Another solid video, you really went thru a lot with those old springs. There is no way those 4400 axels should have been on there. Thanks for sharing- Kyle

Excellent video! It seems like most campers are over on axels to me.... We had to upgrade our leafs as they were flattened and tire started rubbing.

A lot of upgrades and those axles are massively different in size. Can’t Brielle they didn’t setup the axles for the max weight for the trailer. Great update.

Just replaced the flattened out springs on our 2016 5th wheel. I added Comfort Ride shocks and the Lippert axle alignment kit. The mistake I made was aligning the axles before replacing the springs only to discover that because the left rear spring had flattened the most it actually changed the axle alignment. Well after the spring replacement I had to realign the axles. I also went from 235/80R16 10 ply to 235/85R16 12 ply Hercules tires. So 2" blocks, the alignment kit, and larger diameter tires finally leveled out the trailer when hooked up to the Ram HD dually. The 5th wheel height also increased to 12' 8".

Look pretty beefy suspension!😍 Why doesn't the RV manufacture offer the upgrade to it out of the gecko start?

The electrical wiring by rhe manufacturer is inexcusable in my opinion. Glad you were able to move it out of the way.

I couldnt imagine towing my 29rks with a half ton! It looks like you now can see the top of your tires through the fender flare. Can’t fit my hand between top of tire and the under belly but no rubbing as of yet . 4 inches higher . Wow ! can you feel anything difference towing her? I also have the hide a spare and couldn’t imagine anything else.

I hadn’t noticed any difference now. Before the last set of upgrades it seemed it May catch wind a little more, but I’ve not been in high winds since the last go around. We are headed to SD in a couple weeks though so I’m sure we’ll see

The 29RKS is one of the "half-ton" models that is too close to capacity... yes under built. But this does not apply to all of the "half-ton" trailers... models like the 24RDS have a lot more wiggle-room. BTW.. the tires are a total combined, only 20 pounds heavier than the trailer kings that came from the factory.

You are right I was curious and it’s only actually 26 lbs. my new tires are 136 lbs more than the trailer kings… without the spare

How bad did Camping World rip you off? They are thieves.

Same problem on our new fr Cherokee rubbing bottom after second trip out west from north ala. TT at 7800 lbs. Found a shop in Sheffield, al, with a side business of upgrading travel trailer suspensions. Replaced our dual 3500# lipperts with 5200# Dexter's, replaced axles, springs, brakes, bigger wheels and tires. They even took my old components in on trade.
We gained about 2" of height.
About 2 yrs later I found hangers bent and that might have been from the taller suspension increasing the "lever length". I had the hangers straightened and that shop welded bars to the hangers across the trailer to stiffen.
