So sweet. I’d like to add that I love the new format of Picture in Picture. I benefit greatly from watching someone speak. This is wonderful.
I get so impatient during rhese tutorials. Just get to it😂. I fotget that there are always people watching who are new to quilting. I need to remember that Jenny taught me how to quilt
Jenny taught me how to quilt too. 😊
I can’t wait to do this in blue batiks like snow flakes!
I love this way of filming, showing her face as well as her hands. Very helpful.
Fancy new video! Picture in a picture.
Love the split screen video … seeing Jenny or Misty or Natalie talking makes the video so much more personal!
Thanks for the great camera work. I appreciate being able to see you while you sew or cut. Great pattern.
Ooh! I appreciate the reminder about this template and pattern. I bought it a couple of years ago when Donna Jordan offered a tutorial on it. She used other colors. Fun to see it in a holiday theme here.
Hi Shawnalee…same for me, I bought it years ago after Donna did her tutorial. I might make one today for fall. So many projects, so little get up and sew! Enjoy y’all.
I like the new bubble view of the sewer, their heads are lovely but faces are more so. Thanks.
That’s exactly what I thought. Christmas around the corner, let’s go have plenty of craps and the memories of this craps will bring. Thanks Jenny.
I, too, saw Donna's tutorial and remember her tip when sewing the pieces together to make the star pattern, to start in a couple of stitches then backstitch so you won't see any cut threads. Also backstitch at the end. It makes it look so nice.
I saw hers, she died several years ago. Sad
Who died? Donna Jordan is alive and well and still making great tutorials.
I can imagine making it enlarging the plate by adding extra rings on the outside and making a large medallion for a enter to a table square or making a Christmas tree skirt. Wonderful pattern and fabrics. THANKS SO MUCH✨🌺✨
The tree skirt idea is brilliant!
So cute! And it looks so much more complicated…thank you for making it so easy Jenny! Love the little inset on the video! Nice touch!
Nice improvements on the videos of the tutorials: over the shoulder view of sewing/cutting. Now I don't need to flip everything around in my mind and hope I flipped it correctly!
I watched Donna Jordan make this 2 years ago and she used charm packs.
The template came with my pattern when I bought mine.
I'm gonna have to make this again but into a quilt as you go quilt this time with sashing and borders.
Thank you Jenny and Me and My Sister. A cute, cute project!
Very sweet table runners. I like the one with the border better than the other one but both are lovely.
Hi from Minnesota
Love a dresden block. So cute!
So cool! I can see this with a sky blue & white metalics to make them look like snowflakes as well! Thx for the video!
SWEET!! This looks fun to do & table runner is very pretty. Trying to picture a baby quilt made by this design in fun colors. Thank you, Jenny Doan for😊 sharing
Love this tutorial! You always make complicated looking quilts sooo easy to learn. Thank you so much for everything you do!!!
You did it again, Jenny! This is perfect for Christmas in July! Thank you for your time and talent!
Oh gosh!! This is seriously so cool!! I ordered the rulers because I know you guys will come up with other things!! Maybe even a triple play!! Can’t wait to receive my package! Hugs!
Amazing. Very festive and so versatile. It would make lovely pillows or baby quilts, too. I probably would strip piece the four patches though - as I'm lazy 😉 Thank you so much for ths idea 😊
I thought the same thing. Strip piecing is so much more "efficient," not lazy! Lol
I love this block. It was so easy to follow. I used Halloween fabric for 6 blocks along with a Skeleton panel. The recipients loved it. Thanks so much for always sharing fun tutorials!
Jenny, I just love this pattern ! It looks so CHRISTMAS to me!❤😊
So cute I love that you added the stripe fabric
Great runner.
Love the pattern and I like borders also. Can’t wait to make. Thanks again Ginny for all you do for Quilters.
Thanks! These table runners are gorgeous!🌺🌸
It would great as a Christmas quilt. The runner was great too
To reduce waste, you could make an HST from the top corner of the four patch that gets cut off.
And those 1” strips from the initial cuts could go into crumbs. After I burned my 1” strips (not putting fabric into landfills), I realized just how often I use them! Won’t take long to build that back up.
I fell in love with this pattern so bought it. However I didn't realize it wasted so much fabric. I am going to try to figure a way to wast less. Fabric is so expensive now.
I'm thinking the same. Perhaps starting with fat quarters, using strip piecing, and subbing little strips and a tiny square for 3/4 of the four patch?
@@franpatzcraig6713 Worth a try!!
Sus trabajos son maravillosos!!!!
Such a lovely block it’s so effective on the white background. I think I’d use a glue stick to hold the Dresden in place while I stitch it down, it saves getting pricked by pins and the glue just washes out.
F
It’s a beautiful block
Very cute runner, but TOO MUCH waste. LOVE the fabric.
Great ideas for other holidays and colors - Americana, Halloween, etc. I have ruler, fabric, and other things already in my basket!
I just bought this pattern. What a coincidence that you just did a tutorial on it. ❤
Beautiful little table runner!
That is really cute! Thank you Jenny! I love a Dresden!!
