@@philiptaylor2567 they are a good shock for the cost. They feel a little better at higher speed with washboard than slower. That’s just how they at valved. I’m waiting for new coilovers though as I’ve had these for almost 5 years
Is the top rack the “Universal Top Rack 4.5′ X 47″ on Prinsu website? I have a LEERXQ camper shell I want to install the same thing. Great looking taco 🌮
Quick question, how does the canopy do with the weight of the tent + rack? I have a canopy & would like to put the prinsu on it with the tent (same exact RTT as you) did you end up adding inside supports? Or just run it as is? Thanks.
Hey man sick truck! I got a Extended Cab same year. Question how did you get those bumpers on? The website says they only go down to 2nd Gen. Do they fit on a first gen?
Hey, I just got a hold of my 04 Taco after joining the military. Currently I’m stationed up north and was looking for a build like this “pretty sweet btw”. Do you know if I called CBI if they would make the front and rear bumper again or and I looking at trying to make one custom?
Didn’t need to. The prinsu rack is very sturdy. I have 2 additional cross bars that the tent mounts on and then they bolt in to prinsu rack like they normally would. It distributes the weight nicely
I thought the few white 4x4s had a grey interior. I looked for a white one with grey interior for months at every dealership and ended up getting a red one with shit brown interior with the intention to sell it when I found the white one. I will never sell my red truck even though I dont like the color. My truck has been a beast and it got even more improved throught the years. I usually get the buy offer from people but nah. I'll never find another dependable truck like mine again. Keep the videos coming and the TLC on your truck going.
I’m not sure how many were grey or tan. I looked for almost a year before I found this one, I actually really like the tan now! I will be posting more so stay tuned!
Awesome!!! And dont ever get rid of it. I used and abused mine for the past 400,000 miles until I added a transmission cooler and an all aluminum Koyo radiator. Now the engine and transmission are loving the upgrade I should have done since the beginning. I towed a 22.5' Centurion Avalanche with it among other things. These trucks were but for combat! Lol.
Look at the shocks in the rear. Those fox 2.5s only have like 3 inches of travel as the truck sits. That can't be right. You'll be smashing the shocks with 3 inches of uptravel, long before you're hitting the bump stops. You should have around 6 inches of uptravel with the lift. Those shocks must not be designed for that model
@@philiptaylor2567 they came as a packaged deal with the leaf springs from Allpro. Never had a single issue with them and they definitely allowed me to hit bump stops without restriction. I have since upgraded those with the archive garage shock relocation with 12 in smooth body shocks and it is much nicer
@@trdtimmy no kidding! love the video. just got an 02 4d rwd and hope to do something similar (just a camper tho not a rock crawler or anything crazy) got a lot of work to do to clean it up beforehand tho

You welcome brother. Hope to see more great content from you. Thanks again bro
1st gen, 4 doors, nothing else like them. great review on your build.
Thank you!
Nevermind , I just seen this video. Thanks man
Can you do a review on the prinsu roof rack on what and how you mounted cause I want to purchase one for my Tacoma too
Sure!
Prinsu roof rack pro tip: use NEW cobalt or titanium bits that are sharp and made for metal. The first two holes to drill are a pain
Not seeing that bumper on the CBI website any longer. Discontinued? Not nearly as many gen 1 bumper options out there compared to later models
Yeah, unfortunately its been discontinued for the moment
Great looking taco! Nice work!
Appreciate that!
I’ve seen you do a couple videos off valley view.
Nice Rig! Maybe I'll see you on the trails. I'm in Salt Lake too and just getting into overlanding.
Thank you! Someday let’s do something!
How do those 6112s ride? Are they jarring? How do they handle little choppy stuff like washboards?

Yes that would be the one that I have. If you are ordering one I do have a discount code you can use on the CBI website for it! "trdtimmy"
What is the make and model of the roof lights or can you share the Alibaba link? Thanks
Awesome rig man! Well done.
Roof rack light pods looks awesome! Can we get a video of the light performance?
Sure I can do get something going!
Im curious in how youve wired the teq customs up for amber working when you want it, I really want mine to do amber
I wired them to my switch panel
Beautiful truck man! I got a 99’ and this just inspired me. Keep up the good work.

Going to have to jump on building mine already. This just pushed me to order more parts lol

Killer rig man !

Love the build.
That’s a bad ass rig!!!!
Thank you!
Did u have to do pinch weld mod to fit rim/tire package?
Yeah I’ve done the pinched!
Great review of your rig. Can you please tell me which Plano boxes you have on the roof rack?
Thank you! They are from harbor freight. They are rifle cases that I am using as storage

they are plasti dipped OE emblems

Do you have something to reinforce the rack on the topper to hold the weight of the tent?

195k on the 3.4!
Bro could you pls share the modelo or Brand of UCAs i tried to find some one for my taco 04 thanks

Do you have a name brand for those side steps?

For now the stock 4.10s. Gonna be gearing to 4.88s soon

Are you running stock gears with this setup?
Yup still 4.10s for now. 4.88s are in the plans!

Ya Tacoma’s have been through the roof! They are a very popular truck, maybe someday they will come down
They’re expensive used because of their reliability.
