is actually most people who play her. They want her to be Genshin-typical--unga bunga your reactions, skills and attacks, cycle in some bursts, make big numbers happen on UA-cam. Cool story. But she's a reverse kit-type person. Forget her burst. It's dumb. The skill is what you want, and the new banner's Portable Power Saw is the weapon she was waiting for, and her team comps are much richer for it. Dehya is constantly taking "bleed" damage from Redmayne, so she always needs healing. Anyone who heals on-field, like Kuki and Kokomi, can build up her Symbols easily, creating a massive, quick EM boost that has only a 5 sec cooldown after the ability ends. When she's low on HP, she'll continuously self-heal, building symbols. On-field healers that can build her Symbols--like Barbara, Qiqi, Jean, Kokomi's burst, e.g.--can release her Symbol EM boost without her ever taking the field, because of her Redmayne bleed. Since her abilities actually scale higher off Attack% than they do HP%, let the Saw be your only HP boost (or put her in a Hydro comp for more). Everything else goes into attack. Her fire application on-field, with proper cycling, keeps EM members crushing Pyro reactions without her ever needing to swing a blade. I run Dehya this way with Fischl, Kokomi and Kirara. Cycling is Dheya skill-Fischl skill-Kokomi skill-Kirara skill running around making blooms off of Kokomi's skill-Dehya's re-up on skill, healing from Kokomi to keep EM stacks churning. There's tons of other options. Don't quit on Dehya just yet.
I was really skeptical of the doomposting on reddit before her release, since I experienced the Raiden and Kokomi fiascos BUT I have to say that they were right this time... Dehya was really the only sumeru character I was REALLY excited for, she is everything I love (I'm a beidou and Itto main lol). I genuinely think they should buff her, she really needs it, it's also not a very good look when the second 5 star who isn't blindingly pale, is one of the worst current units in the game... She just deserves better

The issue I think is most of her power is locked in her constellations, which I guess they did because she's going on the standard banner, but that's an issue for f2p and low spender players as they might not ever lose the 50/50 to her. I've been playing for over 2 years and I still don't have a single Mona!
Problem is, even with cons, she's not that good. I have her at C2 with her weapon. Kokomi at C1 with her weapon deals as much or more damage, fits into more teams, actually improves many of those teams over alternatives, defends the team better, gains energy during her burst, can jump all she wants during her burst, and can maintain that peak DPS she has for 2.5x as long. So imagine that for a F2P player. It'd take quite a while to hit C2. Her weapon? Probably not wishing for that. And even with that, you still don't really get a useful character out of it.
All aboard the mona-less train, got a jean at c1 during ayaka's banner. So happy(not)!!! Just wanna say the even bigger issue is that dehya cant properly stand by herself at c0, and she is even worse without her signature.
I’m a simple gamer. If I like the characters design, voice, or story/lore I roll for them. Knew from day 1 that I wanted her because her JP VA also voices Rin Shibuya from the Idolm@ster Cinderella Girls series (any Deresute players here? 👀), and her English VA is pleasant to listen to as well (haven’t had the time to check out the rest yet). Her design is amazing and I adore her idle animations. Her kit definitely needs work on MHY’s end but let’s be real… that probably won’t be happening any time soon. None of that will take away from my enjoyment of her in general tho. Just gotta make time to experiment with some builds and comps to see what works best for me personally.
Try her with Mona, apparently her burst has perfect synergy with Mona's burst and skill. (I don't have any of them btw it's just something I saw online.)
when I lost my 50/50 on koko and got dehya, I was initially in the depression phase, but since then I've moved onto acceptance because she's kinda fun and she makes your whole team a lil tankier
shes very good at chopping wood! honestly the speed buff passive is my fav part of her kit lol, makes farming mats a little easier (yes this is copium)
feels like dehya was a tank experiment. her kit heavily focus on keeping her allies alive... in coop that is. form what I understand her E works like Albedo Flower but can be repositioned. repositioning her sigil deals slightly more damage compare to the initial cast. every player inside her sigil will become resistant to knock backs (her passive also strengthen this effect) every damage a player inside the dehya`s circle will be reduced by 40% something and that 40% damage reduction is transferred to dehya`s passive instead. the same passive also has a threshold which if reached will convert the tansferred damage to dehya herself. this is ok however since she has a passive that regenerates hp if her hp drops down to 40% again very weird skill set for a limited coop game. tanks and healers are very useless in this game
the changes I think necessary for her is to change her burst totally. LET IT BE THE SAME as CYNO or RAZOR where in she will enter the Knuckle mode with Pyro. as for the elemental skill, make it same as Ryden or albedo with a lower multiplier. i dont really care much on the multiplier, what I want is consistency. just let be this and it satisfies every one since she will come to standard banner.
Apparently Mona can vape all her vaporise-able burst hits so she at least has that going for her. Also you can initiate the last kick of her burst by dash jumping thus ending her burst early so that "jump cancelling her burst is not a bug it was implemented for player ease" explanation is absolute bullshit they just don't give a damn. I literally pulled Dehya for the fact that she does low dmg. That way I can actually enjoy the fights and soundtrack more since all my other units kill too fast lol.

