Also, yes, understanding the fundamentals of electricity and knowing exactly how it operates literally makes you not die. You cannot die from your circuit's output if the output never becomes lethal. Simple as that. You can't die either from a short from the power supply to you directly either if everything is configured properly. Not to mention whenever he is messing with true high voltage, he has a magic fucking horseshoe up his ass that is connected directly to a gcfi for his power. If he gets a big shock, his gfci pops. He's demonstrated this before.
Mehdi is actually a fantastic role model. Anyone would be lucky to have him as a dad.

Apparently, there was this Soviet Russian toy in the 60s that was basically about for how long you can hold two metal handles that electricity was going into, the point was to make you more "heroic" and raise your pain threshold.

I went to look at your daughter's channel, and the channel lived up to the name. She was adorable to watch and clearly inherited her father's smarts and character. I'm sad it seems you guys only made a few videos, but it was a real pleasure to watch and brightened my day. I know the videos were 7 years ago(and this 4) so she's probably a very different person now, but if she's still interested in making content, I'd like to highly encourage her... and as a disclaimer because I know the thought can't be avoided online, I mean this in the least creepy-internet-guy way possible. It'll probably come off that way anyway but I don't care; giving a word of encouragement is more important to me even if I get looked at funny.
It was clear she's intelligent and was as fun to watch as her father. It's not everybody that can convey excitement/fun about a scientific topic as well as being a generally interesting personality like you two can, and she feels like a natural. She seemed a little more reserved in this video, but I suppose that's a natural part of going through adolescence and I'm sure she'd grow out of it. I just wanted to express support for somebody who seems talented with an interest in science and a natural capacity to entertain and communicate.
If it makes more sense and makes it less creepy, I suppose I'd say I care because when I look at your family I see something I wish I had growing up, but while my own family environment was great in its own way, there was no one close to me that gave me the kind of influence and mental stimulation you've clearly given her(or was capable of the support and guidance you could give her in both science and content creation). I wanted to create websites and work with computers growing up, but no one around me knew the first thing about any of it or cared in the slightest. So, I think she has an excellent opportunity to put her upbringing/environment to good use and could be a great communicator, but not everybody wants to create content, much less be internet famous. Whatever she does, best of luck to both of you and I hope this wall of text won't backfire.

For the wire toy you need to put a resistor on the LED like a 1kΩ or anything that will make it bright enough to see. The resistor acts as a diode. But it doesn't provide protection against reverse voltage. It keeps the LED from breaking.
