It's gone take some time for Bobby to regain his form, it's out of whack right now, he has to eventually get his rhythm back. Same thing with Walker Buehler, his mechanics needs working. Gavin Stone is having a good pitching season, is consistent along with Yamamoto and Glasnow, James Paxton is coming along better. I'm liking our bullpen this year with Alex Vesia, Evan Phillips, Daniel Hudson, Michael Grove, Ryan Yarborough, Yohan Ramirez, Banda, Blake Treinen and Michael Petersen, they have done well in the pen even without our other relievers in Joe Kelly, Dustin May, Ryan Braiser, Tony Gonsolin and Brustal Graterol, while still waiting on our legendary starter Clayton Kershaw to return, though he had a set back with his shoulder a few days ago. Looking forward to Yamamoto, Mookie and Muncy to return from injuries as well, with all of them playing, we most definitely can win it all.

IMO I think our pen is Great! Only issue I see is: which ones make playoff roster?
Miller or Kersh will be that playoff 4th starter. May long shot. Trade or Knack maybe if he can develop a system of guessing hitters, instead of his scripted pitch mix. One reason why Barnes is still here - he can guide our pitchers to a level above their ability. Just sux watching our 6-9 hitters going 2-16 with Barnes in their: No Smith,. Max or Betts

Stone last year had two pitches. Now he has five. He is learning his craft at the major league level and I believe going to be even better in the years to come. Nothing wrong with situational pitching to contact. Usually less pitches thrown, shorter innings and pitching deeper into the game. Lee wear and tear on the arm!

Way too much emphasis on velocity when evaluating pitchers. Not to mention the greater chance for injury for the guys that throw harder. I see teams trending back towards command and durability at some point.

Stone was a big surprise for me this year. I didn't know what to expect, and maybe I expected very little at the start of the year. But after he took a perfect game through 6 innings, I started to pay more attention because I thought it might've been a fluke outing. But he keeps putting up quality starts. I think that's the key difference between Stone and Miller: the consistency. With Bobby you had some really high highs, but also some pretty ugly lows and in the end, it evened out a bit more.
I feel like Bobby can turn it around, but I don't know if it'll be this year--especially if the injury is more of a problem than is being admitted. But overall, I expect no one to be good coming off injury, so I don't hold it against the players.

Miller is very much like buehler. Both have relied on high velo stuff to get them through lineups that they never felt a need to develop high level command. Stone has decent but not overwhelming stuff and had to develop better command to survive. Basically, Stone took steps to become a pitcher and not just a thrower. Plus, Miller looks like he has not developed the mental toughness to get through high leverage moments and limit damage, he basically just throws a FB as hard as he can whenever he gets in a tough spot. That is why I liked urias more than buehler at their peaks. Urias' shoulder injury sapped his high velo stuff, so he had to become a better pitcher relying on location. Buehler relied on his velo and didn't need to live on the black or set up batters during an at-bat. Miller needs to reinvent himself much like stone and urias, but because he still has a 99 mph FB in his back pocket and lacks the mental toughness of those two, he may be better off as trade bait down the line or ultimately, in the bullpen like mason miller.

Stone and Miller are actually two different pitchers. Miller's your classic young workhorse power arm that takes time to fully come into his own (history has proven this time and time again). Stone has more of a pitching "prodigy" air about him by comparison (like Julio Urias prior). Those types are extremely rare and the Dodgers should be counting their blessings for uncovering him the way they did back in that 2020 Draft. Miller's current issues are relatively easy to fix. He just needs to calm down and trust not only what Smith and/or Barnes are calling behind the plate in his scheduled outings, but also the defense playing behind him as well (probably why Miguel Rojas really laid into him in his last start against the White Sox the other day, lol). I'll even go one step further and say he should be following fellow teammate Tyler Glasnow's work preparation STEP-BY-STEP this season because once upon a time Glasnow found himself scuffling in a similar way after he first came up to the bigs. That said, really pleased to see two more talented homegrown Dodger arms on their way to establishing their big-league careers (hopefully with the same club for all of their prime years)...
    😊🙏

Miller or Kersh or Buehler or May will be our 4th starter in playoffs! Well be fine! One of em will be elite this year amd one will be above avg. And one will be avg or below avg but an inning eater.
Knack will be a great regular season guy this year, BUT .... he is way WAY to predictable for the playoffs! He'll get knocked around with singles by SD or Philly easily
I think he can get thru 5 innings with AZ or ATL tho Cubs he can kick butt, SF too. Mets i assume.
But Knack in WS would be killed!
We need Miller!!! I don't care if he gets beat up for 5-10 starts, we need to try. Walker.... He was busted n just wasting starts. I think Buehler's outlook from thenfirnt office: " hes gonna suck, but let's give a chance jts, and he can eat innings for a month and a half. Then we'll option/Phantom IL him".

Definitely too early to say that Miller is a bust, like some "fans" are saying.
Personally, what makes Bobby so intriguing is not just the velocity, but the movement on his pitches. His change is really nasty, especially coming off that fastball. His two seamer is pretty wicked too. The curve is filthy.
He just needs to trust his stuff more. Seems like he should just ask down the middle and let the natural break take the pitches wherever. The four seam is the one exception where he does need to have more fine control.