I actually compiled pretty fun party with Dehya, at least for me. I use her with Fishl, Nahida, Kazuha, and Dehya with sacrificial as support/aplicator. Her own damage IS bad, but she still fun to use if you creative enough. XD
okay, here's the thing. the reason why dehya burst is not working with xq or yelan is because, her burst, the whole atk string from punching till her last kick is counted as one hit burst animation. its just one burst with realy long animation. and that's why jumping is cancel her burst too. so unlike raiden for example, raiden burst animation/hit, start from the slash and that's it. the rest is counted as normal atk string (that's why it's still work with xq or yelan) untill the burst duration end. sorry for my english
If you want to make Dehya's Elemental Burst do 450k damage per fist, you can bennett and kazuha but add Mona with 4 piece Noblesse. Then Bennett burst, followed by Kazuha's then Mona's and finally Dehya's and presto 450k per fist (and you have her signature weapon so you'll probably hit more) [Side note - My Dehya is c4, Mona c2, kazuha c0 but i have his signature weapon, bennett c4. And Dehya has 2 piece gladiator and 2 piece crimson witch] hope this helps you or anyone who wants to do a lot more damage with Dehya
i personally am an explorer type of player, not a recourse miner, so it makes me very sad how people start to hate dehya as a plot character just because of her stats(

You know who that would buff? The other, already existing damage reduction character. Xingqiu, who is already broken as shit. This wouldn't make anyone use Dehya. It'd just make people use XQ even more lol.
@@skeletonwar4445 obviously it would buff the other characters as well but it would also give players more option to use other characters such as dehya. though, when I write this comment I was highly doubtful considering there is just not enough voices from the community to change her to be a bit better. So now I'm just gonna give up the thought of her getting buff and just play her as hoyo intended her to be. She still really fun to play even as a tank.
I cleared my f11 with Dehya (talents lvl 2/5/3 with fish sword), Diluc, Albedo and Zhongli (all of them c0, exept Albedo c2). In chamber 3 I didn't have Diluc (he died, because I was careless) and killed that regisvine just fine with only 3 units. Her E even took about 1/3 of it's hp in one point, wich helped me clear chamber in time. I don't know how much it was, because I don't look at numbers and chambler buff helped, but still it was impressive for a unit that isn't a main dps with low level talants. At least, in my opinion. I think when I get her talents to lvl 9 she becomes much better. I'm sorry if someone feels disapointed in Dehya and regret pulling her (if there are any, considering how much backlash she's got), but I know I'm definitely not one of those people.
Tbh I think whenever a character is bad or a bit underwhelming, it usually means that it will be good in a soon future update. I was thinking that in genshin version 4 (fontaine), they will release a character that works well with Dehya which will then bring back her popularity, however this could just be copium and therefore I've spent money on her for no reason, I hope not lmao-
She might get one or two niche use cases with future characters but there is nothing she provides that isn't available in other character that just do it better. Short of direct buffs she will never be 'good' but she might eventually be 'alright'. If nothing else, if you lose enough 50/50s to her she eventually has similar damage to a c0 Hu Tao (at c6, with her signature weapon).
I don’t know enough about the game to know if Dehya ever did get that 1 character that makes her makes sense, but I know how bad it feels to spend so many hours investing in a character only for them to be super weak compared to almost every other character
I know that she's not a strong character and definitely far below our expectations, but I feel like people hate her a bit TOO much. Like, calling her a 3-star and actually bully PEOPLE who want her and don't care about meta is just awful. Remember how similar thing happened to Zhongli and Kokomi when they first came out? That part of the community really hurts the reputation of the whole community. I think Dehya is a solid tank, and with a proper build can be unkillable. Just wish for characters you like and don't let others decide for you 😉

