    Great video! Good job showing the whole process and providing tips along the way. That setup looks like a big improvement over the normal springs and equalizers most RVs come with from the factory. I bet it would make a huge difference on bumper pull trailers too.

    From your video, it looks as if the plate that goes on top of the shock absorber plate was not installed. You might want to watch the trailer install video and reference what I’m talking about. Love your three-part series. Can’t wait to install the slipper springs on mine this November.

    Great work! New subscriber here from 🇨🇦. Clarification question about that spacer. If it was too long could you have shortened it by grinding or cutting it? Or maybe it was too thick and could not fit in because of the triangle bracket?

    • @ThoseWhoGlampTogether
      @ThoseWhoGlampTogether  3 місяці тому

      @@danphilippe9286 hello! Thank you for the sub! To answer your question, yes, you could grind it down to fit. RoadMaster said it was not necessary since we had the triangled bracket welding inside the hanger. Hope this helps! Thanks again for the sub! Where are you at in Canada?

    Great video, Mike and Joni!! New subscriber. I needed to upgrade to 8K axles also, since I have so many pounds of "necessary things" to haul around. Otherwise, this would have been a great upgrade for our rig. But all things considered, I opted to let be lazy and let MorRyde do the 8K axles and the independent suspension at their factory. See you out there glamping!

    I can't believe they said just disregard the spacer..wow..plus they didn't even give ya a set of wet bolts? For the cost you'd think it would be included.

    • @ThoseWhoGlampTogether
      @ThoseWhoGlampTogether  2 місяці тому +1

      @@Kevin-midmichigan thanks for the reply! The reason for not using the spacer was basically our RV manufacturer added welded “V” braces to our suspension hangers and as far as the wet bolts, the springs have inserts that don’t require grease.

    Currently doing this install but my new springs will not line up with the top of my axle holes. Any tips?

    • @ThoseWhoGlampTogether
      @ThoseWhoGlampTogether  10 місяців тому +1

      Are your springs attached to your axles? I attached the springs to the hangers then moved the axle to the pin on the spring. I hope this helps.

    • @ExploringOurCompass
      @ExploringOurCompass 10 місяців тому

      @@ThoseWhoGlampTogether they’re not attached yet, they are just attached on the hangars right now. It looks like my axle needs to rotate some, in order to line up the holes.

    • @ThoseWhoGlampTogether
      @ThoseWhoGlampTogether  10 місяців тому +1

      @ExploringOurCompass I had to raise and lower my axles to get them lined up with the pin on the springs. Also make sure you don’t over tighten your spring and cause it to stick in the hanger not allowing it to move. If it’s easier you can email us and maybe we can exchange numbers and call so I understand what is happening.

    Great video on your install. Just ordered the shock and comfort ride kit for my redwood. Going with the 8k kit for 7k axles. Would you happen to have a link on the new U Bolts you used? Also did you use the original spring plates in addition to the shock kit plates? Thank you.

      Thank you for the comment. The U Bolts are in our Amazon store in the RV toolbox. You can find the link in the description. Since you got the system with shocks you will not re-use your spring plate. Hope your install goes well.
