What an amazing opportunity to explore food in both Silay and Bacolod! What is some of your favourite foods in these two regions of Negros Occidental? Extra special thanks to @christinesaludares4724 for the Aida's recommendation. Best chicken ever
Surely a hit👌 several foreign vloggers have tried eating that inasal place, definitely delicious 😋 its up to you to choose what inasal food stall you want to try, eat chicken inasal. ❤
There's nothing more delecious foods than the Philipines can offer,, From halo-halo to fancy foods chicken or pork adobo. Very delecoius. US nothing other than sandwich.
The Philippine has amazing food despite what you often read about it. I will disagree on the US though. As an American I seldom have something good to say about my home country, but the food is definitely one of our highlights. I can only assume you haven't explored US food at all and are going by the typical stereotype that US food is donuts and McDonalds. If you have the opportunity I would highly suggest exploring the different regions in the south eastern US's BBQ scene. Each region does it a little different and all of them delicious and it is probably the best BBQ in the entire world. There is also cajun, seafood and soul food to name a few more than can stand their ground with any cuisine in the world.
Halo-halo doesn't necessarily mean you have to mix it. It can take the form of a noun - mix or adjective mixture. The dessert should be called HALUIN if you want the verb form, which means stir or mix it together in English. We Filipinos should take into account the presentation & visual appearance of our food if we want to compete with other cuisines. Mixing it not only makes it lose its pretty appearance but also makes it a hassle & messy for someone who just wants to enjoy a dessert. Whether we like it or not presentation matters!
@@TheBacolodFoodHunters I eat the Leche Flan first. Once you mix the halo halo, the leche flan gets utterly destroyed ... as if it were never there in the first place.
I read somewhere that halo-halo was originally called halo halong sangkap. I agree with others who don't mix the leche flan and I also try to eat the ice cream first before the flavours get mixed with the rest. These special toppings were not in the usual halo halo you'd find in the streets.
Didn't miss it, but had too much to eat that day so I kept it simple for the video. And check the channel out. I made 5 videos in Bacolod and the first one I made is all about soups and Cansi appears in that along with batchoy and soup#5
Jeff try to go to north and central luzon, try the sisig, papaitan, puto calasio, dagupan bangus (milk fish) binuburan ( local rice wine)pigar pigar, bagisen, goat meat different style cooked like kilaw, caldereta, adobo etc. Ilocos try bagnet, longganisa vigan.
In that particular restaurant, since the milk is already pre-mixed with the shaved ice, I think you can get a pass eating it without mixing. And it will taste fine. However, if it's the halo-halo that has evaporated milk poured onto the crushed ice, then you'll definitely need to mix it up. Otherwise, you'll be getting mouthfuls of tasteless ice. :)
When you find yourself in Baguio, try farmers Daughter. Try some etag, blood sausage and other pork cured in brine for several months. Not a lot of foreigner try it
That was my first trip to the Bacolod. If you want to see how much the entire month cost me I am writing for the website again and I am releasing Cost of Living articles right now before dropping back to food articles. That girl Lorraine she does not have a ring on her finger. How long will that still be the case after this video? Omg she is SO much my type, and i will be extremely surprised if she is not allmost every mans type.

I know this my friend. I'm just trying to do the best I can at this point. I have been shown in multiple countries and I still can't get the hang of it lol

lol, It wasn't as bad as it would seem
YAY!!!!!! Great video!! I love the "Jeff is sucking a bone" part! 🤣🤣
I'll bet you did😂
Try to ask for chicken oil, chicken oil, calamansi, soy sauce, a bit of vinegar at sliced chili🌶️🐔🍗 yum!!! For a very good dipping sauce
There was chicken oil, soy sauce, vinegar, calamansi and chili all featured in this very video with the inasal

I agree! I don't mix mine! I like to eat the ice cream first!
well it's true, that halo halo means mix as a verb but its also a noun means a mixture of different things that is ment to be mixed before eating it.

How did you miss aida’s grilled chicken butt? Also cansi in that region is a must.

This seems to make a lot of sense to me. Calle Luna has had by far the best halo halo I have to date
Actually some of the secret location of spices like nutmeg is. In Malaysia, so the explorers was actually close
Very True

if you want spicy food, then you should visit bicol region
Thanks Eggy, I keep hearing this over and over
try balbacua in cebu
How about if I try it in Davao?
@@PureDetour idk ,but cebu made the balbacua, its the original, also try the porcupine fish in cebu
@@user-bj7nf9dc2e I spent a month in Cebu. Porcupine fish appears in this video. ua-cam.com/video/MX_WI-TSna0/v-deo.html
Aside from the Bicol region, the other region who love spices here is the Maranao region in Mindanao. Their dishes paired with palapa are really good.
Oh now you are going to make me find it. I am in Mindanao now
If they have, try also to have a grilled chicken butt or barbecue chicken ass😅 delicious also.
Where is your wife? Not seeing her in your vids
I have addressed this issue more than enough times. There is a dedicated short video explaining where she is.
How much did you spent on this trip Bro? 😀

afaik Vietnamese food isn't generally spicy/hot either
You are correct, it is not. What Vietnam does do though is condiments of many varieties to spice it up as hot as you like.

Don't put salt and soy sauce at the same time.
Why not? That combo still won't be nearly as salty as some lechons I have had
Salt and soy sauce for dipping sauce is common in Bacolod. It is very nice with green Indian mango, almost ripe papaya, and singkamas.
chili is spicy sweet, filipino sili is really hot 😂 😂😂
I refer to any spicy pepper as a chili. lol
You should learn how to eat properly with your right hand Sir.