@@protagkun8859 Then you haven't seen the #FixDehya trending with 20K and you haven't been to her sub-reddit or have read comments during her Beta testing when it was first leaked. People have been saving for months for her. Skipped banners and even spend money. And when the first concerns reared up their ugly head, they were told "You're just doomposting", "You said the same about Kokomi". "She's not even live" and "She will be fine." Yes, there's bound to be some trolls or people jumping on the bandwagon or some haters, but you are supposed to identify those easily for what they are.
I tested out kuki Shinobu with Raiden shogun and hu tao or any other fire character with Dehya. I was able to use this team without any level 90 character while dehya was level 50 and the rest I had was level 80 or 70 and with that being said I was able to kill off the new Setekh Wenut boss. With them being low level it did take time, but with a full set of the crimson witches of the flame on Dehya I ended up being able boost her damage the most with overload damage while still healing and giving Dehya the ability to explode the most by having Raiden Shogun's electric on the longest and have kuki Shinobu's ring on to make Dehya a good source of dps and this brings me to start testing out Dori with Kuki to see if those electro overload builds will work well while getting good healing. Dehya is a test by hoyoverse to see if we can figure out what characters can leave behind good elemental attachments to dehya so she can be on the field and burst dps as must as possible. When I have the builds fully complete and all tests done I'll actually try to record some of this myself or put it up for video while on my Ps5.
I don't know what I did, but my Dehya is lvl 70 with lvl 70 Wolf's gravestone, talents lvl 5, and and her Artifacts are decent, and she gives great damage, and no I don't use the Witch's Artifacts, I basically just put random ones with good CD and it worked, plus she heals herself, so that's useful I guess, and makes you run faster during a certain time of day
I think that Dehya is like a mixture between Chongyun and Raiden, but instead she’s pyro. I think she was intended to be good but that Mihoyo fumbled it.

I mean, they put in the effort to give her a unique Normal Attack chain which looks awesome, her character design is top-notch, and her personality is very likeable and she's quite popular among the Western fandom (not so much in China from what I hear though... which may explain some things).
However, her kit feels... experimental. It feels like HoYo was using her to test out an experimental new type of damage mitigation and the possibility of adding "Tank" characters into the game. The problem with that character archetype is that Genshin, especially when playing solo, is just not that kind of game, not to mention both healers and shielders do what Dehya does, but way better. Tanks don't make sense in this game, because you only have one character out at one time, so the idea of a character having to 'draw aggro' simply doesn't make any sense mechanically, yet that seems to be what they were going for. And it failed.
Given how late we learned of it, and how surprised most of the community was when they heard it, I also don't think Dehya was originally planned to be a Standard Banner character either. Everyone expected Tighnari to be a Standard Banner character, so it was no surprise at all to anyone when it happened... but Dehya? That caught most of us completely by surprise... and I think it's because HoYo, realizing how badly they screwed up her kit, but also not wanting to put the effort in to fixing it and possibly reworking her completely (which has only happened, as far as I know, with Zhongli... and for obvious reasons), they instead opted to just cut their losses, yeet her into the Standard Banner, and plan on just washing their hands of her and chalking her up as a failed experiment.

I definitely agree with this… Dehya’s current kit is like more suitable if it was in a team-based multiplayer game such as League of Legends or Overwatch. In those games, damage redirection would be awesome when paired with glass cannon DPS characters.
dehya is actually quite popular in the CN fandom right now, the poll where she was ranked low was with a small sample size when sumeru had just come out, where people didn't really know much about dehya or probably hadn't even seen her yet. Of course not many would vote for her when she was going up against existing beloved characters that are already fleshed out. Even if she was unpopular, mhy wouldn't make her bad because of that.
Dehya would have some potential to be good if we had things like coop raids and dungeons in genshin. As for single player, they’ll have to add enemies that could pierce shields AND prevent you from healing for Dehya to shine.