Lovely and so different too. Makes a nice Christmas runner
Beautiful table runner ❤💚 ❤
Thank you, Jenny ❤❤❤
IT WOULD ALSO MAKE A GREAT PLACEMATS FOR THE TABLE AND IF YOU WANTED TO YOU COULD MAKE A WREATH FOR THE DOOR OR WALL. SOME TINY DRESDEN WOULD MAKE A BEAUTIFUL CHRISTMAS ORNAMENT FOR THE CHRISTMAS TREE 🎄
This is an unusual but very effective pattern and I love Dresden plates. As familiar as I am with making the standard ones, I see that this Dresden plate is a little different. The camera work for this tutorial is very different . In fact I found it frustrating because I couldn’t see you ironing and so much was shot from a distance. The overhead shots, which are important, were only of Jenny’s head. I don’t ever like to be negative and I hope you can accept this in the spirit in which it is given. Love you girls and your channel - I watch everything you ever do. Thank you so much. 💕🥴
I like the over head camera.
I too have the book by my and my sister along with the template. The wheels are turning on now for my next project. It's been a while since I have used them, very happy with both.
Love love love this pattern 🎉 x
Thank you for the tutorial. Not super simple, but not hard either. ❤
Una clase magistral como siempre la das . Muchas gracias x compartir
Omg!!! This is adorable!!!! Ordering my supplies now!!!
So clever! I can’t wait to make these!
I bought myself some fancy chop sticks that I LOVE to use when turning dresdens! :)
Great video 🌺🍀🌹🌿🏵🌱🌻
Great idea for Christmas gifts
Ooooooo the possibilities ❤
Love it! Thank you from Norway! 👋
Love this pattern!!
I love this pattern ❤ I was looking for a different pattern to use ❤ thank you ❤
Great, thank you for sharing 😊
Time to pull out my Christmas fabric scraps.
Thank you so much! Nice.
Love It!
Such a cute idea! Thank you!
I love this quilt. I love the beautiful tutorial setup too, but feel like it needs brighter lighting. This feels shadowy and gray to me. It could be just me but I feel like Jenny deserves sparkly bright lighting!
Love it
Like both table runners. But the whole time I was watching, in the back of my mind I'm trying to figure out what to do with the "cut-away waste" fabric. Guess I'll figure it out when I actually make it.
Agree. The picture in picture is great, but does anyone else also find that this new set up makes it really hard to see the quilts? The old set was SO much better!
Great project
I’m so excited. I already have this template. I think it came in one of the Jenny Christmas boxes
Loved it. Want and will make one.
❤❤❤
Very nice Jenny
Just love it. I need to FIND the template a few years ago and USE it
Navy blue background or dark hunter green would be beautiful
It's very pretty, but there's so much waste! Any way to use some of it?
Donna Jordan did a video on the same table runner by Me and my Sister designs two years ago and the template was included in the pattern . 🤔
Yep, not sure why they opted to use the layer cake..*shrug*
I thought this looked familar. I looked through my patterns, and found that I already had this pattern with the included template, which I ordered a couple of years ago from Jordans.
huge like!
This would look great in 4th of July fabrics. Looks like fireworks. I would do 1 as focal point and mating fabric squares as a wall hanging
Love you on the bubble ❤
could you sew in strips and then cut the 4 patech
I could see this in icy blues , 4 blocks togehter for a tabletopper?
Love this! Do you use starch or no starch? If only occasionally, when?
Would the template work with larger blocks instead of 3", say 5"blocks to make 4-patch?
Great video! The link isn't working though for the pattern and supplies.
Is there a larger template
That's excactly what I thought, maybe to use 5" squares for the Four Patch would be great for a big quilt, love greetings from Germany ❤
I had trouble cutting the template out because there was such a bump where the seams met. It was tuff to keep the ruler from slipping.
The link to order supplies is not working.
Is there a pattern for this.
Has Jenny’s team or Barb and Mary of Me and my Sister Designs figured out how to make a New York Beauty Block with the ease of this block???
Hi
Why won't the link go to the ruler needed? It says "page not found" 😒
Darn not letting you order a template or supplies
Your link doesn’t work and when I search the template (double wide Dresden template) nothing comes up.
Would be interesting for your team, to re-design this pattern, get the same effect...without all the waste... that is just crazy to me...all that fabric that is too small/wierd angled to be re-used.
just wanted to let you know none of your get supplies here links work.
🥰👏👏👏🧵🪡✂️😘😍👍❤️
I made one of these last year before Christmas. Looks hard to do, but it really isn’t.
I love MSQC videos and look forward to them every Friday, so please take this as well intended. The new angle of the set does not offer viewers the best way to see the wall project. It is distracting and the viewer can’t study the sample as well. We are too far away. Please go back to a “ straight on” set. Thank you for listening.
Lighting is weird on this set.
I tried and tried and clicked on the supply list for this tutorial and nothing comes up! I’d like the pattern and Dresden tool, your website is not very user friendly!
Really cute pattern but I have to wince at seeing so much fabric wasted. The pieces cut off are so small they wouldn't even be easily used for something else. Fabric is so expensive these days that I cannot feel justified in making this one. Maybe I could figure out another way. I'll have to give it some thought.
It is a cute little runner, but I agree with the others, too much waste.
This is adorable, but so much waste! 😢