My best friend really tries to make Dehya as good as possible. Triple crown, lvl 90, best possible artifacts so on and so forth. A heart project. Then he grinded all day for days, no weeks, to get her weapon, just to get the staff insdead. He is so so sad and depressed. I feel so sorry for him- he just wanted the best for her :

Started playing on release, getting Keqing as his first 5-star and has been a Keqing main ever since. I dont know a single person that has a better build Keqing than he does and he is pretty much F2P. Now that his Keqing is pretty much perfect he wanted to give Dehys the same treatment... but well... now he has been offline for some time, because he is so sad- i really hope they add her weapon to the standart soon-

It actually saddens me because Dehya is easily my favorite character in Genshin in terms of personality and design. She's so good looking and badass, but I can't justify spending my primos knowing how bad her kit is. But if I ever lose the 50/50 to her I'll be low key happy, because I'll at least have her lmao. Ignoring literally everything wrong with her, the one thing that really did it for me was the cost of her burst. How are you gonna be given 4 seconds to do literally no dmg AND have such a high burst cost? LOOL
No damage, high cost, very minimal particle generation. They literally should have made her release date April 1st 😭
A fun team comp for her: Dehya, Nahida, Kuki, and Fischl. Basically, burn, spread, and overload, with lots of Fischl A4 procs. And while Fischl's C6 doesn't seem to work with Dehya's burst, it will work with her other attacks the rest of the time, and even during the burst, the A4 will proc off of Kuki's aura triggering Overload, as well as Quicken/Aggravate. It is one of those teams where she isn't doing much of the team's DPS, but that's any team she's on that's effective. And her role is to support that DPS... live and keep the pyro burning, while you enjoy her animations. And, of course, the team could be improved by replacing her with Kokomi, because Dehya.
A Kaz haver who feels comfortable playing without a healer could swap out Kuki for Kaz, giving VV debuff. You'd want to debuff pyro, though, while also infusing him with electro. Not sure how viable that is, as I have no Kaz.
From playing it more, I have to say, this is now my favorite Dehya team. It is much cleaner, easier to play than a burgeon or overburgeon one. It can put out a lot of damage, very quickly, and overall I find it clearing things easier than the other teams I've tried. And while Dehya's share of the damage isn't the greatest, it is still important in setting it up, and her damage reduction helps the team function, what with Kuki trashing her health and Nahida and Fischl being on the squishy side. So basically letting her do what she was designed to do... mitigate damage and apply some pyro, while getting to use all her glorious animations.
My simple philosophy on pulling for characters is that if I like their personality, design, or literally anything abt them, I just automatically pull and deal with whatever consequences like team comp, weapons, mats, etc. afterwards

Same actually, went through the five stages of grief but after acceptance I don't mind anymore, I love her, she's fun to play (for me personally) and considering I have other strong units, idon't mind having someone to fool around with and play purely for fun (so dehya go brrrr)
Don't forget to send Mihoyo feedback on Dehya once every few days! We are trying to apply pressure to their customer service for a prolonged period of time until their upper management takes notice or steps in. This can hopefully lead to Dehya buffs!

Fontaine characters be like: if your character cancels their burst by jumping, do 1,000,000% of her hp as damage to nearby enemies
I know hoyo usually do that but her kit just doesn't seem salvageable. With Kuki for example, I'm sure people complained a lot but it was obvious from minute one that her skill had potential, and she was useful for off-meta teams even before dendro. To make Dehya good, it looks to me like new characters would have to synergize with her taking damage while off field or something super specific like that, which wouldn't be good design either. I guess we'll see.
Fontaine is the hydro nation, so we'll probably get a mechanic that will make her stronger, if not then Natlan is the land of pyro, so she'll probably be really strong there as they'll buff that element, if not then snezhnaya is the land of cyro so she'll probably be strong there thanks to melt.
Thing is, if they make a unit that has synergy with her kit (like increasing damage of active character who is taking damage or increasing hp scaling) it will inevitably make other characters more powerful) unless they make a unit that provides character specific boosts (like a character that provides additional boost to dehya only). Its a sad situation. :(

Hear me out... the current banner gives Dehya a chance at comps, albeit an unorthodox approach. Dehya's main problem in general is actually most people who play her. They want her to be Genshin-typical--unga bunga your reactions, skills and attacks, cycle in some bursts, make big numbers happen on UA-cam. Cool story. But she's a reverse kit-type person. Forget her burst. It's dumb. The skill is what you want, and the new banner's Portable Power Saw is the weapon she was waiting for, and her team comps are much richer for it.
Dehya is constantly taking "bleed" damage from Redmayne, so she always needs healing. Anyone who heals on-field, like Kuki and Kokomi, can build up her Symbols easily, creating a massive, quick EM boost that has only a 5 sec cooldown after the ability ends. When she's low on HP, she'll continuously self-heal, building symbols. On-field healers that can build her Symbols--like Barbara, Qiqi, Jean, Kokomi's burst, e.g.--can release her Symbol EM boost without her ever taking the field, because of her Redmayne bleed. Since her abilities actually scale higher off Attack% than they do HP%, let the Saw be your only HP boost (or put her in a Hydro comp for more). Everything else goes into attack. Her fire application on-field, with proper cycling, keeps EM members crushing Pyro reactions without her ever needing to swing a blade.
I run Dehya this way with Fischl, Kokomi and Kirara. Cycling is Dheya skill-Fischl skill-Kokomi skill-Kirara skill running around making blooms off of Kokomi's skill-Dehya's re-up on skill, healing from Kokomi to keep EM stacks churning. There's tons of other options.
Don't quit on Dehya just yet.

I was really skeptical of the doomposting on reddit before her release, since I experienced the Raiden and Kokomi fiascos BUT I have to say that they were right this time... Dehya was really the only sumeru character I was REALLY excited for, she is everything I love (I'm a beidou and Itto main lol). I genuinely think they should buff her, she really needs it, it's also not a very good look when the second 5 star who isn't blindingly pale, is one of the worst current units in the game... She just deserves better

The issue I think is most of her power is locked in her constellations, which I guess they did because she's going on the standard banner, but that's an issue for f2p and low spender players as they might not ever lose the 50/50 to her. I've been playing for over 2 years and I still don't have a single Mona!

Problem is, even with cons, she's not that good. I have her at C2 with her weapon. Kokomi at C1 with her weapon deals as much or more damage, fits into more teams, actually improves many of those teams over alternatives, defends the team better, gains energy during her burst, can jump all she wants during her burst, and can maintain that peak DPS she has for 2.5x as long.
So imagine that for a F2P player. It'd take quite a while to hit C2. Her weapon? Probably not wishing for that. And even with that, you still don't really get a useful character out of it.

I’m a simple gamer. If I like the characters design, voice, or story/lore I roll for them. Knew from day 1 that I wanted her because her JP VA also voices Rin Shibuya from the Idolm@ster Cinderella Girls series (any Deresute players here? 👀), and her English VA is pleasant to listen to as well (haven’t had the time to check out the rest yet). Her design is amazing and I adore her idle animations. Her kit definitely needs work on MHY’s end but let’s be real… that probably won’t be happening any time soon. None of that will take away from my enjoyment of her in general tho. Just gotta make time to experiment with some builds and comps to see what works best for me personally.
Try her with Mona, apparently her burst has perfect synergy with Mona's burst and skill. (I don't have any of them btw it's just something I saw online.)

form what I understand her E works like
Albedo Flower but can be repositioned.
repositioning her sigil deals slightly more damage compare to the initial cast.
every player inside her sigil will become resistant to knock backs (her passive also strengthen this effect)
every damage a player inside the dehya`s circle will be reduced by 40% something and that 40% damage reduction is transferred to dehya`s passive instead.
the same passive also has a threshold which if reached will convert the tansferred damage to dehya herself.
this is ok however since she has a passive that regenerates hp if her hp drops down to 40%
again very weird skill set for a limited coop game. tanks and healers are very useless in this game

the changes I think necessary for her is to change her burst totally. LET IT BE THE SAME as CYNO or RAZOR where in she will enter the Knuckle mode with Pyro. as for the elemental skill, make it same as Ryden or albedo with a lower multiplier.

Apparently Mona can vape all her vaporise-able burst hits so she at least has that going for her. Also you can initiate the last kick of her burst by dash jumping thus ending her burst early so that "jump cancelling her burst is not a bug it was implemented for player ease" explanation is absolute bullshit they just don't give a damn. I actually compiled pretty fun party with Dehya, at least for me. I use her with Fishl, Nahida, Kazuha, and Dehya with sacrificial as support/aplicator. Her own damage IS bad, but she still fun to use if you creative enough. XD
okay, here's the thing.
the reason why dehya burst is not working with xq or yelan is because, her burst, the whole atk string from punching till her last kick is counted as one hit burst animation. its just one burst with realy long animation. and that's why jumping is cancel her burst too. so unlike raiden for example, raiden burst animation/hit, start from the slash and that's it. the rest is counted as normal atk string (that's why it's still work with xq or yelan) untill the burst duration end.

If you want to make Dehya's Elemental Burst do 450k damage per fist, you can bennett and kazuha but add Mona with 4 piece Noblesse. Then Bennett burst, followed by Kazuha's then Mona's and finally Dehya's and presto 450k per fist (and you have her signature weapon so you'll probably hit more)
[Side note - My Dehya is c4, Mona c2, kazuha c0 but i have his signature weapon, bennett c4. And Dehya has 2 piece gladiator and 2 piece crimson witch] hope this helps you or anyone who wants to do a lot more damage with Dehya

So now I'm just gonna give up the thought of her getting buff and just play her as hoyo intended her to be. She still really fun to play even as a tank.
I cleared my f11 with Dehya (talents lvl 2/5/3 with fish sword), Diluc, Albedo and Zhongli (all of them c0, exept Albedo c2). In chamber 3 I didn't have Diluc (he died, because I was careless) and killed that regisvine just fine with only 3 units. Her E even took about 1/3 of it's hp in one point, wich helped me clear chamber in time. I don't know how much it was, because I don't look at numbers and chambler buff helped, but still it was impressive for a unit that isn't a main dps with low level talants. At least, in my opinion. I think when I get her talents to lvl 9 she becomes much better. I'm sorry if someone feels disapointed in Dehya and regret pulling her (if there are any, considering how much backlash she's got), but I know I'm definitely not one of those people.

Tbh I think whenever a character is bad or a bit underwhelming, it usually means that it will be good in a soon future update. I was thinking that in genshin version 4 (fontaine), they will release a character that works well with Dehya which will then bring back her popularity, however this could just be copium and therefore I've spent money on her for no reason, I hope not lmao-
She might get one or two niche use cases with future characters but there is nothing she provides that isn't available in other character that just do it better. Short of direct buffs she will never be 'good' but she might eventually be 'alright'. If nothing else, if you lose enough 50/50s to her she eventually has similar damage to a c0 Hu Tao (at c6, with her signature weapon).

I don’t know enough about the game to know if Dehya ever did get that 1 character that makes her makes sense, but I know how bad it feels to spend so many hours investing in a character only for them to be super weak compared to almost every other character

I know that she's not a strong character and definitely far below our expectations, but I feel like people hate her a bit TOO much. Like, calling her a 3-star and actually bully PEOPLE who want her and don't care about meta is just awful. Remember how similar thing happened to Zhongli and Kokomi when they first came out? That part of the community really hurts the reputation of the whole community. I think Dehya is a solid tank, and with a proper build can be unkillable. Just wish for characters you like and don't let others decide for you 😉
People don't hate her. They actually like her that much that they are willing to riot until her kit gets fixed.

What I see is constant slanders, mockery and people jumping in the hate wagon for laughs and memes. I legit even see the same people commenting the same immature things on every video I watch that even remotely mentions Dehya. That is no way to offer criticism for a character "you like".

People have been saving for months for her. Skipped banners and even spend money. And when the first concerns reared up their ugly head, they were told "You're just doomposting", "You said the same about Kokomi". "She's not even live" and "She will be fine."
Yes, there's bound to be some trolls or people jumping on the bandwagon or some haters, but you are supposed to identify those easily for what they are.

I tested out kuki Shinobu with Raiden shogun and hu tao or any other fire character with Dehya.
I was able to use this team without any level 90 character while dehya was level 50 and the rest I had was level 80 or 70 and with that being said I was able to kill off the new Setekh Wenut boss. With them being low level it did take time, but with a full set of the crimson witches of the flame on Dehya I ended up being able boost her damage the most with overload damage while still healing and giving Dehya the ability to explode the most by having Raiden Shogun's electric on the longest and have kuki Shinobu's ring on to make Dehya a good source of dps and this brings me to start testing out Dori with Kuki to see if those electro overload builds will work well while getting good healing.
Dehya is a test by hoyoverse to see if we can figure out what characters can leave behind good elemental attachments to dehya so she can be on the field and burst dps as must as possible.
When I have the builds fully complete and all tests done I'll actually try to record some of this myself or put it up for video while on my Ps5.

I don't know what I did, but my Dehya is lvl 70 with lvl 70 Wolf's gravestone, talents lvl 5, and and her Artifacts are decent, and she gives great damage, and no I don't use the Witch's Artifacts, I basically just put random ones with good CD and it worked, plus she heals herself, so that's useful I guess, and makes you run faster during a certain time of day
I think that Dehya is like a mixture between Chongyun and Raiden, but instead she’s pyro. I think she was intended to be good but that Mihoyo fumbled it.

I know this is olddd, but I remember someone explaining a bit on how her dmg works. You're supposed to add up each hit, not count them as individual hits. It's like one big ult but it's broken down into smaller ones
